Abysmal

Shocking from start to still not finished!Was rushed into our home months early - had we not have part exchanged we would have refused to move in.Snag list was unbelievably long. No fire door, wrong window bay for the style of home, wonky walls, wrong size bath, wrong room sizes, tiles not fitted, shower head not fitted, lights missing, too small garden etc - I’d be here all day if I were to list everything.So far we have spent thousands trying to get this right. Over a month of days off work for nobody to turn up or works to still be wrong. Moved in October 2018 and finally got the directors involved in January 2020 due to getting fed up.Solicitors have been refused contact, independent surveyor has had to be hired etc. Beautiful style homes but aftercare and cost cutting is at another level.I would never buy a home from Harron again. Had they just put everything right we would have been happy.Abysmal

Manor Farm - 1 Talbot RowI would advise that if anyone decides to purchase a house from Harron Homes that they expect their home to have a myriad of faults. To get them rectified you will have to virtually harass them daily, otherwise they will not act to resolve your issues. They talk about their “Quality system” and the number of checks they have on each home. My experience is that this system does not exist, as each time you contact them you will have to remind them; they appear to have no system to respond to the issues with their poorly finished homes.After 2 years of chasing faults I’m currently seeking legal advice to legally force them to complete the issues with my home. I hate having to do this as I have a very busy life and really don’t have the time. However having shared my issues with a number of the senior management in December, I have not received any response to resolve my issues. They clearly do not care.

Far from luxury

Do not buy one of these homes. The finish on ours is terrible. We are on the sandlands park site at hucknall. We have damp on the outside of our brickwork. They say it is guttering but a builder has told us it's the damp tray leaking. We've had two showers leak through the ceiling. The bedroom below is freshly decorated and although they have sorted the leak they are refusing to pay for the damaged caused. We've had pages and pages of snagging items some of them are just horrendous. I would not recommend buying a property from them.

We have just reserved our first new build house and I must say that I was very impressed with Jane Jubb, she was ever so friendly and welcoming. She catered to our requirements and let us make decisions without us being rushed into committing. She was very open and frank with us which is very important. Both me and my husband would recommend our family and friends to see Jane Jubb as she is definitely amazing and knows the ins and out of the industry. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Harron Homes Brierley Heath

We reserved our future home in October and from looking at other show homes to now, our journey with Harron Homes has been nothing but enjoyable. All the staff we have encountered have been helpful and friendly. At Brierley we have been in regular contact with the sales executive on the progress. Our latest appointment was to go and meet the site manager, who spoke to us about the progress of our home then walked us around our home checking all the electrics were in the correct place before plaster, also any other issues or thoughts could be raised. This for us was a massively important feature so that any easy adjustments could be made. Aidy & Joel are the site managers who took us for the tour were brilliant, any queries that were made on the day were answered via email by the end of that day. Karen & Julie who are the sales executives are always welcoming and really do go the extra mile for you! Strongly recommend purchasing a home from this development. The houses appear to be a real good standard compared to other companies we viewed before reserving with Harron. Really looking forward to the final stage of moving into our new home!

Recently moved in to our beautiful new build property I have had a present experiance from start to finish with Harron homes I’ve just bought on the rosendale gardens site and dealt with so very professional lovely friend staff member Jo the sales representative has been amazing help me out with everything I have needed prior to moving in and the site manager lee he has also been totally brilliant with all my needs once moving in to the property Would highly recommend buying from Harron to anyone that is thinking of doing so

Avoid!!!! Avoid!!!!

I purchased my house in August 2017 from Harron Homes. In 3 and a half years we still do not have any roads completed on our estate. The customer service is worse than appalling. I am sick of being ignored and fobbed off. To think they advertise their houses as luxury homes is a joke. If you are looking at a new house, I'd look elsewhere! I only wish I was able to give them zero star's.

Harron Homes at York Vale in Howden, East Yorkshire.

Visited the Harron Homes York Vale development in Howden today and toured the two lovely show homes. The homes were outstanding in quality and design....I could have happily moved into either of them!! I noted the high quality of the kitchen units and appliances, the modern design of the home itself and what struck me particularly was the amount of storage space available.......so often missing in modern homes. The bathrooms were beautiful with baths and showers and tiled throughout. Both homes felt spacious and in proportion. The gardens were landscaped and just the right size for relaxing in.The sales executive was well informed about the town and was both helpful and very pleasant.So pleased I took the time to visit.

Amberwood Chase Dewsbury

We bought a new build at Amberwood Chase Dewsbury last week. We were met by Jane on our first visit and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. She wasn’t a typical “sales person” at all. She was friendly and approachable. We were really impressed at the quality of the show homes we visited. They were of a different class compared to other new builds we had viewed. Jane talked us through the properties available, and answered all of our questions. We came away to think about it and wasn’t once pushed by Jane into a sale. On our second visit we made a purchase and couldn’t be happier. Jane helped us at a further appointment to make our choices for kitchen, bathroom etc. We were really impressed at the range of options available to us and the high quality of even the standard items. We can’t wait to move into our new house and are grateful to Jane for all her help.

We cannot praise Julie and Debbie enough. They were both exceptionally helpful, liasing with solicitors and estate agents, to get us into our new home after it had dragged on for months.They were helpful and friendly from start to finish and called round after we moved in to check evertyhing was ok.In terms of the house, some problems were picked up by the sales team when they inspected the property before we finalised dates and these were sorted before we moved in. Upon getting the keys we had a couple of issues however, Simon, the site manager had people on site to rectify within a matter of hours. Knowing people who have bought new build houses before I expected a list of snagging problems however we have far fewer than I thought and all relatively minor problems. Some have already been sorted and the rest I expect will be done shortly. I hope that the service we have recevied so far continues post the initial moving in period to resolve any issues should they arise as we settle into the house.

Hockley Croft - Langthorpe

After having a few less than ideal experiences with home builders previously we couldn't fault the service we received from Jessica and Michelle at Hockley Croft. They were honest, organised and friendly, we got regular updates on the status of our home and were able to schedule our move easily because of this.The sales team in this industry can really make or break a house sale for a customer and Jess and Michelles approach was by far the best we have experienced.On top of this we have a lovely house and the team on site have been extremely helpful too, dropping off at least 2 skips and removing them (all without request) for our packing rubbish!

Well moved into my new harron home a…

Well moved into my new harron home a week ago and have to say it was so stressful but julie was there to help every step of the way.She kept in contact with me the full day..When i came to collect my keys my solicitor had not sent the funds so julie straight away made contact with their solicitor and tried her best push them.. which started to get the wheels rolling..She stayed later to do this and has always done that little extra..She puts a personal touch on buying a house.I have bought 3 new builds in the past and by far julie has been the best sales person i have had.. and she has great customer service.If you buy a house at their selby housing site ask for julie she has my personal recommendation.Thank you julie, your a credit to harron homes.And i love my new house which i would not have bought had you not have used tour excellent sales skills.

I actually do not know where to start…

I actually do not know where to start with this review. If you are looking at Crich to buy a beautiful home in a stunning area, I’m afraid you will only get the stunning area and not the dream home you thought you were buying. I have done nothing but chase this company to get my 160 snags completed, and it’s been 5 months now and now they just don’t bother replying. Everyone you speak to on the street are in the same position. I’ve used numerous holidays to wait in for work to be completed, and been signed off with stress with the whole process. I’ve had flooring ripped up, no hot water, breach of building regulations, oven not built in, missing safety device on my boiler to just name a few. Due to my persistence, and not allowing us to spend over £300k for our dream home and be treated this way, I have now got this down to the last two snags but one is a roof replacement over our bay window which I cannot get resolved. I’m just ignored every day and they have now started the next phase of building so there is no hope for those left in phase 1. All I can say is, the houses are beautiful to look at, in a fantastic area but you will be very disappointed with what you are left with after they receive your money as you will have to fight to even get a painter in for cosmetic work, never mind the serious snags. Think hard before signing on that dotted line. If I could turn back time and know what I know now, I would of bought from a different builder. If you can handle daily stress as well as the usual new home stress then take the risk. It does seem that all bad reviews on here have been removed by Harron homes.

Fab experience buying house

Fabulous experience buying our first ever new build. Our old house was valued and we decided to part exchange our house. This was a great idea as we got more money off our house and got a discount as the same house but different plot was being sold cheaper. When we moved in, we had a few problems but it was all fixed within a week. All around this was a great experience. Paul and lorett have been absolutely fantastic.

Looking Good at Amberwood Chase

So far so good at Amberwood chase. Since Jane has taken over on the sales side we have spoken on a regular basis. She’s very easy to talk to and very informative. Being from the commercial trade I employ over 130 people nationwide, my men design and build so i know exactly what to look for and what to expect with a new build. We have not met the site manager as of yet but you can see how quickly the build has progressed following our last visit. The site itself seems organised and it appears the site manager is doing a good job with his teams to be on top of the tight schedule for the pre Christmas movers like us. Looking forward to our Demo on the 6th. We Will post another review once we are in after Christmas !!!! Erika and Carl

Great Purchase Experience with Harron Homes

Just completed everything for a great property in Amberwood Chase, Dewsbury. What a fantastic experience. The whole team on site from the site manager and his hard working team to the guys in the sales office to the wonderful Jane & Steph in the Show home. Brilliant customer service all round!All have been super responsive, helpful, courteous and committed in landing the completion within a tough time frame but they have all delivered! Weekly emails with progress updates, phone calls to check everything OK and visits to site being a really pleasant experience.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Harron Homes or the team in Dewsbury!
