GoogleWe had a very positive experience working with Greame at Open Door Auctions on the sale of our home. From the outset, he was proactive and clear in his communication, ensuring we understood each stage of the process.
Greame is clearly focused on achieving results for his clients and approaches the sale of a property with professionalism and strong market knowledge. He managed the campaign efficiently and kept everything progressing smoothly, which gave us confidence throughout.
Thanks to his efforts, we were able to successfully sell our home and move into our dream property.

They just cold called by knocking on my door trying to ask how marketing of our house sale was going. He stood on the top step trying to look in. I told him the sign on the gate said no cold calling and that I was not interested so he left.

Dear Tracy,
Thank you for your message and for bringing this to our attention.
I’m sorry to hear that the visit left you feeling uncomfortable. I understand how that would have been unsettling, particularly given the “No Cold Calling” sign displayed at your property.
While the intention was simply to introduce our services, we appreciate that the approach was not appropriate in this instance. We will ensure greater care is taken in the future to respect signage and personal space.
Thank you again for your feedback, it is genuinely appreciated.
Kind regards,
Kate

GoogleI dealt with Graeme as a buyer. At first, seemed very friendly and on the ball. Once our offer was accepted, his constant badgering to exchange was intrusive- I'd receive several calls a day from him. This was despite the fact that the relevant searches were not available (meant to be provided by the buyer) and there were issues with land registry regarding the title of the house that had not been sorted out- no solicitor under the sun would let anyone exchange in those circumstances.
We were even hearing from our solicitors that he was giving them false information that if we didn't exchange soon, we'd pull out of the sale!
It got to the point that I had to email the buyer's solicitor with details of the borderline harassment, and to set the record straight on what we had/ had not said! If we didn't like the house so much, we would have definitely pulled out of the sale.
Oh, and I must not forget to mention the surprise auction pack fee that was put under our noses on the day of exchange- this was the 1st time we'd heard about it. Needless to say, we refused to pay that fee!
Soon after exchange, we did not hear a word from him! disappeared into the woodworks. Seems he was just after his commission before Christmas.
Overall, very poor customer service and below the belt sales techniques- avoid!

TrustpilotBeyond lazy …. Do not bother!
I don’t know how Graham should get his commission from the sale of my house. Before I start I will mention that my ex husband engaged him, he was not my first choice.

Hi Amy,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience, as that is certainly not the outcome we aim for.
During the sales process there were points where you chose to manage certain aspects directly, such as conducting viewings and communicating with the buyers, which we were happy to accommodate. Our understanding was that this approach suited everyone involved at the time.
It’s also worth noting that both your ex-partner and the purchasers indicated they were satisfied with how the sale progressed.
That said, I appreciate you sharing your perspective and would be very happy to discuss your concerns directly if you would like to get in touch.
Wishing you all the best for the future.
Kind regards,
Graeme

GoogleGreat service from Open Door. Moved up to the area from London and Graeme got us a great deal on a great house. He was responsive and proactive throughout the process and also helped in pushing through our own sale to meet our timings. Would highly recommend.

GoogleWe instructed Opendoor to sell our house after being let down by many estate agents who claim to market your property who in reality just simply list it on your move and think that’s it. Shaun worked tirelessly negotiating with prospective buyers to get us the best outcome. This was all during having a new baby that was ill, and as we all know new babies bring sleepless nights. He always answered my calls or returned a call promptly. This was not an easy chain, there were many pitfalls to negotiate, and when on a few occasions the tears came Shaun was amazing, couldn’t have got through the nightmare without him. A very big “Thank You”

GoogleWe used Graeme to show us round a property near Gainsborough.
To put it blunt, he should be struck off.
He fetched on my wife and daughter, and he also gave us false information on the property we were viewing.
For example, we asked if it was listed as it wasn't described as listed , his response was " I wanted to lure you in"
Seeing that it took us an hour to get there I'm not quite sure his tactics are working.
I would avoid him a mile, be aware

GoogleDoncaster open door auctions
From the start seemed really good way to buy/sell until you go through the process I purchased a property through them
Very long process no solicitors have much idea of how the process works and there’s hidden fees along the way fees include
Open door buyers fee
Solicitors auction pack selling fee ? (Why) plus my own solicitors fee
Non refundable deposit
House needed a lot of work some which they told me on handover sold as seen no comeback like there no key for the garage and back house door doesn’t open THANKS
Only way I would ever recommend is the house was purchased at 75% of its value so you have some left to pay all the fees and sort all the problems why they use this way of selling
Last resort only !

GoogleWe have just sold our house through Open Door in what was a very quick and painless process. Shaun was efficient and professional throughout; his valuation was honest but realistic, and our sale was agreed just a couple of weeks after putting the house on the market. We were a little wary at first of the 'modern auction' method (not knowing much about it), but actually it's a great way to sell a property if you want to mitigate the risk of a sale falling through, or if you can't afford the time for the process to spin out for months on end. Because most of the legal work is done up front (thanks to Shaun for also recommending a brilliant solicitor!), we went from price being agreed to completion in just 6 weeks. In fact it could have been done in as little 4 weeks (our buyers had already sold their house and were ready to move in), but we didn't have another house lined up to move that fast - it all happened far quicker than we were expecting!

TrustpilotExtremely unprofessional - tread with caution!!
We were contacted out of the blue today as we have a property for sale on the market with a reputable local estate agent. Graham at Open Door admitted to googling our home, business and personal contact details in order obtain my mobile number. He then called me and tried to bu**s**t me they could sell our home in 3 weeks. Having pointed out to him the principles of GDPR, he was quick to exit the phone call, making excuses etc….I’m now in the process of filing a complaint with the ICO as this is extremely unprofessional business practices, in fact rather desperate practices and not one that gains a positive reputation.

GoogleI was interested in house marketed by Open Door, we were told by the agent Shaun that our offer had been accepted however when my wife visited the property for a second viewing she met the owners who told her that they were unaware of the offer and that it would not have been acceptable.
It appears that they play both parties to make a sale, dodgy practice in my book!!
The sellers after hearing what had happened removed their house from them.
I was also told by the estate agent selling my property that there are a number of solicitors who will not deal with them.
I would not use them
My advice, Seller and buyer avoid

Do not go with this company, Graham contacted me out of the blue, saying he could sell my house . However, he bullied, belittled and threatened me.

GoogleDO NOT USE!!
If I could give 0 starts I would, unfortunately there isn’t an option.
Whole process from start to finish was a complete shambles. They lie to get what they want, push potential buyers away with their pushy and arrogant attitude even the solicitors said they won’t use them again which says it all!

GoogleMost unprofessional, turned up on my door step without any notice and expected me to know who he was. Offered to buy my property but the offer was massively under market value and insulting to be honest. Would never us this company and would not recomend to anyone.
