We sold the property at asking price within 4 days of being on the market and even though the process had a few snags the team couldn’t have done enough for me. Elliot in particular was a great asset and responded to my endless texts and calls whenever I reached out to them - I would recommend them highly!

GoogleI came to Barnard Marcus when I was unsure wether I should sell my property or rent it out. Both the sales and lettings team were able to provide me with really helpful advice and I didn't feel pressured by either side. For these reasons I would highly recommended going to Barnard Marcus, Sutton if you are thinking of selling, renting or buying as you will get good, genuine advice from friendly staff members who really do want to help!!

GoogleSCAM!!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!!! Worst experience with this Company Left the property 4 months ago no sign of my deposit till date habe been told 2 months ago that my deposit has been released and now we are in end on Dec and no sign. Please Hire more professional and fit to do work on staff or shut down your business. A big money making business because the property is let again and barnard marcus now has my deposit and the deposit of the new tenant

GoogleI need to warn people of this branch that they will lie to you and not Return phone calls, it got to the point that we had to go via their head office to get the money they owed us as the Lettings manager Vincent Amgepong and Megan Reeves refused to tell us the truth. It took us nearly three months to get our money back as when we did actually speak to someone all they did was lie. Please use other estate agents in the area as these people are shockingly bad at their jobs.

GoogleWould highly recommend! Luke and the lettings team made the process of finding my parents a rental property very smooth and easy! They were always available to help whenever we had any queries which I can appreciate was difficult as my parents are both elderly and new to the rental market! If you are looking for a place to rent or even looking to rent out a place yourself then these guys would be the first agent I'd recommend to call!

GoogleWe bought a house in a new development, and our first contact was Chelsey, who was our mortgage adviser. I have to say, she really set us off on a positive start. She is knowledgeable, caring, professional and simply lovely to deal with. She would even chase matters not specifically under her hat anytime we had a query or a request. Chelsey, thank you so much for making our experience that much nicer, and getting us a good mortgage deal. Keep up the good work.

GoogleHaving previously previously been let down by other agents, I was very sceptical/reluctant to use their services again. This will be the third time I am moving house and, lo and behold, I can honestly say, Barnard Marcus, Sutton branch provided the best service in selling my property. At the initial valuation meeting with Elliot, he did not promise me 'heaven and earth' like two other very well known Estate Agents did. Instead, he assured me his staff would do all they could to sell my flat in a reasonable time frame. True to his word, even before my property went online, he had already arranged three prospective viewings. The flat was listed on 06/11/17 and I received, and accepted, an offer on 11/12/17. Throughout this time, all the staff, Elliot, Amanda, Chris (if you're looking for a mortgage he is your man!) and Scott, have been amazing. I can't fault them. Prior to the sale, there had been a constant flow of viewings and feedback after was timely, honest and informative. My advice to anyone looking to sell their property, avoid any estate agent who tries to bamboozle/impress with figures, fancy talk etc. The service, professionalism and integrity received from Barnard Marcus, Sutton branch has been exemplary. Incidentally, the person buying my flat was one of those who viewed the property before it went online. There's nothing like been pro-active and hitting the ground running. The speed and efficiency of the sale has now enabled me and my Fiancé to purchase our new property. I hope this unbiased review will help make up your mind. Please ignore all the previous negative reviews and give this great team an opportunity to market and sell your home.

GoogleI never find time to write reviews but I had to make sure I did today. If you can’t praise someone for not only selling your first ever home, but also finding you your forever home then when can you!? We wasn’t 100% sure if we were doing the right thing when we put our flat on the market. We had 2 valuations and then asked Scott to come out to give us his opinion. He gave us the most genuine answers and made us feel most at ease. We then had the pleasure of dealing with Amanda. She was very approachable, informative and professional and we sold our flat on the first day of viewings. She then found us a house perfect for our needs that we probably wouldn’t have even looked at had it not have been for her recommendation. Thank you very much Barnard Marcus Sutton.

I would especially like to mention people from Barnard Marcus, who were of great help; Christopher Breach helping me with mortgage and all the stuff relating to financing, Scott and Elliot from sales helping me in finding a right house for me and the whole branch staff was very cooperative. GoogleI would like to thank the staff at Barnard Marcus in Sutton for all their help during the sale of my property . Scott and Elliott in particular went above and beyond with the professional way they handled the sale ,which in this case was not always easy . They both kept in regular contact and kept me well informed and conducted themselves with integrity and courtesy throughout . Due to my circumstances I found the whole process difficult at times but they did their best to make it as stress free as possible and for that I will always be grateful . I would definitely use Barnard Marcus Sutton again if I needed to in the future .

GoogleThe staff at Barnard Marcus have given me a nightmare experience of letting my home whilst living abroad! They have succeeded in providing me with not one but TWO bad paying tenants! Their whole attitude towards me, in trying to ensure payments, looking after my home and helping me with making legal claims against these tenants has been appalling.The Manager of the branch has constantly ignored my emails - always out of the office or unable to answer emails!? I have been batted around from one incompetent staff member to another - all passing the blame onto their colleagues. Many of my colleagues have also had to rent their homes using different Agents and are shocked by the poor treatment I have received from BARNARD MARCUS IN SUTTON. I initially chose them because of their claims of years worth of awards - I am amazed they could ever be given an award for good service! There are plenty more Agencies to chose from and I advise anyone to do just that.

YellUnethical and tough experience
I was pressured into hiring Barnard Marcus sollicitor and mortgage brokers, which cost £500 more than the ones I already had an arrangement with. BY pressured I mean they told me I would lose the property to another offer, and within a day of refusing I got gazumped. It's hard for me to believe it's not linked. Also when my offer was qualified and accepted they refused to show me other properties however they obviously actively looked for better offers This should be illegal. I really dread contacting them again as they run most of the properties on the market in the area I'm interested in. This really sucks.

Before going with Bernard Marcus I was letting out my portfolio with another well known brand in the sutton and morden areas. However after constant incompetance and the loss of a vast fortune I was approached by a poractive member of staff from Barnard marcus (Billy) who saw my property online knocked on my door to reveal to me that he had tenants ready to view and that the rent was extremely underpriced. 24 hours later he had a tenant for me for £200 over what it was originally (wrongly) priced. I decided to move my portfolio to their excellent management service which has proved how incapable the previous company had been! I am happy to say that we have just let out our third property with them and again the service has been exceptional! I would recomend these lads and ladies to any one looking to let out or sell their home. Very personal service and down to earth bunch!

YellFraudsters and Inept
I am a landlord of 6 properties, I made the mistake of letting one of my properties through this joke of a lettings team. Firstly they did not explain all the charges, the charged me over £500.00 in fees that were not explained and related to the property, they kept the first months rent payment and deposit despite it being a legal requirement to register this with the government scheme. I cut the tenancy agreement short as they wet charging me an absurd amount per month and added a further 2 per cent to the figure which was not explained. They were a bunch of cowboys and to be honest an embarrassment to the brand. My tenancy agreement has ended thankfully but I am out of pocket the last months rent as the inept staff gave the rent payment to the tenant despite it being owed to me. I am lucky as the former tenant has seen the mistake and is transferring the final payment to me. This is over £1400 by the way. Their management is a joke and must be illiterate if you pay the first months deposit and first months rent which is held, the deposit is to be returned and the rent is due to the landlord. Common sense but not for these clowns. If you are a Landlord stay away from these clowns. I was lucky to get away unscathed and not out of pocket but that's down to good fortune. BEWARE
