TrustpilotVery unprofessional and rude agents
Very unprofessional and rude agents. They repeatedly called me while I was at work, and when I finally got back to them, they booked a viewing for the next day and told me to meet outside the property at the scheduled time.

TrustpilotDo not use this estate agent
Would not recommend renting through Hunters - no communication, follow up or empathy from anyone here. Day one moved in- Leak all over the living area from a disconnected pipe that hadnβt been checked. Raised floorboards and bloomed worktop- No broadband access- No bins- Vent not fitted correctly in the bathroom(All reported no follow up from Hunters)1 month later - Still no broadband, bins arrive. Had to purchase expensive WiFi dongle in 12 month contract and unable to use electric car charger. - Phone line attachment broken and reported via Opeanreach -Had to chase Hunters for any action to be taken for the wifi for the whole apartment block2 months later- (Some) flats connected to broadband still some flats without wifi - low speed if usable- Our apartment was flooded with sewage water into the bathroom. - Β£150 to replace damaged bathroom goods - Pipes overflowing and all toilet/shower/sinks/washing machine and dishwasher unusable for 3 days- 3 days OFF work to facilitate fixing issues- Front door lock unstable logged 23rd July no follow up- Vent still hanging down in bathroom3 months in- Storage room ripped up from last month and no follow up from blocked pipes. Waiting to be flooded out- Stinks of sewage- No communication in over 3 weeks Do not care about welfare/lack of customer service. Shocking. I never write negative reviews and genuinely give people a bit of slack but this has been the worst I have experienced.

TrustpilotHunters Estate Agent review
Amazing service from start to finish .A special mention to Della who went above and beyond what was expected, Della's communication was fantastic even on her days off she would chase information and update us. Della was instrumental in the completion date and kept the chain together. We'd of been lost without her. Thanks Della. Highly recommend.

Appalling customer service from the stoke office and I'm not even one of their tenants, had the misfortune to be involved with a leak from one of their tenants, it took over 6 months to get to the repair stage which when done was really poor workmanship so I'm having to do it myself, the staff are unhelpful and don't care so if they treat third party tenants like that it must be really bad for their own tenants.

TrustpilotThe sale of our mumβs house by Hunters estate agents
Hunters have just sold my mumβs house and the whole experience from start to finish went so smoothly. James cane and valued the property and he was very kind and professional. Rebecca who handled the sale was brilliant! She was always in communication with my sister and I and kept us informed at every step of the way. She was always quick to answer any queries we had and was very prompt in resolving them. The other staff were also very kind and professional and really supported us in what has been a very emotional journey. Thank you all so much! πβ€οΈ

TrustpilotHunters Northenden branch
Hunters Northenden branch. Louis at Hunters could not have been more helpful. I was renting a retirement property for my father who was moving areas to be nearer us. Louis was very understanding of our needs and our urgency and we had everything sorted within 3 weeks. He was very efficient and answered emails very promptly. We couldn't have had a better experience.

GoogleI found the team at Hunter's Skipton very approachable and efficient. My house sale was made a little less straightforward and they were straight onto it, suggesting alternatives, options and contacts who could help with this. If I emailed they responded very quickly, in every case within a few minutes so whilst at this point in time, I never actually visiting the office, it felt very personal. Their 360 degree virtual tour was very impressive as was the supporting documentation which was invaluable in the current situation and definitely made the difference for my prospective purchasers.
I think that there is a trend for people to use online estate agents but I must say, dealing with a local company in my local area both for estate agency and solicitors has made a real difference to my experience. In addition, their local knowledge has been invaluable when I needed a bit more detail and intervention.
I would highly recommend Hunters if you are currently considering who to use to sell or buy your next property!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Wow..thank you for your comments Claire. It did get a bit messy after the survey but I am really pleased you found that using a local well established agent with 40 years experience in property paid off. Often, selling a property is the easy part. Dealing with surveys, solicitors, chains and contractors is where the full value of a local Agent comes into play.

GoogleWe bought and sold our previous home with Hunters Skipton. They are by some way the best agency weβve experienced. The team headed by Andrew are excellent and always very professional and, importantly, great to work with. We also found their 360 Virtual Reality Viewing Tour to be fabulous, it really does provide a very detailed insight internally. Brilliant agency and highly recommended.

TrustpilotHunters is a joke
I have had experience with Hunters in the past on multiple occasions. I am disappointed everytime from their lack of felixibility. For example if you're trying to rent and your annual income matches but does not excees what is expected by Hunters then they will abruptly cut you off. Also horrible customer service by the staff and do not know what they are doing. On a flat i called twice one staff member told me i had to satisfy an income of 29.000 pounds and another staff member told me i had to exceed 30.000 wich makes me doubt their honesty. I have had much better experiences with other agencies. Do not reccomend.

GoogleDear Andrew and all the team at Hunters. I can't thank you enough for your professionalism during the sale of my house. The fact that you are able to offer a bespoke service that takes account of the circumstances and needs of each of your clients is an absolute credit to you all. You always had words of encouragement and optimism during a difficult year for everyone. Your attitude to customer service is exemplary and deserves 10 stars!

TrustpilotAn unfortunate attitude from Hunters
My boyfriend and I were purchasing a property through Hunters and they were pleasant enough. However, when we received the results of the independent survey two months down the line, it highlighted what we considered to be significant problems with the property, particularly the necessity of a whole new roof, and the replacement of brickwork.Naturally, we had not - and could not have - factored in the cost of these repairs, or the time it would take to carry them out, so we emailed our contact at Hunters in Sunderland, simply outlining the issues that the survey had presented, and attaching the report in full. The reply we received explained βThe seller is not under any obligation to carry out any work or offer a reductionβ. While true, this attitude seemed hostile to us, and rather unprofessional. We did not mention a negotiation of price, or the current owners carrying out the work themselves - although, to be frank, these did not seem unreasonable expectations. We had misgivings about how considerable an undertaking the repairs would be, both financially and physically, but were open to discussing options with Hunters/the sellers. However, we decided to withdraw from the sale, and Huntersβ attitude did play a big part in that. As a prospective buyer, you do not have a choice over which estate agent to deal with, but I would certainly be reticent about purchasing a property sold by Hunters in the future, and would strongly advise sellers to consider the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this page before engaging Hunters, as the wrong estate agent could scupper a sale, as in this case.

GoogleI'd place zero stars if I could for this lousy agency. Sadly rented with them and the property was almost unfurnished when moving in, as opposed to fully-furnished on viewing. And in the contract. Spent weeks being passed around and as it turns out, lied to on what was agreed. It's in the contract! This rental was misery for me and my finances as had to buy furniture. Now I've employed a solicitor to acquire my deposit. I've never been treated so horrendously.
In response to their reply - I don't know why they are saying this. Plus they certainly do let furnished properties. Clearly a lot of fake reviews on

Incorrect Agent. Hello James. I have checked our rental files as I did not recognise your name, and also we do not act as agents for furnished property. I have been unable to trace you as one of our tenants, even going back 6 years. I suspect you have the wrong business here. I would really appreciate it If you would contact me direct at skipton@hunters.com to resolve this and find out which agent this review should be directed at. Under the circumstances please may I ask that you remove this review at your earliest convenience.

TrustpilotVery helpful and patient.
Very helpful, kind and considerate. We have just moved into our new home after lots of ups and downs which started with the Covid lockdown. Without going into detail we had a lot of problems with our respective buyers and sellers. Hunters at Pocklington were so supportive, patient and understanding and were with us at every step. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

TrustpilotHunters Horncastle:
Hunters Horncastle:If you are looking for an EA who keeps you updated and informed then I would NOT use Hunters, if you want the privilege of paying for doing your own work then by all means use this EA, also if you want to feel as though the EA is acting on behalf of the buyer instead of the sellerβ¦ this is the one for you!!! They say the right things to get the initial business and then offer bad advise and never any follow up or conversations about the state of the market during contract period, even when requested. Also emails and WA messages were ignored. Worst Estate Agent Iβve ever used. It seems that Katherine (who did the viewings) and Susan (admin) seem to hold them just above water and do all the donkey work. Just my honest opinion!! Would have given zero rating if possible

Hello Sarah. Thank you for your review. I cannot help but think this is related to a rental property that you perhaps missed out on, or you were disappointed at not being able to register as a tenant? I would really like to hear from you to see why your visit was so shocking, as we are without exception, polite and professional. I appreciate no-one can get it right all of the time, but to give us a 1 star rating and a say you had a 'shocking' experience is very concerning to me.
