HAVING TO REPOST AS HARRON GOT MY OTHER ONE REMOVED I could write an essay on the experience we've had with Harron and how upsetting its been but the most important thing to me now, is that you read this and understand that the bad reviews you read below are all true. I read the reviews and decided to ignore them, that was my mistake. One that has cost me thousands of pounds. Please don't ignore them and the advise to stay clear of Harron homes. Find yourself another new build company. The positive reviews you read that have been added recently are from people that have only just put down a deposit. That have been incentivised to write a review, so Harron can bring their rating up and hide the bad reviews. These are not a reflection on the experience you will actually have with this company. Please walk away!

Our great experience with Harron so far :-)

We’ve recently reserved a property on the Harron Thoresby Vale estate in Edwinstowe and we are so excited! The service we have received so far has been fantastic! Michelle the sales manager there really knows her site and is always so friendly and helpful. Mary the other sales person there is really helpful and friendly too. Today we had a ‘meet the manager’ meeting where we had the opportunity to get high vis and hard hats on and go down to the plot to meet Nial and Simon the site manager and deputy. What a wonderful experience! Again both the guys were so friendly and welcoming. Our experience with Harron so far has been second to none and we can’t wait for the next stages.

Delighted with our forever home

We are over the moon with our new forever home, Harron have been excellent throughout the entire process. We moved in on time as promised, had regular build updates and site visits.Sales have been great, very helpful at every step, and I have been very demanding. The site manager has been very accommodating to my very picky husband (a builder). Our snag list is very minimal, our move day was very smooth I cannot recommend Harron Homes enough, every part of the team have gone above and beyond throughout our move.If you are thinking of buying a Harron Home, do it you will not be disappointed.

**UPDATE: Harron's response to my review provides false assurance - the Yorkshire customer care are not liaising with me to find a resolution as indicated below. He truth is that Harron have not responded to me for months. Nothing has been resolved. We still have a kitchen floor that was pulled up by their contractors due to their fault and then abandoned pre-covid and a bog garden for which we were promised drainage, among other issues** Two and a half years in and we still have numerous issues, all of which were identified well within the two year builders warranty period, including our kitchen floor being taken up over a year ago because it is not level. Harron have completely ignored us since the flooring company fed back that Harron's request that they correct around the door cosmetically with self-levelling compound would not meet their standards as it would disguise rather than address the underlying issue. We were also promised drainage to our garden as water pours through the sleepers from the plots since built above, but despite a sizable hi-vis entourage eventually attending to assess many months ago in response to video evidence of the flooding, Harron simply do not follow through on their promises. Harron initially asserted that they do not accept professional snagging lists because "they know every little thing to look for". After much ado they did concede they can't actually ignore legitimate snags on the basis they were identified by a professional, yet much of our long list remains unaddressed.The sparse communication we have received is typically rude and abrupt, almost always telling us the person who was dealing with us has left, that X problem is the fault of Y subcontractor; certainly never apologetic, accountable or constructive. It is hopeless!

Absolute set of crooks

Absolute set of crooks, no interest in after sales care. Happy to sell you a house and promise the world but never deliver. We have been in over 2 years now with some issues that haven't even been looked at yet. No doubt they will blame covid (like all their other reviews). I don't know how they get away with it. Their marketing department is completely diesengaged with the poor operational running of the business. They are stating to get coverage in the press now and even in parliament. Hopefully they've got what's coming to them.

Horrendous experience all round

Horrendous experience all round. Despite emailing over a list of snagging issues since December 2020 I’ve had nothing done on the house. In this time, I’ve sent nearly 100 emails and have never had any clear communication to suggest when these works will be done. All the residents on the High banks development are constantly being fobbed off to the point where we have gone to the local news and our councillors I have Repeatedly told Harron homes that our new born child is due in the coming weeks and that all H&S / fire safety items that have not been completed need doing and these concerns have fallen on deaf ears. It’s so upsetting and mentally exhausting trying to get anything done with Harron homes and friends/family who have purchased through other housing developers do not seem to have this experience. Our road has not been re surfaced despite works starting on the site nearly five years ago so it still looks like a building site. This is our first home and what should be an enjoyable and exciting experience has been extremely stressful and frustrating.

Queensbury Gardens

Queensbury Gardens, After buying our new home in 2017 we are still in desperate need of dangerous work to be completed. The customer service team go through employees like there is no tomorrow, so when you eventually get a call back they don't know what you are talking about or the company is that ignorant that they hope you will just go away. If anyone is thinking of buying a house from Harron Homes I would only do so as a last resort and get a professional company in to do the snagging. How this company hasn't been on Watch Dog or Rogue Traders I do not know.

Worst company / shambles

Worst company I have ever been involved with. The house I bought from this company is falling to bits. The NHBC did a report saying work needed to be completed by the 6/8/21 and it’s still not been done. Nobody replies to emails or telephone call. The company is a shambles. Don’t buy any from them. The show houses look nice but you don’t get anything like that. The development was finished over a year ago and we still do not even have tarmac on the roads.

Great experience so far

We moved into a Windsor at The Grange just 2 weeks ago and absolutely love the site and the house!Jo and Julie are excellent with their support both during and now after completion.We do have quite a few snags, but that is always to be expected with a new house. So far, Steve and Todd (site manager and deputy manager) have also been amazing at making a start on rectifying these. It will take some time for them to organise the right trades to be able to do this, but I have confidence in their approach, given that some items are already crossed off the list.Will update in a few months, good or bad, hopefully good!

Oaklands Heath

We have been looking at purchasing a property now for around 1.5 years and we have now finally purchased a Harron Homes property at Far Grange Meadows. We first went to look at Oaklands Health in Huddersfield as this is where i am from and currently live. We visited many different developers in the area but was so impressed with Jacquie that it then made us fall in love with Harron Homes brand.We have travelled to look at Harron Homes show homes across 5/6 different locations and nobody we have spent time with, is as accommodating, experienced and friendly as Jacquie. We have visited with our children on  several occasions at different sites including Oaklands Heath and again, nobody has been as accommodating as Jacquie- nothing is ever a problem and she even takes the time to get to know our children which puts us at ease. She is simply amazing!! Not taking anything away from any of the other sales executive but Jacquie stands out massively and is an absolute credit to Harron Homes.
