Despite reassurances that all was okay, nothing was further from the truth. It was a complete waste of time and they would only "actively" market the property after we had "passed" the money laundering requirements. Which of course we had to pay for.

It does not matter how many house moves you have done in your lifetime - when you reach your last years, the relocation is even harder. Of course, today’s technology has changed the process completely. Having googled house move, I got GetAgent company. The lady who answered (Grace) reassured me that she would be happy to answer any of my questions and she did! One of the most helpful things was that she gave me the list of local estate agents in their ranking based on the accuracy of their house evaluations, average time from going on the market to the completion of the sale, the percentage of the estate agent’s fee, and numbers of their recent house sales in the area. She reassured me that there would be expert advice on many of my concerns and also that there was no fee payable to GetAgent and no obligation to proceed at any stage except after exchange of contracts.The top estate agent we chose is excellent. On his first visit, we talked extensively about the whole process of selling and buying. He and his team know our location well as they live dotted around within the community. They have a fingertip feeling of the factors affecting the pricing of the houses and are able to recommend the price range to achieve a successful sale. The innovative approach to presenting the property online is mind blowing utilising virtual walking through the property, ‘air brushing’ something that would otherwise spoil the experience and creating a helpful experience from the first look. This site/company is a helpful site for information. I was looking for good estate agents in my area and they offered to do a comparison on the site, just pop in your info and there they are, all the top ones. So I sent the convenient message that popped up and waited for a call from the estate agents.I got a call, not from the estate agents, but from a lovely helpful man who asked if the agents had called to arrange a viewing, which they hadn't because it hadn't been long since the message was sent. They then called them for me, so helpful.They liase with agents that have agreed to work with them and I have been assured that there is no cost to yourself, and neither is it passed on through agent fees.Looks as though there is lots of other info on the site as well although I haven't looked through it.
