TrustpilotDishonest, incompetent and terrible attitude
Should you choose this letting agents here are a few things you can expect as routine:1) Lying about the status of properties on the market and deliberately misleading all parties on the status of such properties.2) Arranging appointments to view properties that they don't even turn up to meet you at.3) Cocky, arrogant and sarcastic customer service. They really do not care AT ALL!Literally the worst letting agent you could ever choose to instruct. As you can see from the other reviews, dishonesty, incompetence and terrible staff attitudes are a feature. There is a reason for that. Be warned.

TrustpilotHunters Belmont Circle
Called Hunters Belmont Circle to arrange a valuation of my home. They asked me the reason for wanting to sell and when I told them it was because we're divorcing the representative immediately turned frosty and said they charge for valuations if your selling due to divorce. Imagine you're presented with a very devastating and traumatic life event, and then the pariahs come a hunting to see if they too can make a profit out of someone else's misery. Shameful.

TrustpilotWhy all the complications?
Tried to book a viewing online of a property in South Shields. I received multiple text messages and emails asking me to complete a further questionnaire before they could proceed. This questionnaire then appears to have prompted another questionnaire (with multiple further texts and emails), which looked like it was going to try and book me in for a property valuation of my current home. I decided instead to call and try and book a viewing. The gentleman who answered seemed thoroughly disinterested and told me viewings could only be booked for weekdays, and only during the hours of 9am to 5pm. I explained that I work during those hours (as most people do, I would suspect) and he said, 'Ok then, bye' and terminated the call. Not sure exactly how anyone is supposed to view a property with Hunters.

TrustpilotExtremely bad experience with Unprofessional and Rude people... Preston Road Wembley branch
Preston Road Wembley BranchI regret to say that my experience with your service has been extremely disappointing. The level of unprofessionalism displayed throughout the process was astounding. From misleading information to outright lies, it became clear that your team was not transparent or trustworthy from the start.Unfortunately, after the deal was finalized, your true nature became even more evident. The promises made prior to the transaction were not upheld, and your team showed a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. I would strongly caution anyone against working with your company.Thank you for making this an experience I will never forget, but for all the wrong reasons.

GoogleWe worked with Hunters to sell a house we had inherited which was a 90 mile round journey away. We found them to be professional, friendly and flexible. Because we were not local, Hunters were particularly helpful in checking over the house from time to time and even gave us the final meter readings to save a journey up. Jon Rook was our main contact and we'd like to thank him for going the extra mile to move things along when the sale slowed down. Thank you to the Hunters Team.

GoogleWe found a house we wanted to buy that was on the market with Hunters so thought we would sell our flat with them too. They were great with both our sale and our purchase. Jon and Matt were really helpful from beginning to end and really made our lives a lot easier during the process! They were great at keeping us in the loop with things - especially at the end with exchange and completion. We would highly recommend!

GoogleI Stayed in a flat in Sidcup with hunters for two years. They left me to my own devices and were incredible whenever I needed them for anything. Any problems with the flat ( which were minor issues) were sorted straight away without any fuss. Would recommend to everyone to use them if they’re thinking about renting or buying!

TrustpilotThank you so much to Rob
Thank you so much to Rob, I believe, that’s his name for going the extra mile to get my wristwatch fixed. It had unfortunately come apart whilst they were trying to install a battery. I am eternally grateful as the watch was special to me. They were most apologetic and ensured that everything was done to get the thing up and working. So once again thank you for your excellent customer service.100%

GoogleThis relates to Westwood Property Services, who I believe fall under Hunters at Blackfen/Sidcup. I strongly suggest that you avoid this company. My experience with them was nothing but aggravation. Having rented with them for 2+ years - paying on time and being a good tenant, during which they forced me to suffer through excess property damp - at the end of the tenancy they tried their best to take unwarranted chunks of my deposit, ignoring all logical argument and simply doing what they wished. One example included myself damaging one curtain a little and agreeing for this to be deducted, but this agent, through greed, sought to replace the curtains for all of the windows in that room. Equally, they tried to pin broken things on me that were fully intact and working when I left (as reinforced by the thorough inventory check out) and provided receipts without dates, seeking to deceive. An agent called Pam is the source of this flagrant disregard of reason. You'd do well to avoiding renting with this company and particularly via Pam. Rent elsewhere.

TrustpilotAbsolutely the worst estate agents
Absolutely the worst estate agents , I booked a flat viewing at 4:45pm on Friday evening , I was left a voice message in the morning asking if I couldn’t attend please let them know, I was attending so not necessary, I drove for 50 mins in rush hour traffic and got to the property about 4:47 pm 2 mins late, on the travel over I phoned up the company 4 times leaving messages saying I will be slightly late no answer, when I go to the property the agent wasn’t there , no phone call to my mobile at any point, I knocked on the door and the owners were there very surprised to see me 🤔🤔 I said hi I have a viewing which they replied oh we didn’t know and there has been no agent there today waiting for me, it was very awkward looking around and then I left, the whole situation was a joke how DARE YOU treat potential renters/buyers that way not even turning up and even letting the owners know, waste of my travel time and petrol money , email the agents and they replied back there was someone there but because u was 2 min late they left as there to busy to wait, CROCK of S**t no one was there confirmed bye the owners, I really hope your company goes bust and u all lose your jobs , I should of look at the reviews on here before contacting your agency as there shocking and the worst Iv ever see. For a company Shameful Sharon mcevoy rude lady stay clear

GoogleThe team at Hunters Sidcup took on the tough task of selling our 1 bed flat just before the pandemic started. Before, we were solely listed by Anthony Martin on RightMove/Zoopla for a few months and did not get a single viewing. After Matt came around for a valuation visit, he seemed eager and confident enough for us to switch to Hunters and it was the best decision that we could've made. Interest in the property increased tenfold andHunters kept us constantly updated with viewings and potential buyers. After finding buyers and accepting an offer, the whole team at Hunters went our of their way to keep us updated and reassured that the sale would go through, which we were extremely grateful for due to being under the stress of our wedding and the struggle thay we had finding a place to move to. We cannot recommend using Hunters highly enough and will continue to use them for anything property related moving forward. Special mention to our agent Matt who was a star from start to finish.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

TrustpilotHunters
Hunters- Wallasey branchHunters- Wallasey branch. Horrendous. Absolutely no compassion or care during Covid-19. Even though the landlord is probably taken advantage of his mortgage holidays. Had no working fire alarms since February!!! Don’t reply to emails or answer the phone. DO NOT RENT OFF THESE. House was filthy when we moved in took me 4 days to clean before stuff could be moved in- told them this and they just said rented as seen.

TrustpilotAvoid at all costs. The worst of the worst!
Couldn't have come across worse agents. Took two months to get the house on the market because of continuous delays with contracts, photos and communications. Extremely unresponsive overall, would sometimes have to call for weeks to get an answer or an update. The agents come to house viewings without knowing anything about the house and they lie more than any service provider I've ever dealt with. The absolute bottom of the barrel of estate agents. Avoid at all costs!

TrustpilotIf I could give zero stars or negative
If I could give zero stars or even negative stars, I would. From renting the property, collecting the keys, discussing the lease renewal, to the recent issue with rent payments, it has been a complete disaster. When I first viewed the property, I told the agent at Hunter that my current lease was ending soon and I needed to speed up the process of getting the keys. The agent assured me it would be fine and agreed to hand over the keys on Monday. However, I spent the entire Monday chasing them from morning to evening, even going to their office, but still didn’t get the keys. When I arrived at their office, they told me some documents weren’t signed. I couldn’t believe they only realized this after I had to show up in person. The next day, I contacted them again in the morning, and once again, they weren’t ready. It wasn't until late Tuesday, right before their office closed, that I finally got the keys.A year later, when it was time to renew, Hunter told me the landlord agreed not to raise the rent, and I immediately accepted. They sent over the renewal documents, but before I could sign and return them, they called the next day saying the landlord had changed their mind and wanted to increase the rent by £200. I was shocked. How could they go back on their word? Hunter even insisted that the landlord had the right to do so because there were still two weeks before the lease renewal, otherwise, the landlord could end the tenancy. This felt like bullying, but I had no choice but to agree.Yesterday, I received the payment invoice for the renewal, but the amount listed was still the old rent. Since they issued the invoice, I paid the amount stated. Today, they realized their mistake and sent me an email asking for the remaining balance, even rushing me to pay immediately. I was at work at the time, so I couldn’t make the payment right away. Later, Hunter's agency called me, and instead of being polite, they demanded I pay as soon as possible. I told them I was working and couldn’t pay immediately, and that it was their mistake, not mine. They insisted I pay after work, but I had other commitments. I can’t believe they made the mistake but still had such a rude attitude.I will never use this company again, and I hope they go out of business to avoid further damaging the reputation of service companies in the UK.

TrustpilotPoor customer service
My partner and I are looking to relocate to an area around a 5 hour drive away, we found a property with Hunters and booked a viewing. We loved the property so we asked the agent what to do next and he said email so we can get sent an application form; because we liked the property so much we emailed and called the branch to try and get ahead with our application. No answer from the branch after numerous calls over the period of an hour so we decided to go to the branch instead. After speaking to someone in branch (not part of the lettings team so they couldn't help us) they sent an email over to someone from the lettings department with our profile so they could send us an application form via email. This seems great, two emails, one from us and one internally expressing our interest in the property. However fast forward one week, with nothing from them and more attempts to contact from us, we finally get through to be told that someone that viewed on the same day as us has already completed all the applications and is set to start renting the property. No apologies or anything after explaining the situation and that we'd been trying to get in contact for a week.

TrustpilotThey couldn’t care less
Would even put this into minus stars if I could. The most awful company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Very good in getting you in at first however soon as they have their commission from you they don’t care about you. To start we had to push back as we had agreed a move in date paid for moving van. Kye who was our wonderful (not) estate agent thought it was acceptable to give us a call at 16:00 the day before to say we can’t move in this date. Extractor fan was broke in the property was promised this will be fixed at the start of our tenancy. They decided to send someone to fix this in our last 2 weeks of our agreement. The state of the flat when we moved in was beyond a joke grime on the kitchen top bathroom smelt disgusting was dirty. Carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the flat had been built. Marks all over the walls and blinds. We’re not trying to be overcharged for a cleaning service when the flat was left in 10 times better condition it was left in. Horrible company who don’t care about you after they have their commission. Also abysmal customer service constantly have to chase them for things
