A big thank you to all the team at Ashton’s Estate agents in Eccleston and St Helens who I’ve dealt with regarding my recent house sale. From the moment we met Jonathan and Nicola at Eccleston , especially Jonathan with his straight talking advice and help. We knew it was the correct decision to put it for sale with them. All the staff I’ve dealt with are extremely friendly and knowledgable.The sale process was so smooth and efficient keeping us up to date all the time. Will be recommending them to everyone. My property sold before the other two properties that was put on sale before mine in the road too . Thanks again.

Steer clear

The most unpleasant experience I have ever had with an estate agent. This once market leader has become the worst estate agent in York and it is all down to the attitude of the front line staff. Staff couldn't even answer the phone in a professional manor, never once got back to me and when chased they were rude on the phone. When questioned about their commitment to their responsibilities they became arrogant, even more rude and passive aggressive. If you ever have need of an estate agent, steer clear of these guys, they are the worst.

I would have rated less than 3 Stars only for Jonathan being helpful when he came to value the property. I found the communication very disappointing with the office staff, and also the after sale tracker was never updated even on completion it still read "Welcome pack received". So on my recent experience with Ashtons I would not use them again.

I bought my dream home with Ashtons and I believe Nicola is the reason for that. Nicola is absolutely amazing. She is very professional but also friendly, caring and very attentive. There where many ups and downs with my solicitors but Nicola was there any time I needed and always on my side. Nicola always sees things through, with speed and goes the extra mile. Nicola is the only estate agent you will ever need. I will be sad to not be speaking with her on the daily. Wishing her all the best for her future. vey helpful and knowledgeable with a smooth process from enquiring about a property we found, to fund, meant placing our own property on the market, which was very promptly valued and returned with a more than fair valuation by Johnathan, which was evident in receiving a full asking price offer, before the board went up!!! Nicola kept us fully informed throughout the process and was very accommodating and professional in all aspects of the sale/purchase, unfortunately our offer was unsuccessful so consequentially the process was stopped and our property was taken of the market which was done with no fuss at all all in all a very satisfactory service by some very capable and efficient staff, I wouldnt hesitate using Ashtons again if we find another property we are interested in

Racist agent

The agent that showed us around the property was incredibly intrusive and judgemental I would even say racist. It felt like we were being interrogated by the agent for wanting to relocate. The agent asked too many intrusive questions and actually had the cheek to ask if me and my partner were together a few times. My partner is from overseas. Thank you for letting us see the narrow minded folk of York prior to making a big mistake.

Possibly the worst estate agent in history. We live opposite this bunch of fools in St Albans and for the last three years their alarm goes off after midnight all the time and we cannot sleep .if they cannot sort out an alarm problem then they are not that good for property matters . Avoid at all costs.
