GoogleI don't often post reviews, but I had such a good experience with Phil from City & Urban that I thought he deserved a shout out. I was dreading having to the housing search yet again, but Phil made the process really easy. I really appreciated all the time he took to answer my approximately one million questions. Highly recommend.

GoogleI approached City and Urban as a prospective tenant but had a very poor experience with Phil. I found his approach to be entitled and dismissive, as if providing basic support / information was a massive inconvenience. How disappointing to be met with such an unprofessional attitude when you are looking to make a serious financial commitment. If you'd like to be taken seriously or respected in your property search, I’d suggest looking at other agencies in the area that actually value their clients.

GoogleI can only agree with the rest of the amazing reviews! I have had a wide range of experience with agencies/landlords across London over almost 4 years. We luckily found a beautiful flat and the team at City and Urban Shoreditch have been helpful and kind from the very start. Regarding any issues, maintenance, even last minute stresses etc. - John (& the team) has been very responsive, helpful and kind at any moment I have spoken to him also. I feel very happy and rather stress-free (for the first time in having a flat in London!) with this agency and highly recommend them. Thank you to John and the team at City & Urban Shoreditch :)

GoogleIt was okay at first till there was a huge leakage in the roof and all apartments suffered flood. There is no emergency number to call for help for them at all. All voicemails. We have to call the fire station to get help. Then we received a cold email with no apologies. No “sorry we will compensate your loss” just a condescending and shameless “yeah we know this now, steps has been taken”. Then we learnt this is NOT the first time the apartment roof has leaked under heavy rain. Apparently they did not make enough an effort to prevent same incidents. The two star is for when we report a broken item, they are usually prompt in respond. Like our boiler made noises at night and they tried to fix it for two times. Then the flood makes us meet the neighbors and found out all boilers do that. and it is tricky to get the boiler maintain a steady temperature for others as well.

GoogleHad a viewing today with Phillip. It was going well until I asked if the bills are included in the rent (which happens to be a case for some to be included - a regular question you ask when you are planning to rent a flat) and was called brainless. I am not sure if that’s the way you speak to your clients but I guess that might be the culture of the agency.

GoogleIn the busy, bustling city of London, finding a nice place to call home is more difficult than one may assume. Finding an agency that actually cares about finding tenants the right property and terms can be even more difficult. That's why I am counting my lucky stars that I found City & Urban. Every person I have dealt with has been as friendly as they have been helpful during my search process. I feel like the agents are truly on the side of their hopeful tenants as they have not only been excellent in finding me my place, but also negotiating terms and helping me complete the process of renting expeditiously. I feel extremely confident in my decision to work with City & Urban Shoreditch, not only because my new home is EXACTLY what I was looking for, but because I have found such a competent and caring team to work with throughout the process. Thank you specifically to Philip and Evan (I believe that's his name in the main office) for truly having my back and finding me my new home. I really appreciate all you do.

GoogleI would really recommend buying from City & Urban. Mahid is exceptionally efficient and attentive. Once our offer was accepted, he has stayed in regular contact and given us all the information we needed to successfully complete the buying (and selling of our house). I cannot recommend Mahid highly enough.

I had an issue with the deposit (it was not his fault) he got it sorted and i got the deposit back straight after explaining my issue. This gentleman is a professional. All the best!

GoogleHorrible experience. The agency lied about renting period, accessed our flat without permission and left the door unlocked. On move in day the papers had not been sorted and we almost did not get access to the apartment. Do NOT use this agency!
