FacebookI wrote to four estate agents when I decided to sell my property. Ginger replied within 30 minutes on a Saturday evening with a phone call and we arranged to meet on the Monday. It took between 2-5 days for the others to reply and one didn’t reply at all. That was the first impressive step of working with Carl Hemming at Ginger. His eye for detail on the sale documents, follow up, responsiveness and honesty was second to none. My sale went through smoothly despite a couple of potential hiccups but Carl smoothed them out. The fact that Carl is not a national agency but a boutique company means the quality of the service you get is excellent. I would highly recommend Ginger if you want value for money and excellent service.

FacebookGinger were my choice to work with when selling my late Father's house. They were professional from the start, kept in touch regularly regarding the viewings. It was hard dealing with a house sale as well as a loss but they took charge of it all and were professional right until the end and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. I love the brochure they put together and the video really did capture what the property had to offer. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future and 100% recommend them to anyone looking for something a little more special when looking for an Estate agent. Thanks to all the team at Ginger for all your help and support on making that such a stress free sale.

GoogleI had such a bad experience resulting in me pulling out from the sale after spending money. To begin with, the communication was extremely poor and I found myself having to chase for everything every time. I reckon they haven’t got any idea to deal with tricky situations and they avoid taking any responsibility at all. example, They failed to enquire rental income for a property that was fully rented out at first. Only after I chased, I was told that figures shared with me previously were wrong, gave an excuse that the seller doesn’t remember the rental figures and on top of that told me that the purchaser should do their own due diligence on the rents ( for a property which is already rented out ) Moreover, after getting the homebuyers survey completed and sharing the issues, I was told that someone would get back to me. After I chased, I was told that for some strange reason they spoke to the solicitor regarding the issues and not me. Continuously having excuses for any situation and never take responsibility for anything, they have definitely wasted my time, money and effort to say the least.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
I appreciate your frustration, however, reviews under Googles guidelines must be legally factual whereas your statement is not accurate. The property was sold on the basis that the student tenants were moving out very shortly and the property would then be empty for you to do as you wish. The rental figures of the current agreement were shared with you at the early stages as provided by the managing agents showing the figures for clarification and the status of the tenancy. The rental figures had no long-term bearing on the property sale as it was soon to be empty with no continuing agreement with the University. Therefore, It is for a buyer to carry out their own research on local rental values for on-going purposes. You were aware we are not letting agents and not the people to advise on future rental incomes, nor do we deal with student lettings, unlike yourself. Regarding survey, the seller was made aware of your concerns and their response reported back to you as soon as we received their reply to your questions and yes we also updated your solicitor. Regards communication, we have a log of many emails and contact. I do not see this as a tricky situation. We are dependent upon information coming to us to be able to share and you were handed this as soon as we had it to offer. There are no excuses to be made.

GoogleI marketed my house with Ginger after hearing great things about the team locally on social media and by word of mouth. The sign up process was easy and the brochure and particularly the photos were excellent. As a result the house sold on the second viewing after a few days. Brilliant support from Harvey liaising with ( difficult at times) solicitors took a lot of stress away. Unfortunately when my buyers pulled out last minute leaving me high and dry Ginger stepped straight back in, re-marketed the house and I had two offers after two days. Again Harvey ensured a smooth completion and handover in double quick time. Without doubt I would recommend Ginger Estates to anyone selling locally. GoogleOutstanding! 10/10. If you are reading this considering which estate agents to use, I wholeheartedly recommend Ginger Estate agents. They are OUTSTANDING. I have experience in purchasing many properties and I have dealt with multiple estate agents over the years, so I understand this process. Ginger estate agents provide excellent value and the services offered by Ginger Estate agents, I can confidently say in every aspect they strive for, and achieve excellence. From my first search on rightmove, Gingers images and presentation of the property grabbed my attention and immediately sparked my interest, despite their being many (20+) available on the estate - this was the one that stood out. Isn't it nice to see a brochure actually put together nicely with good inviting images - they took the time with this one and it stood out a mile on the listings! Upon my viewing they were safe, attentive, friendly, welcoming and always on hand to take calls for information to help me which proved a major factor in me deciding to buy the property. Their online listing and 3d sizing tool also allowed me to start planning the move and purchase, which is again incredibly useful. Attention to detail is key here and they have that in abundance. Having viewed several other properties in the area with other estate agents - the competitors just went through the motions and were nowhere near as good as Gingers estate agents. I encourage you to choose Gingers as they are a local business who genuinely really care - every staff member I spoke with was exemplary. In a world where kindness is sadly in short supply, gingers good ethics and professionalism shine through and are one of the 'good ones' who deserve this glowing review. GoogleAlan & Jayne asked Ginger to sell our house in mid 2022. We sold within a few weeks but had trouble finding our next house and the chain fell through (no fault of Ginger). This slowed down the whole process and we eventually re-sold and moved in early 2023. Our positive experience with Ginger was in stark contrast with the agent we dealt with on the purchase. They do a proper job of tracking, chasing and managing the progression of the sale. They also use social media effectively and we're happy to touch base on a weekly basis to keep us informed. I didn't have a lot of positive to say about estate agents until this experience. Thoroughly recommended.

FacebookCarl at Ginger just made the whole process of selling my home as easy as it could be. As a first time seller, he cut through all the jargon and explained everything brilliantly. The care and attention he took when writing the description and the level of detail he went to far exceeded anything else I have seen. How the house was presented really made it stand out on Rightmove etc. and ensured a good level of interest with a very quick sale. I couldn’t recommend the team at Ginger Estate Agents enough. Their experience and advice is genuine and you do feel like they are on your side. They made a very stressful experience, not all that stressful!

GoogleThey say moving house is one of the most stressful things you ever do. Well the selling part of moving house was dead easy thanks to having a great agent. We liked and appreciated that Carl gave us a honest valuation form the start. After having other agents trying to massage ego's by giving valuations that were that wildly inflated, we knew they weren't realistic or achievable, made a refreshing change. His honesty and knowledge of the market was even more apparent, by the number of viewings that we received and also by the fact that the final selling price, matched Carl's valuation. Carl's involvement didn't stop once the sale was agreed either, he carried on liaising with both parties and solicitors to make sure the sale completed as smoothly as possible. The only down side to our house move, was that Carl wasn't the agent whom we then went on to purchase our new home from. So if you are looking to sell or let your home, then give Carl at Ginger a call.
