GoogleSt. Katherine Docks is a prestigious marina located in the heart of London, near Tower Bridge, the city's landmark. The marina consists of several basins, with footbridges spanning their connections. Berthing is in y-booms, with electricity and water connections at each berth. Washrooms are fully equipped and top-notch. The service is very competent and friendly to sailors. Near the port, you'll find lofts and an elegant pub with a long history, the Dicken's Inn. I recommend it to all sailors visiting London (both the port and the tavern)! 😉
The price is adequate for the level of service offered, luxury comes at a price 😜
The marina is entered from the Thames via a waterway that opens from -2 HW to +1.5 HW at London Bridge.

GoogleThe location itself is absolutely beautiful and incredibly clean. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into maintaining the area, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Truly a great spot to visit!
However, I feel the need to share a quick safety warning: please watch your belongings closely. There are pickpockets operating in the area, specifically "engineers and doctors" on bicycles who look for opportunities to snatch phones or bags while riding past.
As long as you keep your phone tucked away and stay aware of your surroundings, you’ll have a fantastic time. Everything else about the place is perfect! 😍

GoogleVisited Galleon Andalucía when she was docked here. This location is surrounded by stunning historic sites that include The Tower of London and Tower Bridge. A 3 minute walk from London Bridge. I got a few half-decent photographs, but it chose to throw it down during my visit making access to the ship slippery and not for the faint of heart. I forgot how busy London is around the tourist sites, but there are plenty of delightful distractions to peruse.

GoogleSt. Katharine Docks is a beautiful location surrounded by moored Thames Barge and yachts, with a variety of restaurants to choose from.
I highly recommend visiting the marina if you happen to be in the area, as Tower Bridge isn't the only noteworthy area nearby. It is hidden behind the Tower Hotel and is a perfect place to walk and relax while having lunch or dinner in the nearby restaurant.
Occasionally, special boats come and go, like the Spanish Galleon Andalusia, which has finally docked in London and is staying for a few weeks.

St. Katharine Docks Marina, nestled in the heart of Central London, is a hidden treasure waiting to be explored. Here, where the Thames River gently laps against historic quays, modernity meets maritime charm.
A Brief History
Once a bustling port handling luxury goods like tea, spices, and wines, St. Katharine Docks has transformed into a vibrant waterside community. The Nautical Vibe
The marina buzzes with activity, sailboats bobbing, seagulls swooping, and the occasional yacht gliding in. The view of Tower Bridge from here is nothing short of magical. It’s a snapshot of London’s past and present, framed by water and history.
Practical Details

GoogleWe actually came by the area to get lunch at Dickens Inn but it was surprisingly quite a nice area to walk around in. The docks are lined with restaurants so there are plenty of places to eat and relax. There was also a medieval banquet restaurant here but it looked closed when we walked past. There are also quite a few footbridges that go over the water. These bridges move around when a boat needs to pass. It was quite a nice place to walk around near the water. It is also quite close to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London but not as busy as those areas.

GoogleTo have accommodation in this incredible area made our trip to London one we will remember forever! And to sleep on a boat was as exciting for us as it was for the children! The boat was well equipped and cosy. There was great communication from the host.
It is perfectly located for the Thames Horrible Histories boat tour, London Bridge, Tower of London, Borough food markets etc etc
Thanks again 😊

GoogleAugust 2018 - An oasis of water and greenery in the heart of London.
Surprising, exotic and totally picturesque! A marvel of freshness and exoticism in the heart of London, a few steps from Tower Bridge.
London is definitely a magical, astonishing city, full of contrasts, diversity and fantasy. Gray rubs shoulders with bright colors on almost every street corner, and this small marina is no exception to the rule: kept like a secret by the tumultuous and exuberant city, it reveals itself to the walker sheltered from the bustle of the city, and seduced by its unexpected location, its smallness, its bucolic and charming side.
Just a few steps from the famous bridge, and you will find yourself in the heart of London's Little Venice...

GoogleDocks of St. Katharine only a few minutes from the Tower of London are the most picturesque docks.
It's a nice place to sit in a café and watch the world go by while admiring the boats moored at Central London's sole marina (and perhaps fantasising about owning one of them).
St Katharine Docks was named after the former hospital of St Katharine's beside the Tower, which was on the location in the 12th century. Every Friday, the Docks hosts the renowned World cuisine Market, which serves some of the greatest street cuisine in the city.

GoogleVery nice, small harbor in the middle of London. Within walking distance of the famous sights. Quite expensive mooring fees, but very nice and well-kept sanitary facilities with m/f/d bathroom cells (shower, toilet, sink). Tens of restaurants and pubs in the immediate vicinity. There is also a supermarket (until midnight every day) right around the corner. Friendly staff, except on the radio on channel 80 for the sluices into the harbor.

GoogleYou wouldn't immediately suspect that this harbor is right next to Tower Bridge, behind large new buildings. This gives you some peace and quiet from other tourists. There was something special about seeing a sailing ship come from the Thames, first into the lock and then into the harbor. The combination of tradition and modernity in London fascinates me, especially since everything seems so harmonious. There are new surprises on almost every corner. Very nice

GooglePerfect to stroll around on a sunny day. Walk along the footbridges and watch the drawbridge raise and allow boats into the marina. Lots of super yachts moored there and The Gloriana (the Royal barge), too. Plenty of eateries and bars to enjoy some food or drinks outside taking in the surrounding views.

GoogleThis London neighborhood is truly a world away. It feels like you've left London for a moment, far from the city's hustle and bustle. And yet, it's right in the heart of the city, at the foot of Tower Bridge. This tranquility perhaps stems from the marina surrounded by charming little brasseries, perfect for lingering over breakfast or simply enjoying a coffee.

GoogleI visit this pretty corner of London at least once every two months. It's close to the train/underground station and walk to it is like going through history, culture, modernization and so much more.
Restaurants and cafes are nice with reasonable prices and choice of food.

GoogleIt was a nice experience, and the restaurants and coffee are normal. There is a Burt, Powell's and Cuba coffee a little after the marina. It may be better than what is available. In general, it is worth a visit and you can get it by Uber by the river.

GoogleTook a stroll around St Katherine Docks after a river boat tour. This is a part of London I have not really explored. It was very lovely and almost did not feel like you were in the middle of London because it was a marina with lots of boats, restaurants and cafés more akin to the South of France. It is a short walk from Tower Bridge and is definitely worth venturing around this beautiful part of our wonderful city of London.

GoogleToday was a Historic Ships event, with musicians playing big band music, face-painting, food stalls, water-bicycle things and water paddling-boards that you could have a go on. Of course the dock was prettily decked out with bunting, etc, on all the boats moored up. A very pleasant day soent mooching around in the sunshine!

GoogleFormerly a part of the London Port, serving more commercial purposes, St. Katharine Dock is now an upscale marina where residential, leisure and dining endeavours are pursued.
Located just across Tower Bridge Road, you can easily visit St. Katharine Dock for a quick walk around the marina before or after your visits to the Tower of London and/or Tower Bridge. You'll find nice yachts and other watercraft moored at St. Katharine Dock as well as a handful of restaurants and coffee shops.
In the end, not a place for everyone but a pleasant location for those who enjoy marinas and a nice spot for lunch in between your visits to the popular attractions in this area of the city.
