I rented from fox and son for 5 years and Senior letting branch manager was quick to responses and supporting when needed. Even after tendency ended there was good communication throughout. Senior Letting branch manager would explain and go into detail if needed more understanding. Team was always polite and welcoming when contacted. Never had any issues (Eastbourne fox and sons)

I had been experiencing some practical and emotional difficulties selling my late mother’s house whilst suffering communication difficulties between previous agent and appointed executors. Needed a change and responded to a personalised hand written contact from Katrice causing me to cold call one afternoon. What a breath of fresh air. Katrice immediately took ownership of my predicament, contacted executors, relayed my wishes and took on the sale all within half an hour. Such a weight lifted from then on when I was kept completely in the ‘loop’ of what turned out to be a challenging sale based on building construction and some personalities involved, mine included, to be honest, as I have a intransigent streak. Fox and Sons are very personable, first name terms quickly being established with Katrice and Leah, both of whom understood my issues with the whole scenario. No nonsense, minimum bureaucracy. Job done.

Best experience I’ve ever had!!!

Was the best experience I’ve ever had with an estate agents, Chris there mortgage advisor was incredible he went above and beyond what we could have ever expected and even after we’d payed for his services he was still pulling late days just to help us get everything we needed ready wether it was mortgage related or not he even worked as hard as possible to get us out mortgage rate fixed before they sky rocketed we could not be more grateful even after we had closed and everything was sorted he still helped us with our life insurance as there was a mistake we made while filling it out, Joanne was also a massive help even though we didn’t buy our house through then in the end she would always get right in touch with us as soon as she found a house she thought we’d like and even pulled an extra day or 2 so we could view the houses due to our busy schedules when the time comes to sell we will definitely be going to her

Are you sitting comfortably?… then I’ll begin…‘Twas twenty weeks before Christmas, plenty of time to move house, not a creature was stirring, especially not a Fox and sons Estate Agent !!!If you have been sitting down over the festive season with a glass of mulled wine, contemplating moving house, then take our advice…DO NOT USE FOX & SONS!!The whole branch lacked any form of professionalism, or competency. Lucas never returned our calls, only answering the phone if we dialled on a number he didn’t have registered to us. On one occasion, I stood outside the shop and although I could clearly see him, the girl that answered said he was out.For some reason the shop is always locked and the Keys were not always immediately to hand. We regularly had to visit the branch and insist they chase issues for us. Chasing only happens on a Wednesday apparently…really??? They are quite content to place all the blame on their equally incompetent’ in house’ solicitors DCLaw. After 19 weeks of abysmal service, we took matters into our own hands and dealt with the home owner himself to get the sale over the line. Due to several failures to exchange we had to exchange and complete on the same day. There was no one in the branch that day to deal with any issues and DClaw were uncontactable. Other estate agents from the rest of the chain got involved to try and save the day but in the end all 5 lorries were told to unpack. Yet still no communication from Fox & Sons… disgraceful!

Please avoid this unprofessional office in Hastings. Thought it was weird that my requests was not followed through. Been waiting to speak to a manager for a week. Nothing, called back. It was obvious the fella did not pass on my message. Not responded to emails. When challenged, he was happy to tell me he didnt like me. Think it was the colour of my skin.Update Foxs and sons are questioning my review. Trustpilot want evidence. My complaint was done over the phone. The company did not address my complaint in writing. As i advised trustpilot. Whoever is challenging this has not contacted the branch manager who i spoke to at length and arranged for someone to value my property last week. Perhaps they should do their own checks before they challenge my experience. After this insult. I wont be putting any business their way. Pure cowboys. Minus any stars

Very positive experience with Fox and Sons Crewkerne

We couldn't be happier with the service we have received from Leon Gullis of Fox and Sons Crewkerne over the past week. From the outset of our viewing he was friendly, professional and informative, highlighting features of the property and useful information about the locality and town. He gave us space and time to really look around and we never felt rushed. We made an offer that day and in the subsequent six days, whilst viewings were still ongoing, he kept us in touch with the progress of our offer. After our offer was accepted Leon was extremely helpful with all the initial processes including recommending conveyancing solicitors and offering to arrange a survey and searches. He has been delightful to deal with so far and we've no doubt he will do all he can to ensure our journey to completion goes smoothly. We would have no hesitation in giving Leon 10 out of 10! We would give 11 if we could!

I have recently had the pleasure of dealing with Fox and Sons Peacehaven branch and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would.This is the first time that I have had to sell and buy a home in 20 years. I'm a single mum to 3 children under 10 so time and working to my schedule was so important to me.At the start of the process I felt completely out of my depth and had no idea where to start but they made me feel at ease straight away.The whole team at the branch have just been incredible. The process has been fast, efficient, smooth and professional. I have been kept updated at all times and everyone has been so approachable and nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, even when I took my 3 children on a viewing.The service was so good that I even used their mortgage advisor, Jonathan, and the service provided has been incredible.I would particularly like to thank Tom and Alice for their patience and understanding especially with the amount of questions that I had. They always got back to me quickly with the answers and explained things in terms that I understood.Thank all for the work you have done for me. I am very disappointed in the service that my husband and I received from Fox and Sons Southampton.Firstly we dealt with multiple people when it came to property offers and viewings when we expected to have 1 person handling our property.We were supposed to be dealing with Chloe but then ended up dealing with multiple people which was confusing.Secondly the unprofessionalism with the agents. Emma from the Southampton branch left a voicemail which was meant for a potential buyer to my husbands phone. It did not sound professional at all!There was lack of communication from fox and sons Southampton. We had to keep chasing them to ask them what was going on with the offer that we had received. Only to be told after a few days the person that put the offer in dropped out and chose another property.We took our property off the market and a few days later got a call to say someone has put an offer on our property. We asked if the potential buyer can go any higher and we still have not heard back. It has been 3 DAYS!!!! If someone is so keen (like you said over the phone) to purchase our home, why are we waiting 3 days with no response? You were supposed to make this process smooth and easy and yet this experience has been really horrible and had left us feeling drained, very disappointed and deceived. Fox and sons please remove our details from your system and don’t ever contact us again.

Avoid F&S conveyancing

Do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing firm. I’m not a Fox & Sons customer but our buyer is (as that is their agent) and they’ve held up our chain for months. We agreed a sale in October 2024, it was discovered in January 2025 that our buyer needed an amendment to their lease on their leasehold property before they could sell it (a deed of variation) three months later to today, only now has the Fox & Sons conveyancing firm read the leases properly and determined what they need to do and there is still no end in sight. All in our chain has needlessly been put to extra stamp duty cost, the cost of arranging a new mortgage offer because previous ones have expired, we’ve had houses in the chain being re marketed, causing further stress. Our solicitor told me today that they have three chains including ours that are all stuck and going nowhere due to a deed of variation, and guess what, every one of those chains has the same Fox & Sons conveyancing firm handling the deed of variation. They clearly don’t know what they’re doing and I would suggest unless you want to waste your money on delays, and be stressed beyond belief, do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing. I don’t normally post reviews, if I get bad service, I simply don’t go back. However, on this occasion, I’m getting bad service that is costing me and others in our chain more money, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Fox and Sons weren’t my originally estate agents, but I’m so pleased that I asked them to help me after a run of bad luck with my original agent!The service that I received from Morgan & Annie at the Saltash Branch has been nothing but exemplary.Morgan offers help and advise all the way along the process, that in itself takes a huge pressure off knowing your in such capable hands. I have been informed of updates as and when they’ve arisen, from numerous phone conversations and letters, giving me huge confidence in them.The level of knowledge, professionalism and experience that I’ve seen from Morgan is a true credit to Fox and Sons, Morgan really has gone above and beyond to sell my house, and I really feel like I’ve been made a priority.I can honestly say after such a positive experience I will only ever be using Fox and Sons in the future.Annie has also been a breath of fresh air, she’s incredibly polite, friendly and courteous, and was in a class of her own when she showed my house to prospective buyers. Not great I’m afraid. Things started so well with great enthusiasm, and energy for the first week but that was when the positives end and inexperience shone through. They didn’t know how the right move alerts worked (which seems important when selling a house), we were told incorrect information about our eventual purchasers, there was no drive to move the sale on and most frustratingly they didn’t take any blame and everything was not their fault or “out of their hands”- even when blaming the solicitors they recommend (for a kickback). This may have been a one off (and I hope for others sake it was) but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.
