Hume & Co Estate Agents are by far hands down , one of the best , if not the best estate agents, I’ve ever dealt with , rent very reasonable, customer service top class , not only did I have a roof over my head for the past 14 years , but their property became my home. Always on hand to offer support when needed, very professional, very friendly , very efficient and prompt in communicating with me , repairs on the property Carried out quickly. I could not ask for anything more from these guys , they’ve been absolutely superb , made me feel like family. I will miss residing in one of their properties , thank you from the bottom of my heart.

After we had moved in, we did run into some difficulties which Hume and co dealt with it promptly. The staff are very friendly and easy to speak to with any enquiries you may have. Very courteous from first viewing to final inspection. All the staff I dealt with were very helpful especially Britney. I rented for 12 months and only left due to personal circumstances. Whole experience was uneventful and comfortable,my deposit was refunded in full.

Fantastic company to deal with from start to finish. Originally I called up to arrange a viewing, got a viewing within a few hours, secured the property within a day, and was given the keys and moved in within a week. Support and aftercare has been fantastic too. Any maintenance work I've needed has been dealt with super fast and efficiently with genuine attention. They really don't mess around. Rarely would I leave a one star review, but on this occassion, the complete shortfall in customer service or courtesy shown today by one 'Britany', left a lasting impression of very low professionalism. It's not really the missed appointment after an hour's drive, or the curious misunderstanding & quoting of process when we called to express disatisfaction. The review is moreover about the complete disinterest in either negotiating another time to view or even offering something that resembled an apology. Miscommunication can occur, but a reticence shown towards delivering a solution is not helpful to anyone. This review is intended only to describe a personal experience when searching for a rental property with this agent. However, having previously let property & from the perspective of a landlord, I would have been very disappointed if this was the way in which prospective tenants were treated by the agents we employed.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this estate agent. They were unprofessional throughout the process, with poor communication, lack of organization, and a dismissive attitude toward concerns. It was clear that customer service is not a priority for them. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

Applied for a property and was very flexible regarding things such as my pet not staying if it was an issue. Emailed and called a couple times to call about the paperwork for the property as i wanted to let it straight away following the pictures and videos online; to be told abruptly that i was on a 2nd waiting list (which i believe to be down to my honest mentioning of owning a rabbit) even though i was one of the first to contact, and would get notified if no one was interested. Baffled that when someone wanted to sign away straight away, why you'd put them on a waiting list and basically tell them no in an inpolite manner. The woman i spoke with was not helpful, very disorganised and based on the experience, i wouldn't recommend letting with them for the true reflection of what would be to come should you let a property with them. I have had similar issues when they wanted money they responded. I moved in and issues happened there, they didn't know who my electric was with they messed up the meter number. When I original spoke to them they said ill be moving into 14 not 15, 15 being the house i moved into. 6 months later damp everywhere!! they didn't sort it they didn't sort the extractor fan. blamed me for a leak that happened down stairs. the people who came to look around my house for the leak couldn't see anything in my house and charged me!! said it was my washing machine that they checked twice and the leak was on the opposite side. I had cleaned my shower but the tiles had damp so i didn't touch that to show them what mess they are charging me for and they took it out my deposit. They don't work weekends so I had no water for a weekend. I was vulnerable. I was Ill. I am only young. They are by far the worst people I have come across. My carpet wasn't new when I moved in there was little pulls not too bad, and as i moved out there was tears and pulls I was there for a good 1yr and half they charged me for a full new carpet!!! If they are having money off of you as a landlord they are robbing you as they are robbing us tenants!! If i had the knowledge and the mind strength which I lacked then, I would have taken them to court.
