Me and my partner rented a flat in Grassington through Belvoir, we found the application process very straightforward and didn’t have to wait too long to find out that we’d been accepted. Unfortunately we only stayed for agreed minimum tenancy because throughout the first nine months of living there we encountered a lot of issues with damp and leaking. In our final few months at the property we found Belvoir to be quite pushy about bringing people around for flat viewings. They pointed out a clause in our tenancy that stated they could conduct viewings in our final month of notice, but considering we were moving out weeks before our tenancy ended we thought it was reasonable to ask them to wait After we moved out it took over four weeks to get our deposit back. We initially contacted our old landlord about this issue and she told us it was Belvoir’s responsibility, but then when we contacted Belvoir they had to confirm everything with our ex landlord so ultimately we don’t know who was at fault. At the end of the day, the majority of the issues we had were with the condition of the flat and our old landlords incompetence. And though this isn’t directly Belvoir’s responsibility, unfortunately it still reflects poorly on them as they’re the ones happily letting the property knowing its condition and the issues previous tenants have had with the landlord. We would like to leave some positive feedback about Cara, who we spoke to regarding an incident with our old landlord. She was very helpful, informative and easy to speak to. We’d also like to thank Kevin, who was very quick to get our deposit released when we informed them of our issue.

We had excellent service from Belvoir Skipton from start to finish when looking for a new rental in an unfamiliar place. We are moving from Hampshire following a huge loss in our family and so nervous about moving. From the first phonecall enquiring about a viewing the friendly and helpful service put us at ease. What a great team they are at Belvoir ! Our first experience of renting could not have been better. Whilst in between homes we needed a short term rental which we came to realise are few and far between but Daniel found us the perfect place. The rest of the team (Cara, Jane, Ros, etc.) then supported our move and have provided excellent customer service. For at least the last 7 years Belvoir have managed a house in Skipton which I let very professionally. In November last year the tenant moved out. Belvoir inspected the house and suggested carrying out various items of items of work. At my request they arranged for these to be done whilst the house was unoccupied. They found a new tenant who moved in as soon as the work was completed. I am very pleased with their service.

Me, my son (aged 13) and my mother (aged 77), we are a family from the long-suffering Ukraine, took advantage of the sponsorship scheme for Ukrainians with the support of the UK Government.
