Summary: this is unequivocally a 5 star review/rating for Hamptons Richmond, specifically for their Sales Consultant, Rory Clarke. For context, I was looking to buy a 3 bedroom property in or around Richmond for our family of four (two young kids). I’d suffered a plethora of ‘ghost’ listings and wasted time from other agencies during my search, who then bombarded me with random properties in which I had no interest. Then came along Hamptons, Richmond, a breath of fresh air. The whole experience was completely professional. Rory attended the viewing, and personally supported me throughout the whole buying process. Rory was exceptionally responsive to emails and calls, as well as SMS when the occasion arose. It wasn’t a straightforward sale due to a shorthold tenancy that still had a few months to run, but again Rory (with support from Mathew Gilbert) managed to keep me aligned with the seller through to exchange of contracts. I don't think there are enough stars to say how happy we were with this. Having had our time wasted by other offices, we could not have had a more different experience with Hamptons. They were incredible professional, kind and efficient. Damian and Sheila were just brilliant. Moreover, they try and put the right people in the right properties! I cannot recommend Hamptons Richmond highly enough. Not only did Sheila work tirelessly to secure a wonderful new home for our family at incredible short notice - she also rented our old flat in record time and ensured a totally smooth transition (which I was particularly grateful for whilst starting a new job and settling our baby into nursery). In 2024 Feb we are given another Property Manager named Patryk Lehmann. Patryk is very organised amid handling 90 properties. Patryk is very organised, detail-minded, prompt and just to landlords. Smooth check out

I was associated with Hamptons for more than a year for my previous tenancy. In this period I needed help quite some time, and I must say Hamptons were very professional. Special mention to Gemma Ward, who was managing this property. She was prompt in sending supports whenever issues were highlighted and tried to make my stay comfortable. Even the check out was smooth and tenant friendly. I stayed for more than a year but as there were no break clauses mentioned in the contract, I had to pay 8% of the total rent remaining, which I found a little too much. Even after repeated requests and also upon getting the new tenant very easily they couldn't let go of that. That was quite harsh, as they were receiving the same charge from two tenants for the same time period. But otherwise it was a smooth stay and very well managed.

Rented for 18 months from Hamptons, they were rarely involved but upon checkout suggested several times I use their £300 cleaning service which I refused.(as if their cleaners are the only ones who can clean...and a 1 bed flat too!)

Feedback for Max Barnes

There was an issue with the hot water immersion heater. I emailed Max Barnes at Hamptoms. He responded very quickly, organised for a plumber to come to the flat almost immediately to have the issue checked out. He made sure to follow up with the plumber the same day, and when he found out that it was an electrical issue - organized with the electrician to come and have this fixed in few days. He made sure to get information about mine and the landlord's availability, to organise this. Very grateful to Max - for getting this sorted so expediently for me.
