GoogleWe purchased our property through Michael Adey and we are so glad they were the agents selling the property. All the team are so friendly and helpful. We were kept up to date with progress throughout. We have to say a big thank you to Ali for all her help in getting us to an agreed completion date and exchange. The gift bag we received on completion is a really lovely touch.

GoogleIn our house sale the initial consultation and visits from Michael Adey were very engaging and professional. Michael clearly understands the local market and we had a choice of local agents to go with but felt confident in entrusting our sale to him. The preparation for sale and launch went well, all queries were handled quickly and efficiently. These early stages of process confirmed we’d made a good choice. The house sold quickly; it was a good house, it practically sold itself. We secured the guide price, were happy with that and set about securing a new home. Once we had an offer accepted on a property to move into, the grind of the completion process began and no matter which agent you go with this this is a complicated bureaucracy that involves many forms of torture. Communication could have been more proactive from the office, our expectations were raised and dashed frequently. Too often set deadlines flew past without hearing anything. We had to adopt a proactive approach to ensure we were updated and we had to be persistent to ensure progress was being chased down. The Michael Adey team were always pleasant to deal with, but they are busy people. They continued to offer reassurance as we hit road-bumps that frustrated us and in the end we crossed the completion line. It took 5 months to move, a ridiculous amount of time, this is the statistical average for the UK - but we feel our choice in estate agent and solicitor proved right, between them we overcame all obstacles, met the complications of selling and while we met delays and had irritations, we got there in the end.
Thank you for the review and honest feedback Mike. I appreciate your frustrations with our somewhat archaic conveyancing legal process that we battle through daily, combined with the unrealistic pressures of a new build at the top of the small chain which always exasperates the process. We got there in the end, and our motto is to never give up with any sale no matter how simple or complicated it may be. Best wishes for the future in your new home.

GoogleMichael Adey and all the Staff were exceptional when we had a question/query - always replied or rang back very quickly- they liaised between us (sellers), the buyers and both sets of Solicitors seamlessly. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were always treated with respect, no matter our queries. Michael himself never forgot who we were and the property we were selling when we bumped into him outside of his office. We were kept up to date at every stage. Everyone in the office was a delight to deal with. Thank you to all the staff.

GoogleMichael Adey is a true professional. Nothing is too much trouble and his calm, reassuring manner is what is needed when things predictably stall and need a push in the right direction. Mike has the ability to deal with all parties in the same respectful way and he will find out the answer to queries and help the conveyancers when communication has gone a little awry. Initially when the chain collapsed and we lost our buyer, Mike had secured another offer within two hours! This was outstanding and no time was lost with the transactions. I would definitely recommend Mike as your Estate Agent if you want a service that goes over and above the usual standard.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleMike recently helped our family sell our late parents cottage. Throughout the whole process Mike was simply superb.from his initial wonderful photos, videos and drone shots and through every step of the sale. He never failed to go above and beyond in getting the sale completed. Selling our parents house was not an easy thing for our family, but along with his complete professionalism, Mike is also a top bloke, and his kindness and sensitivity was appreciated by all of us. Google5* plus!! Michael Adey and his team are fantastic. They are not like any other estate agents we’ve ever encountered before. We received regular, accurate updates. We were always given advice that we felt was personal and in our best interests. The office team seem very organised and when you call they remember who you are and your circumstances without having to repeatedly explain things. They were very empathetic, supportive and understanding with our situation and tried to help us in all ways they could. Michael Adey was realistic but also CONFIDENT about the price he thought we could achieve for our property sale… and he wasn’t wrong!!
