I have rented one bed flat which is immediate back side of there office in Richmond road, st Margate. I was in a rush and running after one week to move. The lady Katy is just amazing I should say. Highly professional with kind heart behaviour. At the same time David is such a gentleman having a well supportive team. They managed the whole move in process within just five days. So far I reached them for any kind of issues got sorted out smoothly. Highly recommend them.

David did an amazing job selling my flat ! I 100% recommend him as TBH selling a flat can be really tricky, he navigated the sale and it's "Difficult" bits like a true pro!! He managed to negotiate me a higher than expected sale price and I'm so grateful for his work! Also it felt throughout I was in safe hands, which is REALLY important! Thanks David! Alex :) IF you are selling a house or flat I can't recommend enough!!

When are you going to refund the deposit? Your staff told us that the deposit should be refunded last month. Never trust this company! Everyone should totally avoid this company. Update: David is so rude, you asked us to stop emailing you. We have to post here to get your response. You charged us almost £700 cleaning service fee to 1 little bedroom flat. Come on, you and landlord sharply increase rental rates and required to renovate the old bathroom when we were living there, you caused most problems. We rather donate £700 to charities and won’t pay even 1 penny to you! Please stop making up stories, just refund our deposit, we don’t even want to see your name again…

Michael · 9 June 2024

Agent replied · 23 October 2024

You left the flat so dirty that the cleaners refused to even try to clean the carpet. We had to get a specialist company. We have claimed both cleans from you and refunded the balance. We have the inventory and checkout reports as evidence if needed for the DPS. The landlord and us have always treated you well so seeing your reviews is just... disappointing shall we say.

Terrible company! Charged almost £700 cleaning services for 1 bed flat. When we moved into this old and broken flat, there was no professional cleaning service. We were happy to pay reasonable cleaning service for 1 bed flat. Now, we won’t accept the unreasonable charge. Landlord now must share the cleaning service cost because the old and broken 1 bed flat with cheap and dirty carpet never been professionally cleaned before we moved in. You can check your report and stop making up stories here.

Michael · 24 May 2024

Agent replied · 23 October 2024

This is utter nonsense. The flat was left in a filthy state. The cleaners refused to go near the carpet. We tried a specialist and they managed to clean it well. The lamdpord had been good to you and you trashed the place.

I have used David and his team for many years now to re-let my property and keep me abreast of the market. I have been delighted with the tenants he has put forward and the professional and honest way he conducts his business. I hIghly recommend him and his team to any landlords looking for an excellent fair priced Lettings Agent .

David and his team have helped for several years now finding me tenants and always carried out an outstanding job, but this last project has been exceptional. The likely tenant viewed my property on a Friday and wanted to move in on the Monday !!! The Tenant Finder team pulled out all the stops from the background checks, cleaners, electrician, gas safe certificate, inventory to check in service. Unbelievable , absolutely brilliant ….can’t thank you enough.

One could just say that I've simply been very lucky with the quality of tenants I've had over the last few years... I would put it down to the professionalism and due diligence shown by David McGeachie at Tenant Finder. His responsive service and attention to detail, seldom seen in larger lettings agencies, has been first class and has taken the hassle and strain out of sourcing the right tenant. I would strongly recommend that he is your go-to guy for your next letting or rental, the results speak for themselves - but make sure you have your Scottish phrase book to hand ;)

Do not touch this man or his company with a barge pole: examples of his unprofessional behaviour include: no video or up to date floorplan on the advert; false photograph of a room; repeated requests to take down advert upon change of letting agent were ignored; offering a reduced rent to a prospective tenant without first consulting the Landlords and worst of all, sending offensive, libellous and defamatory emails to the Landlords.

Grania · 17 April 2022

Agent replied · 23 October 2024

Grania you forgot to mention that I found you a tenant you were and are delighted with, so much so you gave me a run home as I had rushed there in a cab to do the viewing! You then were embarrassed and angry afterwards only because another agency owned by a relative of yours were beaten by me to the tenant. This is all pretty evil and untrue stuff including lies and hearsay. The facts are that I found you a tenant you were delighted with, just like the last one I found you - which is why you employed me again this time! It's a shame you felt the need to write all of this when we are still communicating about it. I have also just invited you to have a face to face meeting about it. The net result of your using me was a tenancy you are thrilled with, paying a very good rent and signed via my (quoting an an email from you) 'excellent tenancy agreement.' ps for the record: I did have a video and was sending it to people when asked but thought it best to get them to view in person if possible; I used an old floorplan you had told me to use, false photo? , I took down the ad for the flat immediately so this is a pure lie; I did no such thing as offer reduced rent; I simply replied robustly when you sent me emails such as your message above, with no offensive language whatsoever. You have never told me what outcome you seek as you have suffered no loss whatsoever and are on record as thrilled with my work - so I don't know what I could now do or say to make you happy. My offer to meet and discuss remains open.

I was advised to look at a property which was way above my budget (ironic having read the last review and response). Having seen it and liked it, I then made an offer within my price range and as discussed prior to seeing the property. I was told it was too low. Conn did manage to negotiate for both parties with an agreed amount. As I was very keen on the property I decided to pay the full deposit and rent in advance. Once this happened then that was pretty much it, I was left in the lurch - no more phone calls, no contract - nothing! I spoke to the landlord who is very good , but she did not realise I have a very young daughter. One of the things I specified to Tenant Finder was that it had to accommodate for my 5yr old autistic daughter. This was not relayed onto the landlord and when there was a problem there was no response from Tenant Finder. They already took my money and I would have had nowhere to live. Fortunately I was able to talk to my landlord who was very reasonable about the whole situation with me. I was extremely disappointed and felt let down by Tenant Finder for just dropping me once I had given them several thousand pounds of my money! I still have not heard from them or seen ANY paper work from them. Would be interested in hearing a response!

Kratong · 26 October 2015

Agent replied · 23 October 2024

Just replying to some old reviews. This lady didn't realise that we did not manage that property. We were paid to find the tenant only, then all contact is via the landlord. We don't contact tenants at let-only properties. And why would we show someone a property they couldn't afford? Paperwork? The lady would not have been allowed to move in without that. so... no idea what all this was about really.

Complete time wasters. First question asked by the estate agent : how much do you earn to be able to afford property. Secondly Conn, 'the general manager', never returns calls nor replies to emails. This is an example of a typical estate agent taking advantage of landlords and tenants by doing as little possible for as much fee possible. Update : What is there more to say. I guess the customer is never right. The agencies reply is incorrect and just meant for damage control. Please be cautious when dealing with this agency.

Ramon · 12 December 2014

Agent replied · 9 December 2024

Yes we do mention the minimum earnings required when people call. Otherwise we would spend a lot of time at viewings with people, who couldn't afford the properties. Almost all applicants understand this.

I was looking to move to an area close to a school which I wanted for my daughter. I only had few days left before the school registration close when I met David from Tenant finder. He was a God sent, he managed to complete the checks and secure the tenancy in time even working through the bank Holidays. I find him very professional and efficient. Highly recommend 👌

Another example of how rude this man is can be seen from his cringing response to my wife's review. Strange he has to rely on his clients for a lift. Perhaps he's lost his licence. He is not to be recommended, he twists the truth and operates on the basis that the client is always wrong with his bullish, boorish attitude.

Paul · 17 April 2022

Agent replied · 23 October 2024

Paul how can it be rude to answer your criticism of me!? I've no idea what you or Grania want from me as you have never stated that, so I don't know what response would please you. But your mention of the car ride perhaps informs readers of more than you meant it to. Once more I remind them that 1. I found you a tenant you are very happy with. 2. You were very happy as soon as I had taken his deposit and remained so. 3. You are not out of pocket or due any money from me. 4. you have suffered no lose of any kind. 5. You turned and became angry when you found that another agency part-owned by a relative, had also been called by the sister of the applicant and that sadly for them I got the prospective tenant in first and beat them to the deal. You apparently think that morally I should pay them some of my fee... which is just ridiculous and wrong and not at all how any business works, never mind this kind of business. As already stated, I have written offering to meet you and Grania, with any witness you want to bring, in any venue you choose, at any time day or evening, to try and resolve this, but have had no reply. I remain happy that I supplied a great tenant to you and did a good job for you. Therefore I think your mutual, extremely negative and angry reviews are completely out of proportion to any issue you may have with me and are unfairly cruel and damaging to a small local business of 16 years standing. I have complained to Google that your complaint is at least partly due to involvement with a competitor agency, which is against their review rules. Finally, remember the reason you used me this time - that you had used me before and were so delighted that you came back. Best wishes David

David was the most helpful and proactive person of all the letting agents I contacted looking for a house to rent, and he found me the perfect place pretty much straight away. Some agents - more than a week after I contacted them - still haven't even been bothered to get back to me.

David and his team were incredibly helpful in finding a property for us to rent in the exact location required. Worst experience of an estate agent ever! Would avoid at all costs if I had to do it again. David (the owner) is extremely rude and talks to you like you are far below him all the time. Beware if you move in half way through a month they will still charge you for a full months rent! Avoid at all costs

Raman · 17 April 2017

Agent replied · 23 October 2024

We charge a full month's rent whatever time of the month you move in! Maybe trying to explaining that made me sound exasperated.
