Stephen was fantastic! Having tried a few local estate agents, we went decided to go with Hunters. Stephen got us two offers fairly quickly after going to market but unfortunately they weren’t at the level we wanted. He didn’t put any pressure on us to think about lowering the price and after a short period he returned with a full asking price offer. He was always happy to discuss your thought/field your calls and must importantly gave feedback after each viewing. We can’t reckon Hunters (in particular Stephen) highly enough.

He was the third agent I used. The other two said being Christmas, things are slow. We had been trying for two months to let our house through other agents. Within a couple of weeks of appointing Hunters they had conducted around a a dozen viewings and secured a few good offers, one pf which we accepted. They very quickly picked up on the type of tenant that we wanted, and didn't want ! We were looking at houses to rent around South Croydon & Purley. We had looked for over 6 months but all experience’s with agents weren't good. Truth be told we were getting very disappointed, then one day a house came on with Hunters. We spoke to Micheal to book a viewing and with in a matters of days we had moved in which was unbelievable. Michael Silk is a big help to us. In a record short of time (a few days) he found and organized 7 visits to our house that led to 2 offers. Michael took time to speak to us, rapidly came to our house when needed, took great photos, understood our needs of having someone taking good care of the house, and by his own hands did the final touches to the house before the tenants moved in. I have never experienced such incompetence. Property was advertised with incorrect details, including an inaccurate floorplan. Pressured to increase offer based on information that was not true. Then after 5 months of radio silence, the director, Min, was rude and pushy trying to get the sale completed, all whilst the seller's side wasn't actually ready! She was unprofessional to my solicitor, so much so that the seller's solicitor had to explain processes and call her out. She would call and email without the correct information, as if we were holding things up. Avoid like the plague, do not trust them with your sale or purchase.

When we first decided to sell our house just over two years ago, it was through the same agent we had bought it from when we moved to Worcester Park in 1990. Unfortunately the experience was less than satisfactory; just four viewings in 3 months, and we found ourselves tied into a 20-week contract. We decided to put the move on hold for a year, after which we contacted Stephen Buffham at Hunters. The service we received from them, by contrast, was excellent. A realistic valuation is given at the outset, rather than an artificially inflated figure that the seller is then quickly put under pressure to reduce. The very first people to view our house on the launch day put in an offer that we accepted. Stephen is extremely dynamic and pro-active in his approach. He is prepared to go the extra mile in seeking to secure positive outcomes both for the sellers and their buyers all the way down the chain. Min Sharma also is very efficient and on the ball on the admin side. We are more than happy to recommend Hunters to anyone wishing to sell their property.

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants don’t care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and it’s so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

Rude, poor service - a must avoid for renters

Rude, get passed around from pillar to post while they try to ignore your requests or questions. Tried for years to get them to fix things but just continually fell on deaf ears. Now they're trying to claim issues are my fault which are down to shoddy contractors (which they use consistently, including at one point despite having had yearly gas checks, I get told that the previous 6 years hasn't been done properly and the build up that caused a leak was because of this. Everything is everyone's issue but theirs. Renters, avoid at all costs!

EVIL SHARKS - BEWARE Served a no fault eviction notice via email at 22:30 at night on a young family with 2 children under 10. How can this kind of action be reconciled with 'serving the local community'. They are clearly getting in before the law changes to prevent this kind of sharp practice. I'd suggest you never have any dealings with these uncaring, money grabbing, amoral people. The very worse of the property business - you have been warned. Note: I am not the affected family so this is an un-biased review.

Great experience buying my flat with Hunters at Worcester Park. Viewings were arranged quickly, and when I wanted a second viewing of the one i wanted Stephen was able to arrange it straight away and I was having another look within hours. All communication were answered very promptly and was straightforward throughout. I also have to mention the aftercare. After I moved into my new home, Stephen still made himself available to find the answer to any further questions I found I needed to ask during the process of settling in. I would certainly recommend them.
