After deciding to let our property, we looked at a few agents. By the time Louise Barnes from Leaders in Sudbury came for our appointment they had already been proactive in looking through their contacts and searching for a tenant. Louise came with a sample inventory and information pack, and as first time landlords we had lots of questions and were unsure of a few things. Louise was knowledgeable, professional and put us at ease, costs were in the range of what we had in mind, where others were a lot more expensive - therefore we chose Leaders in Sudbury, as no other agency measured up to them. Moving on our property was let very quickly, we chose to have fully managed as we don't live nearby. All safety certificates were organised, a very detailed inventory has been made, and a landlords portal set up. We have a direct contact if we have any issues and feel very happy with our decision to let our property with Leaders in Sudbury.

I have been a tenant with this company since moving to Suffolk in 2013 - when it was called Vella. Since then they’ve evolved with times and formed a team that is focused and motivated to help. I have recently moved for the third time with Leaders and each time only because the landlords have decided to sell. Each time I have received my deposit back in full. Each time they have gone out and of their way to ensure we are supported and given the facts straight and simple about what properties we are looking at. The GoodLord software is challenging tbh but fyi - all letting agents use it, so deal with it and Leaders have some of the most patient techies. Finally, I can only add, if you are honest and upfront with them about what you want and what you need - they will try their absolute best to get that for you.

I recently ventured into the bye to let market and was recommended to use Leaders, which proved a valuable choice. Harrison and the team led me patiently through the whole process from start to finish with plenty of very good advice and guidance. Introduced me to many local competitive contacts to assist in various remedial works that needed carrying out before letting making the experience so much more stress free. I was promised at our initial meeting that they would have no problem letting the property that turned out to true as the property was let before I had a chance to finish the building works. A Big Thank You to Harrison and all at leaders. I would not hesitate to use these guys in the future or 100% recommend them to anyone else.

While we had a very difficult start to our tennensy (mostly due to previous tennent issues and the centralisation of leaders systems) we have seen nothing but hard work from the Sudbury team since moving in. They have rectified almost all of our issues and within just a few weeks we are now fully settled with only a few minor issues left in progress. The service received from both Lauren Vella and Alison Vella has been impecible and we can not thank them enough both for getting things sorted, as well as putting up with us calling every day for updates! For anyone higher up in Leaders, this 5* review is for the inderviduals at the Sudbury office. As a company you need to invest heavily in your infrastructure and user experience if you are to incist on having home moves handled by people who are in a totally different office and don't know the area or houses etc. (or just give more power to your front line troops of course).

This is my second time now renting with leaders and I will continue to do so!.. our last property we had some issues (with neighbours not leaders) but the team were so supportive in our decision to move out, and then again when we was ready, helped us find our perfect place few months later! Which we hope to stay in as long as we can. Avoid as a tenant. My landlord decided to sell after months of cracks in the plaster got moisture in the timber frame. Nothing was ever done despite complaints and I lost clothes and furniture to green mould. I asked a final payment, was emailed the amount, and paid it. Weeks later, last Friday, 5th April, I received a telephone message about an unpaid debt. The final amount was miscalculated and I owed a small amount. I found an email sent on the 5th stating I had ten days to pay. Today is the 13th. I have received an email today stating my debt has been transferred to a debt collecting agency!! Before ten days is up and because someone can't do their sums, which is not my fault. Just don't bother. Probably great company for landlords, as bat stuff off, but not as a tenant.
