Special thanks to Chris for showing us around and giving us loads of information. My father said, “that’s how you sell a property”! Jill Gowland was great getting us over the line with the offer and kept us well informed and prompt with the documentation. We also dealt with Chloe when setting up the viewings and she was also really good. I think the whole Chester le Street team are exceptional.

GoogleVery disappointing response from the Manager when attempting to obtain a valuation to rent out property, After another very helpful member of staff had arranged for a valuation to be done the manager decided to cancel this and look for comparables instead quoting prices from 2 years ago. Bad attitude and service sadly this is what gives estate agents a bad reputation.

We are sorry that you feel this way, although we don't believe the comments fairly reflect the considerable time our lettings team has spent responding to the concerns you have raised regarding a neighbouring property.
Each concern brought to our attention has been considered and, where appropriate, discussed with the tenants. The property has also been inspected by our Lettings Manager and we have continued to respond to the matters raised.
As a managing agent, we take our responsibilities to landlords, tenants and neighbouring residents seriously. Equally, we have to act fairly and proportionately, and there are limits to the action a letting agent or landlord can reasonably take in relation to everyday neighbour matters where there is no evidence of a tenancy breach or statutory nuisance.
We will, of course, continue to investigate any genuine concerns raised with us and take appropriate action where necessary.

GoogleCannot praise this team enough - from start to finish they were marvellous: kind, polite, engaged, patient, on-the-ball and obviously kept one another informed. No matter who you spoke with at the Chester-le-Street branch, they knew our current circumstances. Their advise was also invaluable in preparing the house, showing it to prospective buyers and with the sale.
Would like to make specific reference to the after-sales team. When signing up to JW Wood I hadn't understood the value of this service - I do now! When solicitors weren't communicating, Jenny kept both sides of the sale informed and because she was able to speak with all the solicitors, as well as the buyer/ seller, she could gauge whether there was anything to worry about. Her experience also meant she could tell us what was 'normal' - when you sell your home after a couple of decades, that's helpful. She called reguarly to keep us updated. She was my go to person with any queries because I knew I'd get a speedy, polite and well informed response.
This service was worth every penny.
