Poor care

My tenancy ended more than a month ago and Knight Frank still has not returned my deposit. I have contacted them repeatedly and have been told several times that the deposit would be sent “tomorrow”, yet the payment has still not been received. The most frustrating part has been the repeated promises without any resolution or clear explanation for the delay. I have now had to make a formal complaint and consider escalating the matter externally. This has been an extremely disappointing experience, particularly from a company of Knight Frank’s size and reputation.

Knight Frank took over the management of my flat recently. Lety has been extremely helpful and communicative in solving any issues as they arise. She makes sure to follow up with external providers like plumbers until the problem is completely solved. When a problem occurred late on a Friday she made sure that the situation was ok through the weekend before the problem could be fully addressed on Monday. I appreciate her timeliness and responsiveness!

Waiting for deposit for four months

Rented an apartment for 3 years where they were managing agent. We moved out in February, and are still waiting for our deposit to be returned despite repeated requests (that's almost four months). We had the apartment cleaned via a company that they themselves recommended. The checkout report showed only minor damage (wear-and-tear). But after three months, then want to deduct almost a thousand pounds from the deposit for damage and a "top-up" cleaning. It seems like a tactic to screw people over: wait for an extensive period before reacting and then just make unreasonable claims, hoping that the other side just accepts it. They're effectively just running cover for rich foreign landlords with questionable moral ethics. Fair enough, I guess that's how you make money these days. Still just one star from me.

I rented a flat in Elephant and Castle with Louna Del Barrio as the agent. I’ve worked with many agents over the years as landlord and as tenant and she was easily the best.
