The whole team is unprofessional

Jodie is absolutely unprofessional, not helpful at all and only cares about getting the deposit money but whenever there are complaints they aren’t replied to and re-directed to anyone that can deal with it. In our flat we have been dealing with a mold and we had to fix it ourselves and we have been waiting about 5 months if not more for the repairs to be done after our previous tenants and yet nothing has been done. The lady called Lydia has emailed us about an “inspection” that she didnt get into details of and told you that a colleague will come to our property on the day and time that none of us are available and are not replying to our emails asking to reschedule on a day that is suitable for everyone as we feel uncomfortable with a stranger entering our property when no one is home. Abhorrent.

Alistair Maclean was very helpful!

I recently worked with Alistair Maclean of Dexters in a complex leasehold sale (the client's previous solicitors had failed to registered documents from 2001). Locating and obtaining the unregistered documents, getting consent from the freeholder's new lender, and registering those documents with HM Land Registry took several months. During this time the buyer had three changes of solicitor due to staff leaving. Alistair did an excellent job of managing all parties' emotions and moving matters forward to enable us to successfully complete the transaction.

Christian Pengelly in particular has been most helpful in sorting out some pod the more difficult problems. He has a considerable knowledge of tenancy arrangements especially of a more challenging nature.

A horrible experience

A horrible experience. Dexters arranged a viewing for us at the property when the previous tenant’s furniture was still in the flat. There was serious damp damage on the wall linings behind that furniture. They did not disclose this even though they were aware of a serious leak in the building and then failed to acknowledge their gross marketing practice. We made an offer. On the first day of our tenancy we discovered the damp on the walls, faulty electrics, faulty heating units and mold on the window blinds. Beware of trusting them

Just rented a lovely flat from Dexters London Bridge and would greatly recommend the letting service. Ida is very attentive to our needs and we managed to negotiate a great offer. I wanted to take one star was away because of the payment terms (without guarantors you need a two-month overlap payment). Under these days it’s a bit hard and I was not aware of that prior to submitting my offer. But some other large agencies also do that, so make sure you know the payment schedule before sending an offer.

Great customer service!

I moved into my new property on the 20th December 2022, just before Christmas which is a hectic time for everybody! However, with the assistance of Dexters (especially Bill) they have made my move very smooth and hassle free. Bill has been nothing but helpful, proactive and attentive. He has gone above and beyond to answer all of my questions and always gets back to me when he says he will (a lot of people don’t!). I was really impressed with Dexters compared to other estate agencies in the area. We had quite specific requirements and Dexters didn’t bombard us with things that didn’t fit the bill. (Compared to the daily emails I am still receiving from other agencies suggesting properties with the wrong number of rooms or 5 miles from school etc..) Bow was very honest and helpful and didn’t give us any off-putting hard sell. She just answered our questions and liaised efficiently with the prospective landlord.
