Choosing an estate agent can be a bit of a lottery. They all tell you how well they know the local market and give you a host of reasons why it should be their board in your front garden. I can only speak from my own experience and say that by appointing Walton and Hipkiss to sell our house we got it spot on. From the moment that Brett Watton first visited our house to the the very last phone call we had with them they were totally professional. Most importantly they got our house sold quickly and efficiently but it wasn't just that it was the way that they achieved it. Their staff are exceptional. Jack and Lydia were brilliant. They really were first class at handling the viewings and the whole process of communicating feedback. As I said at the start of this ramble choosing an estate agent can be a bit of a lottery. Would I choose Walton and Hipkiss again? Absolutely.

From the outset the team at Walton and Hipkiss have been excellent. When Alice first came to value and discuss marketing our property we felt that she understood and appreciated our needs and the key marketing strategies required to achieve a good price and sale. There was a clear professionalism apparent making choosing W&H a simple decision. During the sales process Jack and Lydia were excellent. Jack was understanding and helpful regarding viewing and negotiation of offers received and with navigating the inevitable difficulties when buyers changed their minds. They were always on the ball and seeking to move things along swiftly. All in all an excellent service.

I was booked in for viewing early in the morning a few days in advance. The night before the viewing, by complete coincidence, I noticed the property was marked 'let agreed'. I wasn't able to reach out because the viewing was booked on a bank holiday and wrote an email explaining why I wouldn't attend. Instead of an apology for the lack of communication I was told by their assistant lettings manager Eleanor Hipkiss the following: "If there was no property available, we would have let you know and cancelled the viewing." The "property available" was outside of my price range with too many rooms for my needs... It seems the agency only cares about landlords and treat prospective tenants like a means to an end rather than customers.
