Corrupt Liars

Trying to buy a house. Lied continuously for a week that the seller hadn't got back to them, when I spoke to the seller, he told me they'd arranged new viewings. They never get back to you and seem very disorganised.They also try to sell you their own mortgage advisor and tell you that using them will give you an advantage.There is a reason their nickname is B*****d Thieves.

Professional, efficient and friendly service. All the staff at the Rainham Branch of Bairstow Eves have been outstanding and a pleasure to deal with.I originally used a lesser known estate agents, who did have cheaper fees, but I received a very poor service and consequently with no sale of my property. You really do get what you pay for.Being very apprehensive with estate agents in general, I decided to give Rainham (Essex) Bairstow Eves branch a try.They were absolutely brilliant and I cannot fault any of their staff.Thank you, Chris and your first class team.

KEEPING MY 3500 GBP (deposit & partial rent) for no reason

Partial rent & deposit is still not paid to me in more than 100 days after leaving the rented property on 31st March 2024. I had to leave the rented property early to move to mortgaged house. I have paid them 1500 GBP their non-sense early contract exit and property ad fees; still they are shamelessly keeping my partial rent (paid rent for full month April) and deposit of 2000 GBP, which is nearly 3500 GBP. I was not expecting their service to be the worst in the market. I am going to report to property ombudsman for sure. NO ONE SHOULD USE THEIR DISGUSTING SERVICES.

This is the 2nd time of using this branch. First to purchase and then 18 months later to sell. David the manager assisted with the purchase and was really good and helped every step of the way. This time Charlie has helped sell it. We have had a nightmare with the solicitorss but between us we have pushed and resoved any issues or questions. Today we completed on the sale. I would advise everyone to avoid …

I would advise everyone to avoid Bairstowe Eves Great Barr. We received very poor disorganised service in our case. It all started badly with them getting our property mixed up with another! It ended badly with it taking 5 months to sell to our very keen cash buyer. When this same property was purchased in 2003 it was all done in less than two and a half months, obviously Bairstowe was not involved.

Moved out of a rented property…

Moved out of a rented property 29/07/2024. Chased and chased for updates about my deposit being returned only to keep being informed we are awaiting details from the landlady. According to my tenancy agreement I should have been informed within 10 days of any ‘proposed’ deductions. 3 weeks on and no further forward. If I was in breech of the tenancy agreement they would be quick to act but when it’s the other side.. nothing!

Wish I used an alternative agent.

Most expensive agent we had come to assess our property. Did the bare minimum at every step of the way and were not helpful in any way imaginable. Did not want to get involved in anything and we were left to do our own sales & purchase progression while paying a hefty premium for the privilege. My advice would be to avoid Bairstow Eves and use a cheaper agent, while you'll still have to do a lot of the legwork yourself, you'll save yourself thousands of pounds.

One of worst letting agent

One of worst letting agent , they don’t have any ethics, they just need money 💰, worst customer service, we got a flat for rent in worst condition, they gave without cleaning, used toilet didn’t even flush , really shame on them, when we gave a complaint they didn’t even apologise, and flat is also worst condition, it needs to refurbish but gave for rent. Full of oily kitchen, got shocked after seeing bathroom. Owner will not pick calls, this letting agent will not take responsibility, but they signed on behalf of owner on the agreement. But surely I will not leave them, I’ll post in every forums.

Advertised flat for sale with a alloted…

Advertised flat for sale with a alloted parking space, then to be told I could only park my car in a very small space tight up against a wall, the space was smaller than my car, I don’t have a big car. I made it quite clear to Bairstow Eves that I only considered the flat as it had parking, not alloted small smart car only parking! The lies continued with this firm and they just repeat themselves like parrots. It has cost me 2.5k in fees and I have to pull out so a chain of 4 people before me are also going to be effected, I was literally at contract stage, the stress is unbearable that I and others are now going to suffer. I do NOT recommend this company, their tactic is also to say to the seller while you are there, oh don’t forget you have a viewing later and 2 further ones booked in! This is pressure selling and more than likely lies. The management guy that runs the upkeep of the building told me that if I couldn’t park there that I should have my licence taken away, change your car to a smart car! His rudeness continued until I was left in tears, the agent just stood by and did nothing! Avoid this company, they talk the talk but never follow through.

I relocated from Wiltshire 2 months ago and found my new home with Bairstow Eves Estate Agents in Sittingbourne. From the start these guys have been great and extremely accommodating. Tony (The Manager) has gone out of his way to show me the properties that I was interested in. Tracy finalised all the administration work and I moved in within two weeks of signing up with them. The zero deposit scheme which they're company is introducing, is absolutely fantastic and it helps new tenants find their new home without breaking the bank balance. Thank you guys for everything. I don’t just make reviews unless I have to. But a family member has their house for sale with B&E. and quite frankly from what I keep hearing it’s not a very good service at all. I also did my own way of contacting as a perspective buyer. 5 times I made contact with the local branch and not once have made contact over the property I was enquiring about. It also concerns me that there is no main number to call them apart from the local branches which if they are not providing a good service it will be there word against yours over any complaints to head office. So they have eliminated anyway of taking an issue higher than the branch. Which you need to ask do you want sell or buy a house from this organisation ? Also my family member had their house reduced without any written confirmation of them taking this action. So it would appear they can do pretty much what they like in terms of when it suits them rather than what suits there customers.
