Over the past few years my partner and I have spent a lot of time visiting various different house developments by various different builders with the aim of buying our first and possibly forever home. As first time buyers in our early 20s we found that a number of developers were not taking us seriously and often dismissed us as time wasters... until we found Strata and Charlotte Corah. We completely fell in love with strata homes and after hearing they were going to build in our local area we began to visit numerous show homes each time falling more and more in love with the strata house designs and build quality. We reserved our dream home on 360 with the help of Charlotte who made the process of reserving easy -for the first time we felt we were treated as genuine customers regardless of our age. Charlotte is a very valuable employee of Strata and truly one of the best members of a customer service team I have ever dealt with. To those who are thinking of purchasing at 360 I would not hesitate to recommend strata, and in particular Charlotte, their build quality and customer service really is second to none.

Great customer service by Strata

We are extremely happy with our new home . thank you so much Strata to full filling our wishes .It is our dream home.We been to many builders before coming to Strata,the hospitality and the way we been treated was outstanding.Even after our move whatever we asked the maintenence team (Darren and his workers) were so happy to sort it out in the same day or within couple of days.Jess (customer experience manager)who was looking after us very well.She is a star.we cant thank enough to her she was that much supportive and reassuring us all the time.Strata is lucky to have an employee like Jess.During the build process Jess was there all the time to update about process. After all thanks to strata for well use of technology via VIP Lounge. This is a great service with which we manage to see all the building process and some nice sneak pic by Jess. Thanks to Darren for looking after us after our move to new home. Overall we like Strata and definitly recommend it to friends.

Mark & Wendy From start to finish

From start to completion Tami and then Melissa have been very supportive and helpful through the whole process. Quite a few bits on the snagging list but almost all complete. Excellent work in the bath and shower rooms, plastering could have been smoother all over the house and painting could have been to a higher standard Some areas of sloppy workmanship but these were put on the snagging list - paint on doors, different screws in the kitchen doors both chrome and brass, one stone window is in but when fitting blinds discovered it was out of shape and not level. Complained about the lawn but its still very poor, not joined correctly and different colours of green so must be from different suppliers, not happy but nothing happened hence now having most of it turned into a patio. Site manager Jon has been very helpful and always there to help along with Melissa and previously Tami was fantastic. All in all good build but still in the early stages of living there

Buying another Strata Home!

Buying another Strata Home! Having already bought a Strata home, which I am currently living in, we decided to move to another area and looked at the Attitude site in Castleford where Karen Cole was the Customer Manager. Karen has been fantastic since we started our journey to our second Strata home; so friendly and professional and extremely helpful. She really has changed our lives by endlessly helping and informing us, where nothing is too much effort. Karen, you're a star and can't wait to move into my dream home in the very near future where I know you and the site team will look after us.

Excellent Customer Service and Quality Build

My husband and I have just moved into our Strata home and we could not be happier! Zoe our sales lady, was absolutely brilliant from the moment we stepped into the showroom and is still providing support after move in day. We quite simply could not have made the move without Zoe, she provided an excellent service by being on the ball and making sure she was across all stages of the process from choosing the property to moving in and beyond. She kept the chain moving and kept us up to date at every stage. She helped us get our dream home by providing advice on the right combination of upgrades and property size that suited our budget and lifestyle. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Zoe and she maximised the full buying experience by offering site visits throughout the build process, as and when was safe to do so and was on hand to answer any questions. When we moved in, within a short time on completion day, she sent notification of our occupancy to all the relevant utilities. Zoe was patient and professional at all times, which helped enormously during very stressful periods of the moving process. We also had a home demo by site manager Greg, who spent time showing us how everything worked and talking us through issues we might experience when moving into a new home, such as settlement cracks etc. In addition to this he was all over any minor snagging issues and they have already. His attention to detail is refreshing as is his high standard of build quality. The quality overall is far superior to any of the new home developments we have seen. The experience so far from Strata has been wonderful, from the many email updates advising us on our build stage, the VIP Lounge where we can chart our progress to the outstanding service from Zoe and Greg. We would highly recommend a Strata Home to anyone. A five star review for a five star builder that delivers.

Poor quality and poor aftercare

We was rushed into our property at the end of June last year so they could hit their year end sales, our property wasn’t even finished on the day we was handed our keys; missing splash backs, wardrobes missing, no outside lights, no turf just to name a couple. We also had to clean the house before we moved in as this wasn’t done due to them still working in the property as we was handed the keys. When we was walked around the property by the site manager he couldn’t stress enough that ‘we will find problems’ which is fine as you expect some with a new build but assured us if we get a list together they will rectify them. After this it’s been a complete battle to get anything rectified, our roof leaked and this took a month to rectify due to broken promises. Once we had our outside light fitted (this was on a Friday when myself and my Husband was at work) we got home and this had tripped all of our lights due to a faulty circuit and wasn’t rectified until the following week. Our en-suite toilet leaked twice and both times took over a month to rectify, whilst I was 8 months pregnant. We have had loads of minor snags that aren’t still rectified but we are passed the point of battling as it drains the energy out of you. They also missed our outside tap (apparently doesn’t come standard they tried telling us) but every house on street has one, it’s on our blue prints and when speaking to neighbours they haven’t opted for one and was told comes as standard. Strata finally agreed that they would rectify this and fit our tap in January, it’s now June and still not done after 3 failed attempts of them coming! We love our house but the customer care and standards are so poor which has completely ruined our first time buying a house.

Great home builder

Review for house purchase in Definition estate in Derby. The experience of buying a house through Strata has been mostly great and they have given us a good level of support from the moment of reservation throughout completion and afterwards. A special thanks to Tara Osman who helped guide and advise us through the whole process.As always, I believe there are some ítems that can be futher improved. For us, one apparent issue was the communication (or lack of) between production and sales team regarding our move in date, which went back by a month at the last minute and the production team had not made the sales team aware of this.In terms of the quality of the house, it is mostly really good, with just a few suggestions on our side. Garden Fencing: is designed so that it has gaps which means there is no privacy in the garden and everything can be seen from the street and neighbours. We are having to rework the fence now to be able to get some privacy.Snags: the on-site team have been mostly really supportive and understanding and helped us resolve all of the usual minor snags. However, we have found that we need to insist and chase more than expected to get things done which means extra work and hassle for us.Finally, another improvement suggestion would be to have a wider range of extras being offered. I found that these were fairly limited and ítems such as curtains/blinds and lighting fixtures could have been offered so as to reduce the level of work that is required post move-in.Other than that, we are 8 weeks into our new home and almost a year since we first reserved the house with Strata. Overall, very happy with the support from Strata and would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

Recently purchased my first home at Epitome Strata in Wakefield.As a first time independent buyer, there was a lot I was unsure about when it came to buying a house. From the start, Tami and the team at Epitome Strata were incredibly helpful and responsive when it came to purchasing my home. Not only was the customer service incredible, but the home itself was what really sold me. As soon as I had a look at the Livorno plot, I was blown away by the standard of fittings and finishing in this new build property. After purchasing my home, with a only a few small bumps along the way, I was able to move into my new home within the space of two months from placing my reservation fee. I have also been incredibly impressed with the team's help in ensuring I settled into my home well; dealing with all my snags in a timely manner and to a great standard.I would recommend Strata to almost anyone looking to buy a new build home!

A huge thank you to Strata

A huge thank you let to all of the Strata team that have helped us purchase, move into and get settled in our new home. Admittedly we just came to view the show houses at Belong to see what they were like and then straight away we could really visualise ourselves living here! Esna, Charlotte and the sales office team have been great and very personable. Their customer service is exceptional. Andy the Assistant Site Manager has been a real star throughout, not only with getting our snagging list sorted but also down to the little things like helping my wife carrying in the shopping!

Being part of Definition Strata

Being part of Definition Strata has been an amazing experience.Watching my house being built is a once in a life time opportunity and Jess has been keeping me updated and well informed. What is considered to be one of the most stressful experiences in life has been a walk in the park as I've had Tara and then Jess by my side. Strata have started doing Fika Saturdays which has been a great opportunity to meet people in the same boat as I am in our new community. Overall, a great experience with a lovely, friendly, helpful staff team. I would do it all again and highly recommend Strata.

The buying experience which was handled by Charlotte and Esna has been very smooth and efficient with very few problems, the few we have experienced were dealt with quickly and with minimal fuss. The build quality seems to be excellent with no serious problems. Poor customer care

Poor customer care, nobody is taking responsibility for ANYTHING. Moved in July 2018 - still haven't got street lights 9 months later.The street is an absolute mess after the road has been dug up - this is either side of our drive which we have to reverse out of. Weeks later its the same after chasing.Our downstairs toilet has been blocked twice (no fault of our own).We had been informed (along with the rest of the street) that we would have a fence by the public footpath which now isn't happening as no planning permission can be granted so the one side of this path has been left as a dumping ground with a silver prison fence. There is a video of the site which the house is on and it is nothing like this visual its very far from it.We had to chase to get the landscaping sorted - I think originally we chased in Jan 2019 & this wasn't started until end of March/April. Our house is built behind the showroom so you would expect this landscaping to be done first and move down site but no, this was ignored. You have to constantly chase and chase to get any kind of answer and the ones I do get are not helpful in the slightest. Again with emails you don't seem to get a response and everyone who has complained seems to get the same generic email forwarded on. We had a leak in the kitchen which I am still waiting for this to be plastered and painted.There is a current facebook page for the KUDOS estate and there is nothing but bad and negative comments for the whole site. Bad communication & no responsibility. I would not recommend anybody as a first time buyer like us to buy a strata house.

We are just in the process of purchasing our dream home from Strata. Our main contact has been Marilyn and she has been truly amazing. The intrigue site in Ossett has been one we have been interested in for a number of months. I've spoken at least every week to Marilyn trying to secure a house whilst still trying to sell mine. Marilyn has gone above and beyond what is required of her.Two week ago Marilyn changed development but has still kept in touch, I've since been dealing with Jenny and once again she has provided exceptional customer service. Temptation - Burton-on-Trent

We part exchanged our old house for a new house on the Temptation site in Burton. This is the second new build we have bought, and in terms of information provided and up front support, Strata are clear winners compared to our previous builders.The part exchange process took around 8 weeks from start to finish, with around 3 weeks of that being due to a delay from our mortgage provider - so all in all, pretty speedy! We chose to use our own solicitors, and there were occasions where I felt as if I had slowed the process down or caused some inconvenience by doing this, but ultimately it didn’t affect the overall experience.The sales experience was second to none, Zoe was and is excellent, had no issues with our *many* visits to check out our new house before we moved in or the fact our three year old has a lovely tendency to talk over her every time she tries to tell us something important! In terms of snagging, everything I have raised so far has been dealt with promptly - for example, a slow running tap we flagged 48 hours before we moved in was fixed before we arrived, and a cracked patio door was replaced within a week. Greg the site manager has been excellent in checking in on us, but despite the fact the house has been up for almost a year, there hasn’t been a great deal for us to flag!Overall, no complaints here, and we would definitely recommend the Temptation site to anyone.

Nothing short of amazing

Initially I wasn’t planning on purchasing a house, I was just taking my sister round to different show houses around West Yorkshire but then we stopped at ambition and the great service we received from Kathryn nudged me into moving in my new home now 1 year on. Kathryn has been nothing short of amazing along with Danielle, they continuously kept us updated and pushing for both our houses to be complete as soon as possible given our situation at the time and I can honestly say that myself and my sister are both happy with our new homes. Our experience with Strata and with Jess in particular has been brilliant from the start.I always remember that it was Jess' day off when I was wanting to sort out the reservation for our new home. Jess spent a lot of time talking to me that day and I will always be thankful for that. We bought our first house at Temptation in Burton on Trent. We’ve had nothing but a positive experience with strata. From reserving to completion they’ve been speedy, communicative and helpful! Zoe our customer care manager is lovely and made us feel really comfortable. She talked us through each step of the process and always had time to chat and take an interest in our house/experience.We were kept in the loop through the whole experience and we felt like they were doing this properly but quickly too. Our mortgage advisor provided by strata, Lee was brilliant. He was on hand to help with absolutely anything, it was simple and easy and he really went the extra mile. Every person we’ve dealt with has been lovely! Our builder, Gregg has been on hand since our home demo and definitely knows his stuff. Really friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Would 100% recommend strata to anyone (and have been doing so!) everything is well designed, the house is a joy to live in!

Fantastic experience buying my first home at Kudos, from viewing the show homes and reserving my property (Lille) on my first visit Jenny was an absolute star. Impressive from the start. Thank you to Zoe for bringing everything together in order for us to live in our dream home.Service excellent. House excellent. Quality of fixtures excellent. Amount of space in the property is excellent. Storage availability is excellent. Quality of products used (appliances, doors, windows and fixtures) genuinely excellent. Great team on mortgage side. Attention to detail on finishing is excellent. We would strongly recommend Strata to anyone investing in a home. Struggling to put into words how elated we are with everything. This is the second house we've ever purchased brand new (from plan) and our experience on this occasion has exceeded all expectations. We had to look very hard to find the smallest of snags as everything was finished so well with attention. Instead of being let down with lower quality fixings/products (as happened in our previous home) our expectations have been exceeded again with quality sinks, taps, handles, windows, extractor fans, etc etc etc. Zoe, thanks, Melanie and Chelsea thanks, Dan and Nik thanks, thanks head office for top level service. Strata - Definition

This is my first home and at first I was apprehensive about buying a new build. However, from the first day of stepping into Strata’s offices and following a recommendation from a family member who has already purchased a property with them, I have not been disappointed. Although the house is not yet fully complete, I could not fault Strata for how they’ve handled the process - informative, proactive and great customer care. A massive thank you to Tara who has been an absolute star, always keeping me up to date with build progress and checking in to make sure all is okay. From looking at the brochure to choosing interior furnishings, Tara has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with and a real credit to Strata! Let’s hope I am just as pleased with the final product when it’s complete.

Highly recommended

After having a very bad experience with another new build company (Kier) we walked into the strata office at the Destiny site and straight away Julie made us feel welcome. Not only did she make us feel welcome but she restored our faith in humanity and helped us out with advice & information when we were in a very difficult situation. The whole buying process from start to finish has been so much easier than we’ve ever experienced before, a lot less stressful and a lot more enjoyable. Julie has been there for every phonecall and visit and helped us out with the million +1 questions we’ve had. Out of all of the new build sales offices we have been in (a lot) with other companies Julie has by far been the most helpful, polite and informative person we have come across and we are delighted to be buying a house with her and the strata team. Hopefully everything runs just as smoothly with the exchange of contracts and then we can start getting (more) excited to move into our beautiful new family home. Thank you very much to Julie and everyone at strata! I would definitely recommend.
