Hume & Co Estates Rotherham reviews

This is by far the worst estate agent I have ever had the displeasure of renting through. We rented with them for eighteen months and although we had problems with the bannister, problems with a leaking roof, damp and problems with a cracked window frame they did not answer a single email asking them to deal with the problems (we have an endless stream of emails that we sent about these problems). On top of that, the house was not in a clean state when we moved in, there was crayon on the carpet in the back bedroom and part of it was worn away (see below, but apparently it is their policy to repair any damage from previous tenants, this policy was not implemented in this case). We cleaned the carpet with a carpet cleaner and it went several shades lighter. As a final insult when moving our washing machine we tore a 3 inch rip in the vinyl flooring of the kitchen. This was caused because the flooring was not fitted properly in the first place and they charged us £150 from our bond to replace the entire vinyl flooring in the kitchen (this was their policy, apparently...). Strangely enough, as soon as they wanted their £150, they answered emails in no time at all! Avoid at all costs. I would have given them zero stars, but Google reviews will not allow it.

Great estate agent and I would recommend them. I have worked with the team since 2017, and have only good things to say about them all.

We rented through them 1 year and 9 months and I want to tell you that this for me was a great experience. Responding fast to my requests and dealing with me in both in a friendly and very professional way, as my time was limited because of my job's requests. Thank you.
