PATTINSON MORPTH ARE A HORRIBLE ESTATE AGENTS !!!

*** UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU RENT A PROPERTY FROM PATTINSON ESTATE AGENTS MORPETH ***1) I arranged to view an apartment on Monday 7th October 2024 with Pattinsons Estate Agents Morpeth which stated on their website available to rent from the 16th September 2024.2) Charlotte Bruce showed me around the apartment which I thought would be a lovely home🏡. Charlotte Bruce was very polite when showing me around the property however gave me false information saying that the property was available to move into.3) I really liked the property and offered to pay 6 months rent in advance at the property viewing and showed my banking app to prove I was in a position pay six months upfront. I also showed my work DBS check to show that I would be a trustworthy Tennant.4) Charlotte Bruce did not inform me that the property needed a new Gas Safety Certificate and an Electrical Safety Report !!! Even though the property was advertised on Pattinson Morpeth Website available from the 16th September.5) I paid the £200 Holding Fee the day after the viewing with good faith to secure the property after paying the Holding Fee there were no updates whatsoever unless I contacted Pattinsons Estate Agents first.6) 17 days after paying my Holding fee the Gas Safety check had still had not been completed !!! I then asked for my Holding Fee to be refunded.7) Charlotte Mason from Pattinsons phoned me and refused to refund my £200.00 Holding Fee despite the Gas Safety check not been completed and no suggested moving in date for the property 17 days after paying my holding deposit !!!8) 21 days after paying the Holding Fee and only just finding out a move in date and me informing Eloise Wallace that I would be complaining to the Property Ombudsman with a large amount of supporting evidence Eloise Wallace agreed to refund my Holding Fee.Eloise Wallace did not apologise for the terrible service I had received from Pattinsons Estate Agents Morpeth !!!*** Morpeth is a very small Town and if the only option is to rent a property through Pattinson Estate Agents then make sure you see a valid Gas Safety Certificate & Electricity Report before paying your Holding Fee ***

Extortion.

There is no financial incentive for them to sell your home for the best price for you. The £6000 fixed commission puts paid to that whether you sell for 1m or £100. I would carefully consider going down this route before anything else. They managed to organise only two viewings in three weeks with their miserly property investors.Furthermore, they have been misleading in details prior to signing binding contracts, even when I pressed them for assurances at the start. Not good.They managed two viewings in one month. Other agents will get that in one week. But the worst thing we found is the lies and trapping you into commitment. It has been a total waste of time, money, and stress. And they STILL prevent me from selling with another agent because of a clause in the contract you sign!Absolutely disgraceful that this business practice goes on.8th Nov Update- They are asking for 1200 pounds even though they did not sell the house in the auction! They want paying for something that didn't sell! The house is effectively shackled, doing nothing, because I can't seem to get out of an association with them. It's ludicrous.... they aren't making money. I'm not selling anything. I don't know when it will end. What's the point!?Another update- When the agreement ends they send you a 'list' - some 200-300 here... of interested named individuals. (bearing in mind only two people came to view the property, so this could just be an email shot to their clients, not that they are actively interested in purchasing). If anyone on this list expresses interest in your home in the future, even under a different agent you may be liable for costs. Unbelievable. They have you under a barrel. It's all wrong.

Good service - buyer's solicitor stopped communicating and eventually admitted being unable cope (having taken money from the buyer in advance). Much to frustration of all concerned. My Experience with Pattinson Estate Agents, Low Street, Sunderland I recently booked a viewing for a 2-bedroom flat in Low Street, Sunderland through Pattinson Estate Agents. The initial booking process was handled professionally, and when I had to reschedule due to travel constraints from London, the staff member was courteous and accommodating. However, after traveling over 300 miles from London to Sunderland, a journey that took four hours, I received a phone call from the estate agent informing me that my viewing had been cancelled. They explained that the property owner had accepted another offer. What I find extremely disappointing is that I was not informed of this change earlier, especially since the agency knew I was traveling from London. They had my full address on file and were fully aware of the distance and effort involved in attending the viewing. This lack of communication resulted in a wasted trip, cost, and considerable inconvenience. My main question is: Why wasn’t I informed sooner that an offer had been accepted on the property? It seems inconsiderate and unprofessional to allow someone to travel such a long distance without updating them on such a significant change.

Jason was a lair and missed the appointment

Jason is the office branch manager in Jarrow area. I made appointment at 11:30 with the staff named Jason. However he said he was too busy to come in time so asked me to view another one with him at 12:30 however when I was there at 12:30 but I did not see him. When I phoned the company and asked why he did not be there and the company told me that he was left because I did not be there? He was definitely a professional lair because I kept the video record to prove I am there. Pattinson is a big estate agent but why allow lair worked for them? I come from Birmingham and it wasted me 7 hours driving. Not trust “ Jason” if you have appointment!!! Be careful if you have appointment with him. He must wants to back home to watch the football Newcastle to Liverpool today. Very bad guy.

Patterson’s jarrow lacks good customer…

Patterson’s jarrow lacks good customer service, are untrustworthy and never deal with a situation- just hand you over to someone else who also has no idea how to cope under pressure. They took a holding fee from myself for a property and with some issues (with a CCJ that was in my partners name… with investaigtion it was not his abs evidence sent to them) we lost the property. We were told if we found out the CCJ information and could provide evidence that it was not my partners then the holding fee would stand. Since then, the house has been given to another tenant and a holding fee was taken off them. There has been the most shocking communication from pattinsons with regards to the property. I’m aware that the landlord has no idea what has been going on as the wife of the landlord has fed this back to the neighbour of the properly who has contacted me to tell me this. Really terrible service from all who were involved- which was at least four colleagues. I will never use these services again and will be telling everyone I know never to use them. Terrible business.

Went to view property at field head Longhorsley Put an offer in waited 3 days no reply I then had to phone Lisa at KP in morpeth sorry we haven't heard from the vendor then two days later I had to ring again and was told if we put an offer in of 310k the vendor would except that another 3 days went past no call back I rang Lisa at KP morpeth again and was told they can't get in touch with the vendor I then found out that night the vendor had contacted Lisa at KP morpeth to apparently tell them to put the property to auction still no contact of Lisa At KP morpeth and so my wife rang another week later and spoke to Lisa at KP morpeth and was told they have a cash offer in for the auction and we still have not been told our offer has been declined she acted as if she didn't give a toss well lisa at KP morpeth and Keith Patterson and directors thanks for wasting 4 weeks of our time I would never deal with Keith Pattersons estate agent ever again as they are unprofessional and don't give a toss I hope people read this and don't deal with them as they are a shower of poopCHEERS

Although the house sale should’ve been fairly straightforward, unfortunately it was anything but that thanks to the solicitor we appointed to conduct the sail. However Rachel was there every step of the way to help and advise us for which we are extremely grateful. If we ever needed to we would certainly use Pattinsons again although we would appoint a different solicitor. Thank you Rachel for all your help and support, much appreciated.
