Used these some time ago and they did not do any of what was agreed. After at least a week after contract was signed and numerous promises of it will be on today, my property was not on rightmove. I moved to different agent and property was sold. Also some of the financial products sold to me by their countrywide agent were not suitable or right for me.

Bairstow eves Bow branch etc. Called me back but because I was unable to secure the rented property within 6 days Failed to email me the property information that I requested. Failed to reply to my Whatsapp messages for a whole 4 days and have refused to explain why the property /properties is still advertised on EVERY search engine. Failed to explain why its being let at a different price and have blocked me from whatsapp. Just had an incoming call but they hung up before I could even pick up the phone that is sitting right next to me. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from Alan Harvey at Bairstow eves. Zero customer service skills

The agents are nice, but unfortunately they are capable of lowering the property's price. Despite assurances that the price is final, you shouldn't trust them. I do not recommend.

They don’t care about the state of the properties they rent out . They just want to get paid , keep the owner of the house happy . No rights for tenants , even if you have 6 kids they will serve you a section 21 after living in rubbish conditions and asking for it to be sorted . Minus 5 stars

This is more of a review on the state of estate agencies and their model in the UK - and Bairstow Eves is a great example.I have been a tenant with them for + 1 year. This is the experience:- Something needs to be fixed +10 days and 20 emails to progress- You need to inform them on a matter +5 emails til they get it right- You need to warn new tenants on a roof repair: the agent doing the viewing has no clue on the property he is showing, no one cares- You need to check out on the property: they ask you on a number of missing items / changes to the flat you had already communicated eons ego- You need your deposit back : + 10 calls and 8 emails and no response People are unable to progress and work efficiently as everyone is an intermediary. You need a repair, 3 third parties and platforms. You need your deposit back, contact these 2 other teams.The industry is full of intermediaries and every single touchpoint is a pain for the customer - everyone forwarding an email. The business that solves for this will change the industry.

Bairstoweves Purley the worst

With few words and sorry for the grammar mistakes DO NOT USE Bairstoweves in Purley at least this lettings office because is the one I know better than anyone.If you read my review I will save you money,stress and time...Perfect experience from their lettings negotiator Ivaylo and warm welcoming from Julie Goddard their Lettings manager until they give you the house keys and take deposit and rent,after that moment I realized that was "too good to be true", never responded again in our repair requests as should with the excuse of no response of the landlord. Finally the Landlord served us with Eviction notice 2 months ago and we moved in a new place .Unprofessional staff 100%,I bet that they are under-educated too for the role and this is the excuse I give them of handling bad the customer service. After 2 months stress and the compensation disrepair and fight over emails,they refunded £100 as goodwill. And the cherry in the cake is we have to fight to get our deposit back because trying to find excuses not to give it back.This is a lesson that never again deal with Lettings agency.

Very disappointed with the "service"…

Very disappointed with the "service" they gave to my elderly parents. They talked a good talk to get their sale but their service has been non existent. They pressured my parents into using their solicitors and I had to contact them to remind them that any instructions must come through me. They said they would mailshot properties for my parents to buy but no evidence of this. They had 3 offers during the first weekend of advertising the property and then immediately removed it from the website even though it was offers over. Absolutely no contact from the agents. Appalling service from start to finish. Very disappointed.

Would not use these again or recommend them to anyone, awful!!

I have been a tennant in a property for 8 years that was managed by Bairstow Eves Cannock until the landlord decided to sell with me as a sitting tennant. The new landlord decided to go with a different agent Connells who have been excellent. To begin with Bairstow Eves were excellent however those members of staff are no longer working at the branch. I was told by my landlord I was their best tennant they'd ever had having several properties in the area. For the first two years I paid 3 monthly payments IN ADVANCE. I had flexibilty when changing jobs a couple of times over that 8 year period with my rent payments which my landlord made official to both Bairstow Eves & Countrywide & so was logged on my record. I never once broke the official agreement & never once had any issues during the 6 monthly visits to inspect the property. As my landlord said I was the 'model tennant'. So imagine my utter disbelief that I now find that Bairstow Eves Cannock would not fill a Home Let reference in for my new letting agents potentially causing me to have to vacate the property!! Thankfully my ex landlord stepped in to rectify the situation. I find it bemusing as during the sale of the property I was told by Baistow Eves personnel that they would find me a new rental with them if it didn't work out with the new landlord. I smell sour grapes & total unprofessionalism. I have an eight year rental history with them & now they are besmirching my character which I am making a formal complaint about as the consequences of their behaviour has serious implications to me going forward. I have nothing to reccomend about this branch presently.

The Worst Property Agent Ever

The worst estate agent ever we’ve encountered. We’ve booked a viewing with them on Saturday 12:30pm, a lady called to confirm this appointment on Wednesday right before that. Soon we’ve also received a confirmation e-mail without our details on it stating viewing time on Sat 12:30am. We didn’t pay much attention and believe that “am” was just a typo mistake. When we arrived the door of that property on Saturday 12:15pm, no one showed up even we’ve waited half an hour. We called that lady and she said she didn’t arranged anything on 12:30pm! Without apologizing, attitude just like asking us to go away don’t bother. We sent her back the confirmation e-mail, she just said she had re-arranged ours to 11am the same day and re-sent a confirmation (without name or details) to us, in which we dig into all our inbox and junk box we couldn’t find any of what she had said. It is quite interesting when you gonna re-arrange an appointment, you need not to call or confirm with the counter-party. We haven’t received any missed call as well when we didn’t show up “on time” at 11am?!What even worst is that, we popped into the shop an hour later and would like to re-book viewing for this property. That lady rejected and said that was already under offer stage, she’s not gonna arrange viewing anymore. Wow! All just happened within 2 hours? Amazing!Wasted our 3-hour traffic time and vacant half-day of our only rest day of the week for this irresponsible estate agent!

If I could give a zero star I would

If I could give a zero star I would. Takes them months to fix damages, zero communication.. and basically told us they can’t do anything about a mold problem. They would just need to replace a part of a board.. but no can do. The house was given to us with light fixtures hanging off of the ceiling…. The stairs bannister was hanging off, the house smelt like an actual pig had been living in there for the passed year. We paid 6 months up front because we are relocating from abroad but they have completely taken advantage of our situation. I will never rent through the this company ever again.

USELESS SALES TEAM! So rude!

I enquired about seeing a house, and was met with utter incompetence by Abigail Coombs, the sales assistant, and her equally as useless male manager - who’s name I can’t remember. When I called to ask to view a house, I was put onto her manager, despite saying I didn’t need to speak to her manager, because it was out of my ideal spend. Just because I don’t want to spend over X amount, it doesn’t mean I can’t. However, I understand perhaps they didn’t want their time wasted. I then had to have this same conversation with her manager, some absolute shmuck, who asked me very pointed questions, his tone was appalling, to “check” I was eligible. Ie: Despite saying I have my AIP, I was asked how much deposit I’m putting down - why does that matter? Anyway, I was then promised a call back from Abigail and a house viewing confirmation, as soon as she was off the phone. Well, it’s been a 24hr phone call, and despite emailing last night, no one has come back to me. When someone I know, called her last night, she asked them to “make it quick” because she had to go home. What kind of agency is this?! They’re a JOKE.
