A huge thank you to Jen, James and the team at Wards in Staplehurst! Jen handled the sale of our house after we had been very underwhelmed with Purple Bricks who had previously been handling our sale. The difference between Wards and Purple Bricks was like night and day, Jen was very informative, knowledgable and clearly good at what she does, she came round and after looking around the house, offered us a very competitive fee to handle our sale, even going so far as to offer a discount to make up for the fees already paid to Purple Bricks, she was clearly confident in her teams ability to provide 1st class service, and as it turned out she was right! Wards were attentive from the outset, and successfully matched our house to existing buyers who were looking for properties like ours in the same location. During the latter part of the sale we had a couple of hiccups in the chain, and it was good to know that Jen and James were on the phone chasing up the outstanding queries every step of the way on our behalf. We have recently completed and the move went well, none of this would have been possible without Jen, James and the whole team at Wards, we really can't thank them enough, and to anyone looking to sell a property in Staplehurst we can't recommend Wards highly enough!

I was one the those who had begun to think, why bother with estate agents? However, Jennifer and the team at Wards have proved their worth. Most of the viewings we got, in a tricky market, were generated by her and not simply from Rightmove inquiries. She went the extra mile to get us an offer at a good price and was always available to talk through how things were going and next steps. Jen’s enthusiasm and professionalism may change your view of estate agents too!

Wards Estate Agents - Staplehurst Branch - Jennifer Geoghegen (manager) Having entered the market with Wards in May 2020 with lockdown well underway, we were expecting a slow time marketing our house. However, Jennifer quickly got our details published and we were very pleased with her professional, unflappable attitude towards our sale. Despite the Covid restrictions, the whole team at Wards helped to provide regular, suitable viewings of our home throughout the summer, culminating in an offer to buy during autumn. Despite taking more than 11k in commission instantaneously and us paying the highest commission rate (in comparison to its competitors), this company cannot resolve a simple £100 giftcard we were due as a result of a referral. Jen particularly made a verbal agreement over the phone ‘I promise you I will make sure you get the gift card’. This was a year ago. This shows unprofessionalism, it shows that they actually did not care. It is a matter of ownership. If you are considering working with Wards, I hope you will take into account our experience. This gift card issue whilst appearing to be a small issue is a sign of the level of support they will offer you when you are selling your home. They offered NO support until there was a potential buyer a year later. We barely heard from them. I hope the management team looks into how our situation has been handled. Ownership. This company absolutely lacks that. Given them a deadline of a year to resolve a simple giftcard issue… we have now resorted to leaving this review to share our experience.
