Disgusting for a New Build

I currently live in a gleeson estate and have lived her for 14 months, all works to be corrected have been added to there portal and I am still waiting for this to be completed 14 months later which in turn has meant I am unable to decorate which I need to do as there decorator was terrible. The communal areas although all residents have been lodging complaints for months has still not been completed and are overgrown and some areas not even had fencing or grass done. This estate was classed as completed in January 22 absolute joke do not buy a Gleeson home I beg you it will cause friction in your marriage and family and you have to hound them to do any work and escalating through there complaints has made no difference

Longford 4 bed review North East England

We bought a Longford (4 bed, 2 bathroom) in March 2021 which was completed 3 months behind schedule in Nov 2021+ reasonable for 219k at time of purchase+ used NHS Key Worker scheme to get upgraded kitchen worktops - property riddled with issues which, when reported to the "Portal" online, becomes clear they're really common for Gleeson houses e.g. Damaged turf, chipped doors, leaking bath, missing fence - moved in 9 months ago and still have serious defects not resolved as Gleeson prioritise new developments and have left half our estate with broken patio doors and damaged turf - poor staff retention rate meant we went through 3 sales representatives, 3 site managers and now onto our fourth customer service representative who is "on a call" every time we try to contact her Conclusion: Gleeson delete all Facebook comments made about our development (Windermere Green) to prospective buyers so please, don't believe their argument that "it was just one site...it depends on the site manager". All neighbouring Gleeson developments to us have reported similar issues, please pay for a professional snagger if it's too late and you've reserved or bought.

Absolutely disgusting service nothing but messing about site sales team could not be bothered to deal with new sales as wanted to sort out her bonuses for end of year sales area sales manager never gets back in touch will only let you buy house if you go through meridian as sales said they know what we want and are the best about got a mortgage all lined up and agreed but meridian said I could not afford so gleeson would not proceed offer on house made the first time then when arrived to pay money told gone up £1000 and was just laughed at. By time gleeson sorted house gone up again £6000 disgusting service AVOID at all costs

I moved into my new Gleeson home 8 weeks ago and I am very delighted with everything. We have had a few small snags which have been dealt with very professionally and very quickly. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and nothing is a problem for them. I can definitely recommend Gleeson Homes after my experience.

Reasonable priced house

Reasonable priced house, very little amount of snags (which shocked me as I worked in customer care for electrical contractors of new builds and saw many builders had loads). Any little issue we’ve had was sorted in a reasonable time too. My only regret is not getting a 4 bed instead!

AVOID GLEESON HOMES

Buying your first home should be a highlight of your life. Gleeson sold us a dream but once they got their money they hardly respond, promises that were made when reservering our plot got twisted and backtracked. Costumer care is just pointless! It’s take 3 weeks to get a response and months to solve an issue. The reviews on Trustpilot are definitely accurate! We do NOT recommend Gleeson homes to anyone.

I purchased a new build on the Middlestone Meadows site in January this year.I have found the staff, from sales executive to site manager and site workers extremely helpful, professional and friendly.The few snags which have occurred have been repaired very quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend buying from Gleeson on this development.

Don’t buy one

Don’t buy one! Contacted customer services at least five times and no reply whatsoever. Also they ban you from commenting on Facebook if you make any comments that are negative. Every comment I have ever made has been honest and true. Absolutely disgusting service. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Don’t Buy From Gleeson

Gleesons are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard, they was ment to come out and fix our french doors as they would not lock, site manager had sent some and they have now made it even worse but gleesons think not being able to lock your doors is okay, they are an absolute joke

slow to rectify issues, roads left unfinished

been in our house around 3 months, still waiting for our drive to be finished with final layer of tarmac as currently cannot get car onto the drive due to the size of the kerbs! have been told that nothing can be done til the council adopt the roads and paths. roads are also in poor condition with pot holes, raised ironworks and most of the kerb stones broken. just glad we didn't pay a lot!

Outside tap

Had an issue with my outside tap, reported it after only living in the house 2 weeks, cancelled it cause it started working, reported it again in Dec, defect declined saying its weather related. Since found out many people on the estate had same issues, therefore not weather related and an actual issue with the tap. Been living in my house 6 months, biggest mistake of my life buying a gleeson home

Still waiting for the house to be finished 22 months after moving in!

Well, we've now been in our house for 22 months and Gleeson STILL haven't completed the work! The rest of the estate has been completed but we have not had our driveway done. Gleeson promise month after month that it WILL be done, yet here we are still waiting. Worse experience we've ever had. If I had £1 for every apology they offer, I could pay my mortgage off.

Do not ever buy a house from gleeson homes! Take your hard earned money elsewhere. They are an absolutely disgusting company to deal with, they always deflect blame onto the customers rather than admitting liability themselves.We have had blocked toilets for 7 months BECAUSE OUR PIPES WERE FILLED WITH EXPANDING FOAM! It took them 7 months of over flowing toilets, a huge leak on Boxing Day, my cat sick and admitted to the vets for them to actually discover they had filled our pipes.I made a complaint and the response I got was that it happened because too many people were involved... too many people were involved because nobody in this company responds to you so you take things further. I had the blocked toilets logged for over a month the last time until someone actually did anything and still then they did nothing. They left us over the whole Christmas period unable to use our upstairs facilities!!! We could use the downstairs toilet and all this while we have a young baby in the house.I’m currently contacting all local papers and radio stations to make them aware and others aware of this awful company.

Did plot 2 birch green get another freebie gift for their positive reviews? Worst company we have ever dealt with. Non responsive and still have issues. AVOID AVOID AVOIDAlso it's not freehold it's fleecehold. Your house WILL be passed to an estate management company and their fees are unregulated and uncapped so BEWARE. All these "brand ambassadors" getting freebies for positive content how about look after ALL your buyers equally

This review is purely for the sale advisor and not the rubbish company the only good thing about this company is the sales advisor who was so helpful and sympathetic towards us and our needs. She went above and beyond for us would never recommend buying a gleesons home but the sales advisor debrah was lovely
