Cant say a bad word about this company and team. Brilliant service, they’re attentive and honest and worked so quickly to get our house sold and our new one bought as fast as possible in a 12 week turn around. They were always on the end of the phone when we needed to speak to someone and when wanting to view a property they were always so quick to get us an appointment to view like the next day. They have a fantastic fixed price system which we found very helpful to know what the costs would be in advance and they were extremely upfront about the costs and they were at a good price point too! Very efficient and polite at all times. I would highly recommend and will be using them again in future!

Absolutely not recommended

Husband signed a sale contract with this agency on the 9th of January. Initially he wanted to try to sell at 180k. We were aiming to make a move to a new town in Summer. The agent suggested to put it at 185k. The property was put on sale quickly and marketed on Zoopla and Rightmove. Pictures were taken and edited to such an extent they felt fake - we still decided to trust them. They posted the listings without blurring pictures of our daughter and featured the kitchen as the first photography on the listing instead of the living room, and bedroom 3 wasn't displayed. They blurred the pictures rapidly but we were already disappointed.

Called to arrange a viewing of a property. Each time I call they told me someone will give you a call back soon. Called on 3 seprate days until one time they called back. They clearely did not want me to rent the property, they said the only available viewing is on Saturday 8:45!!! Then did not let me rent becuase my income is around £1000 pound less that the requirement and did not want to listen to the explanation that I can afford this property. Edit: At no point prior to this review they said that the proeprty is not available to students. Indeed its ajdacent to a campus in a students area. I also explained that I am employed full time but I am working for 3 days a week at the moment which means my full income should meet the critria. The first person I talked to on the phone listened to this and understood it but the 'letting manager' who handles applications for this property did not listen. I want to add that I offered 6 months rent in advance which the landlord would have probably preferred but they did not pass that to the landlord to see if they would like it or not.

I have had the pleasure of using Mathew Thomas Residential to sell our house and cannot express how professional and honest they are! The house was sold within a couple of days and a pretty smooth transaction although (through no fault of MTR) completion was very close to the wire but Holly stayed late (above and beyond!!) to make sure all solicitors were pushing the money through the chain for us to complete on the agreed day!! Holly visited the property and gave a very accurate valuation, took some fabulous photographs and did a lovely write up of our home. Communication was spot on from arranging the viewings to giving follow up feedback. In the end we only had 3 viewings as it sold quite quickly.
