In the end our house sale took 18 months to complete. Throughout that time Richard and Sue never lost their enthusiasm for getting it done, and provided a steady stream of viewers. They know and understand the area and have vast experience in selling local properties. Ours is a large old house in need of work so was never going to be easy to sell. Towards the end, when problems arose in the chain, it was Richard and Sue who held the chain together and liaised with other solicitors to get problems sorted and resolved. Certainly recommend them to anyone.

He arrived on time , was very professional , relaxed and friendly - making the appointment a pleasant experience. He confirmed an approx. valuation at the end of the visit and followed this up with a comprehensive report the next day. A very approachable person and Company , and we would certainly be happy to recommend them and would use them again ourselves

Amazing Service.. I needed a valuation on my property for remortgaging purposes. Having bought my home 7 years ago through Fine and Country I thought I would ask them to do this for me. Richard was extremely helpful and booked us in immediately for a valuation. Not only was he very professional in his approach, he also remembered our house, and was very keen to hear all the renovations we had done. He turned up with a massive greeting from our 3 dogs and went about the valuation. We then took him up on the recommendation of a financial advisor and booked that appointment too. We are not ready to sell up, but we will be using Fine and Country when we do as the service is personal. Thank you F&C (and Richard)

Unfortunately we had a very poor and unprofessional experience with Fine & Country St Neots. Despite numerous telephone calls and a previous visit from Paul Blake in March 2023, in October when we were ready to market our property and a visit from Paul (on 17/10/23) to sign the contract he sprung a surprise. There was a £600 + vat up front fee (deducted from their final fee should they be the agent to secure a sale). Should they fail to sell and another agent succeeds they do not refund. This immediately rung alarm bells, why had this not been mentioned at the original visit in March or during the telephone calls? We signed the contract but didn’t pay the fee as we required sufficient time to read the contract and paperwork thoroughly. We did provide a set of keys. Going through the paperwork we found the Market Appraisal paperwork was not in fact for our property but a farm down the road! The details including floor plan were totally incorrect. Once we had had time to discuss we decided not to proceed with Fine & Country. We could not trust an agent who springs surprise fees at the last minute and could not be bothered to check their own paperwork before leaving it with us. There was also another surprise fee of £60 for an identity check (they outsource it) again which was not mentioned to us at any point during telephone calls or meetings. Very underhand. During a telephone call with Paul when I explained our decision and why on 19/10/23, he tried to blame the incorrect paperwork on the internet and then on another agent. I have to say he was so unprofessional it actually shocked me. He refused at all to accept they had made the mistake. Finally after I had emailed him confirming our decision on 19/10/23 I requested he return our keys. It is now 1st November and I requested them on 19/10/23 and our keys have still not been returned. We realise Fine & Country have some very good reviews and people have had a good experience with them, in fact it was one of the reasons we decided on them but for us it was a truly dreadful experience.

We recently purchased a property on the market with Fine and Country- St Neots. It was a very difficult property, old and in need of upgrading. It was in less than ideal conditions for an easy sale. Richard and the team at F&C were brilliant- there were many queries, questions and numerous visits regarding the property. They were efficient and professional in their manner and more than accommodating with our requests. Good communication is a must with the property market and they were on the ball at every occasion. The types of property that they deal with can often be difficult to sell and market, and due to their nature they require a lot of in depth work behind the scenes to get the deal over the line. I can safely say that when it comes to selling the property on, I will only be happy if it is in their hands.
