Be careful where you buy a house as the estate is on a hill, from the plans we were shown it looked like our garden was nice and private and didn’t have many houses looking over it and we had a nice bit of greenery next to us. As it turns out the greenery is a big hill and there’s a house at the top of it directly facing over our garden so it’s the total opposite what I wanted in terms of privacy and not once did anyone mention this until we saw it for ourselves. There was a fence blocking anyone from walking up the hill which made things a little better as it meant people couldn’t look down into our garden but they said it was temporary and denied our request to keep it there so took it down. I have emailed customer care a few times with this issue and other issues and I have found their responses to be rude and unhelpful. With all this I do have to credit the site manager we had at the time called Neil, he was really helpful with all our snags however I think he has left now. If we didn’t have the issue of a massive house on a hill facing into our garden and back doors I would give them a higher rating, it’s just a shame no one told us when selling us the house

We’ve been in 18 months and still have issues outstanding with this builder. This is our first home and our experience has been completely ruined by Bellway homes, plenty of issues reported and majority rectified after constantly chasing up customer care and the site team and trades (seeing as customer care isn’t capable of making basic communication with us) we’ve had issues right from the boiler on the first weekend of moving in to the brickwork and them pretty much rebuilding half the house whilst we are still living in it, of which resulted in us having
scaffolding up twice. Reported the side door which requires replacing over 5 months ago and it’s still not been replaced! At no point has Bellway homes apologised for any inconvenience/ distress caused to us! My advice is to avoid!
