GoogleA fantastic service from start to finish selling our property in Stafford. We had confidence in Chris and his approach to selling the property from his visit to the house, and the ongoing service from Tom, Michelle and Jo was outstanding. Jo in particular went beyond the call of duty to help resolve issues when they arose, and without her help we would have certainly experienced delays with the sale. BJB are clearly running a very well organised operation in Stafford. We did have other agents visit when we decided to sell but I am completely confident we made the right choice. Utterly disgusted to learn of how Butters John Bee has abused its power and the trust placed in it. It has taken advantage of a group seeking to offer support to migrant women. Due to coronavirus, this letting agency refused viewings of the property but promised that it was suitable for looking after vulnerable women. After committing to renting the property, the group entered it to find heaps of rubbish everywhere, a complete lack of basic safety equipment and not even a working boiler. The landlord then promised to remove rubbish, but this still has not happened. No prospective tenant can rely on a letting agent that so willingly misleads and takes advantage of vulnerable people in this way. Avoid Butters John Bee at all costs.

For clarity, we would like to highlight that this is connected to the letting of a commercial retail premises, rather than a domestic dwelling; our Newcastle under Lyme branch are in no way connected to this transaction. We regret that the tenant doesn’t feel the property is fit for purpose. We are working with the tenant and the landlord to come to a solution but as the contract is signed the decision rests with the landlord. Unfortunately, due to Government imposed restrictions, we were unable to offer an in-person viewing and sent the tenant a short video of the property which was recorded prior to lockdown. The tenant ultimately made the decision to sign the lease, having had the time and opportunity to have this reviewed, and paid the rent for the first year in its entirety in advance; this was not a requisite of the letting but rather a decision made by the tenant. It's an unfortunate situation and we’ll continue to work with both sides in an attempt to come to a satisfactory outcome.bjb Commercial team.

TrustpilotButters John Bee misled A CHARITY and took £5000 of their money!
Just heard about the Newcastle-under-Lyme branch of Butters John Bee completely misleading a charity and taking £5000 of the charities money!! The charity TWOCO works with survivors of domestic violence and their families and needed a space to continue providing support to some of the most vulnerable members of our community during lockdown. Butters John Bee said that TWOCO couldn't view the property cause of lockdown (fair enough) and instead provided photos of the property. However, after accepting £5000 pound FROM A CHARITY it turned out that the photos they had shown were completely misleading! The property doesn't have a boiler, it doesn't have a fire exit (this is a building that vulnerable members of the public are expected to use!) and was absolutely filthy! On top of this the landlord has been completely dismissive. Having said that he would clean and repair the property it is still left in a completely unusable and unclean state a month later, when vulnerable community members need support now! Butters John Bee need to let the TWOCO out of their contract. They need to return the full amount of £5000 to the charity. Money meant to support vulnerable people and their children AND Butters John Bee should apologise! Deliberately misleading a charity so that you can take thousands of pounds of their money is completely unacceptable.

During this coronavirus pandemic we haven't been impressed with the fact that Butters John Bee has laid staff off, a very good manager at that, however since dealing with Andrew Pass he has won back our trust in BJB. Over the past few days he has been so helpful, always replying to emails within hours and giving us every bit of information we need in a clear and kind way. At such a stressful and difficult time for everyone he has made our lives so much easier and we can't thank him enough, he is a credit to your company and this guy needs a pay rise!!

Awful customer service. Rang today to arrange a viewing on a property. I advised when I was free. Gave a big range or times then the guy was very rude and said it wasn’t up to me and that they had a block viewing for the house on Friday that was fully booked so I couldn’t go along (even though I would be free). Explained I was a cash buyer but he just wasn’t interested. I would like to know what the seller would have thought about a very interested cash buyer being refused a viewing on their house.

I lost a tenant a month ago and despite current restrictions, BJB secured me another tenant almost immediately. Rebekka Gill at Hanley branch has gone above and beyond, in particularly today, to ensure that the move could go ahead this week despite a catalogue of disasters (none of which were the fault of the agents) - thinking outside the box to find solutions and make sure everything ran smoothly. I hope she has a good bottle of wine tonight, she definitely deserves one!

Hello BJB - I've been communicating with Danielle concerning one of our tenants and her wish to re paint the house interior. This required Danielle to put forward my restrictions on colours and paints without upsetting the tenant. This she managed to do and even included the passing of paint and colour samples photographically between us! So far the outcome has been highly satisfactory for both parties and has obviously required considerable thought and initiative on Danielle's part. I have used BJB Hanley branch to do with the letting of our 4 properties. I have had Ellie Ratcliff dealing with the negotiation of our most recent let. She has been extremely efficient, helpful and courteous throughout our discussions. Despite the offices being closed, she has been a Trojan in continuing to complete the let for both myself as the landlady and for the tenants who are keen to move in. I can’t praise Ellie enough for her supportive nature in these difficult times. I would recommend BJB and Ellie Ratcliff to anyone looking to let their property out.

Fabulous service from the Butters John Bee Team in the Winsford office. Unfortunately, due to a change in circumstances, our first buyers withdrew from purchasing the property we have for sale, however, within a couple of days, Kathy and Tresa found 3 more interested purchasers. Within a week, we had 3 confirmed offers to consider, accepted one (already pre-qualified by the BJB Team), which we now hope proceeds to a conclusion (in these strange times we are all currently living through due to Covid-19).Great work from a dedicated and friendly team
