We moved from our flat in March, since that time we are trying to get back reimbursement which Dexters agreed to give us back due removing kitchen for two days. Until today we didn’t receive money back. Every month when we chase them, sending emails they are replying that by “14th “we should get our money back. Obviously still didn’t receive it. Very unprofessional and unreliable company. When everything is fine you won’t realize but when you face the issue in your flat/house problems start.

Appalling estate agents. We moved out of the property 20 days ago and the landlord agreed to the full reimbursement of the deposit. As Dexter's holds the deposit, they're not reimbursing our deposit and no one is responding to our emails either. Customer service worse than poor! They only ever created problems when we were living at the property and now they're trying to steal our deposit. Literally no one is replying to our emails.Reply to query. I find it very odd that you can't find me on the database. You still have our deposit. Liaise with Dexter's North, we have given them till 12pm tomorrow to reimburse our deposit after which we will be filing and official complaint and the team at TDS where you pay a premium has assured us that they will assist us with getting our deposit back. I will not be emailing you privately as you requested. As I have sent several emails and your colleagues have failed to respond.

This is the 2nd rental for our Apartment with Dexters. I have found them to be very professional and responsive to any queries. Our Manager, Connor Rowan, is excellent and its good to know that they deal with any issues promptly, which is important when you are not local and gives peace of mind.All in all, I would recommend Dexters as a Managing Agent.

Disgusting customer service.UPDATE : area director said he would respond the week after my complaint. I chased him a month later and he then responded. He hadn’t read my complaint. Tried to gaslight me by claiming that dexters weren’t aware of things I’d specifically addressed in the complaint and sent screenshots of emails discussing these things with Dexters. Vile.

You know the reputation that estate agents have for being immoral, ruthless and greedy? Dexters personify this to a tee.Most of the reviews here seem to apply to lettings; I can confirm that their heartless tendencies extend to sales as well. When we were looking to buy late last year, they were extremely pushy, effectively bullying us into only considering more expensive properties that we could only get through shared ownership. When we said this was not something we wanted to consider they basically told us we shouldn’t bother to buy a place if that was our attitude. Extremely unprofessional.Worse still, they put us on to a mortgage broker who, whilst initially friendly, soon told us that we should forget about getting a mortgage once she discovered that one of us is self employed. Given that literally millions of the population are self employed, this was clearly untrue; she was basically being lazy, as she could foresee hard work she basically didn’t want to do.I am happy to say that we were able to purchase a property through another, more friendly and less cold-blooded estate agent, along with an excellent broker we found ourselves via Unbiased. I know losing our business is but a drop in the ocean for a huge company like Dexters, so they’re not about to lose any sleep over this and the other negative reviews on here, I’m sure. Nonetheless, I’m not going to pretend that it was a very satisfying feeling to prove this arrogant company and their associates wrong!EDITED TO RESPOND TO THE (UPDATED) REPLY FROM DEXTERS 09/06/2023: I have been in touch on the e-mail address you have provided already, and your colleague replied and informed me that they have passed on my feedback to the relevant branch of Dexters. That you are sending this generic reminder now confirms either that you are either incompetent, uncaring, or devious (i.e. pretending I haven't been in touch as a pretext for getting my review deleted from Trustpilot).
