Karen is helping us buy our first home, she is kind and most of all caring and goes above and beyond. She makes you feel like you are the only client she has although she is so busy. I came to Orkney from Gloucestershire and she met me off the ferry and looked after me all day until I got back on the ferry. She is professional, informed and so helpful and it feels like she is holding your hand the whole time. I couldn’t recommend Karen and her company more highly.

The service on buying and selling through Karen and her team was amazing. Extremely well presented properties on the site.easy to read icons and eye catching videos and pictures. Those ones of our small house were fabulous the photographs were incredible especially those outside. Great job. They even helped us rehome our geese way above and beyond ...It was a pleasure dealing with the team very friendly ,modern and approachable ..unlike the rusty,dusty,crusty service you can find elsewhere.

GoogleI just moved to Orkney for my job and dream of making Orkney my home, but I can't settle until I have a place of my own. It has been a challenged and I almost lost the chance to get the house because I picked an incompetent and unhelpful solicitor in Kirkwall. GoogleA HUGE thank you to Karen Allan and colleagues for selling us the most amazing house!! I thoroughly recommend this company. Karen was incredibly supportive and straightforward and did a fantastic job of representing the vendor and the purchaser throughout the process without any compromise. Susie Mackenzie did a fantastic job of showing the property off to us when we did a viewing and they also did us proud with an initial video tour in the first instance. Hannah was also incredibly helpful, recommending a top conveyancing solicitor in Inverness, who made that process slick and speedy. It is no surprise that this is an award winning enterprise. Can't recommend Karan and her team highly enough. They were great assistance with both with the sale of my old property and purchase of my new one. As an offshore worker I was away for much of the process and they were very helpful as they took care of viewings when I was not available. She knows the market well and was always there to offer advice if required. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to sell or buy a property. Good job!

GoogleI first spoke with Karen regarding a property she was advertising for sale. After a brief conversation, I realised I was speaking to a genuinely honest, extremely affable and knowledgable estate agent. The advice she gave me during that phone call was totally impartial and turned out to be entirely accurate. It made me completely rethink the timeline I had initially set for selling our own house. On a previous house sale, I'd used a local estate agent in Elgin and it had went very well. Naturally, I had planned to use the same local firm again. However, my initial experience with Karen was so positive I decided to follow my gut instinct and ask her to sell our house instead. I can say, without doubt, it was completely the right decision. Throughout the whole process Karen and her team were impeccable. The photographers she sent did a fantastic job, as did the solicitors she recommended. Karen is assuredly a people person and does everything she can to help guide potential buyers and sellers through the housing market minefield. This was very evident by the number of people viewing our property that commented on how lovely Karen had been with them and how refreshing it was. Obviously this mirrored and corroborated my own first impression of Karen. I know that she also spoke at length to the unsuccessful bidder on our house to help put them in a stronger position for the future. For me, Karens excellent interpersonal skills are what sets her apart from the other estate agents I've dealt with. These skills definitely were a major factor in making this such a successful house sale for us. There will always be inherent stress in moving home, but I can safely say that Karen made this move as stress free as possible. If I ever choose to move again, I will absolutely be giving Karen a call. I highly recommend K Allen Properties based on my own personal experience.

My parents marketed the Edinburgh flat I live in with K Allan Properties. It sold in under a week with an offer on the table on day 1. All the viewings were arranged to suite me. It was stress free and I felt compelled to ask for guidance with what I should and shouldn’t say during viewings. The flats in our close that have gone on the market in the last few months have sold on or around asking. My parents flat sold for a huge amount offer asking. Karen was fantastic.
