GoogleLucie, Sarah and the team were fantastic from day 1. Lucie went above and beyond for us and was in touch most days towards the end, and really helped get the sale to completion. If it wasn't for Lucie and the teams persistant work and chasing of solicitors, I don't think we'd have moved! It was a difficult purchase, but they were all amazing and really pressed the vendor company - thank you all of you for helping us sell and buy our new family home.

GoogleWe had a really rough time finding our new home, but the staff at Thomas James Cotgrave were with us every step of the way. We sold our house in October 2020, added up moving in with family the following March and viewed so many houses (mostly with Thomas james) never finding the one that felt right. We were worried people would think we weren't serious buyers, but the Thomas james staff (Angela, Sarah and Leilah most notably) understood that we were searching for the right fit. They let us know when new properties became available and ensured we got viewings. And they listened to us when we described what we were looking for. They were so supportive throughout and they shared so much in our joy when we found the right property this May and went in with our winning bid. And their support continued right the way through to handing us our key's. If I was to sell in the future they would be my go to agent, I honestly cannot adult them. Thankyou so much.

I want to give a special shout out to Jasmine our sales progressor. She was the driving force that got our sale and purchase over the line and did all the leg work and chasing for us, providing loads of updates and input where needed - this in itself was invaluable and saved me so much time and extra stress. If you want a professional and friendly service by people who will look after you from start to end then look no further.

FacebookThomas James proved to be an excellent choice of estate agents to market my late father's sheltered flat in Sherwood. They provided first-rate advice and managed the chain effectively, even assisting further down the chain when a major delay seemed to be on the cards with planning permission potentially required (they established that the buyer did not need full planning permission, only a letter of approval from the council allowing a garage to be converted into a bedroom). Many thanks to Jack and Annaliese for their expert advice and impressively professional service. We highly recommend Thomas James.

FacebookI'm still feeling like they were not honest with my questions and after buying the house and ended up noticing that I was right. The asking price was too much and they kept telling me that it was fair. Also the house had several hidden issues so I believe that I estate agency should sell houses with a fair price.

Throughout the purchase, you employed a team of experts, including conveyancers and surveyors, who acted on your behalf. They will have ensured that questions and queries were answered satisfactorily, and that the property was being sold to you at a fair price for the market at the time. Our role as an estate agent is to offer a property to the market at a price suitable to market conditions, and to achieve the best price we can for our vendor. The price offered by an interested party is decided by that party, and not by an agent. Our industry guidelines, rightly so, insist on transparency, and we pride ourselves on acting within those guidelines. It is not in our interests to “hide” issues. Despite your comments, we very much hope that you are enjoying your home.

FacebookI am trying to sell my house and buy through them. Their communication skills are abysmal - I have been waiting over 3 months to complete my purchase and they seem unable to give a reason why there is a delay. This whole thing has been going on since July 2019. I have just been told by Jasmine that she is busy too. Does she not realise that my commission will pay her salary?? Don’t touch them with a 100ft bargepole. They are unable to complete a simple transaction.

FacebookAnnaleise from the Nottingham Office valued my property late one Friday afternoon. By the following Tuesday my property had its first viewing and on the Wednesday I accepted an offer. Less then six weeks later the sale was complete She kept me informed every step of the way. I never had to call her and follow anything up. She was always one step ahead. Her customer service skill are amazing and she’s an asset to Thomas James. The only bad thing about the whole process is that I’m really going to miss talking with Annaleise. Without you I truly believe it would still be on the market. Thank you again for all your help. xx

I would recommend Thomas James to anyone wishing to sell their house, wherever it is, but if that house is in Ruddington, then the choice is a no brainer. They know the village inside out.
