TrustpilotScam artists - Took our holding deposit, ignored us, left us without a place to live, lied to us and didn’t refund deposit.
Chestertons told us the landlord had accepted our offer and that we should pay a holding deposit. Then ignored us for days, only to contact us to say that the landlord had decided to go with a lower and worse offer, because Chestertons hadn’t done their job. They then lied to us that they had contacted the landlord (Chestertons had initially said they couldn’t do their job properly because they couldn’t get hold of the landlord) and they didn’t want to negotiate, and decided to go with an offer lower than ours. No landlord on earth would ever accept worse terms and less money. Chesterton staff will take your money then lie to you, will waste your time and leave you at risk of becoming homeless. They clearly are of no benefit to landlords either if they don’t communicate properly or pass on money paid to them by tenants/prospective tenants. If this is how they do lettings, I can only imagine how they mess the lives and waste money of those buying property (where the stakes and values are much higher) with them. Avoid these scam artists.

My wife and I were looking to rent a 2 bed and came across a beautiful listing by Chestertons. It fit our budget and our overall expectations. We had Lauren Christy from the Chestertons team who supported us through the entire process and was super quick and responsive to any of our queries. Glad we had someone like her to guide us through the entire process. I would surely recommend Chestertons to anyone looking out for a property.

GoogleWe have worked with Chestertons Kew recently on the specification and marketing of some new flats in Kew Village. What a refreshingly civilised experience - nothing was too much trouble and we found their advice to be perfect for the target audience. In particular Daniel Killick Branch Director and Zachary Scott were essential to our success and as a result our client has been able to achieve record sale prices for Kew Village. We are looking forward to working with these guys again.

GoogleHaving worked with Paul Hammond from the Chesterton's Kew office over the last 4 months on the purchase of a commercial property, I couldn't be more delighted with the help, advice and support from them in buying the property. Paul has a great mix of professional efficiency to keep pushing things along but never hassled or pressured decisions and genuinely made me feel very secure and confident the entire way. GoogleI work as a property developer and recently sold two projects via Chestertons Kew Branch. I worked with Daniel, Paul and the team who were extremely professional, tenacious & always kept me updated as things progressed. It's imperative for me to work with a team that are action orientated, dedicated to my cause and deliver on their promises and this is exactly what they did. I'm not the easiest of clients to work for as I'm detailed orientated and set high goals and have high expectations and on all accounts Chestertons Kew delivered. With Laura (Office Manager) keeping the team in check and paperwork coming out when needed, they were great. Would I work with them again? ...... Yes, without a doubt. Would I recommend them..... Yes, if you want a professional team, who know their local market extremely well and deliver sales. They're a great asset to Chestertons and to the area of Kew.

I have rented with Chestertons and I wouldn't do it again nor recommend it to anyone. The post renting process/ client support is close torture, with lengthy times, lack of reply, and no solutions - e.g., our house pipes were broken for the full 1st month of renting, and we needed to call Chestertons every day until we had a solution for the problem because no one there was able to solve it. This happened with other aspects of the tenancy.The organization is super bureaucratic and not flexible, we tried to change tenants - a common process, amending the contract - at the end of the 1st year of tenancy, and Chestertons refused to amend, allow for sublet or any solution, justifying it with "this is not our process". Additionally also refused to do a short-term agreement, because, and I quote - "our minimum is 6 months" - even though it fitted both the tenants' and landlord's needs.I study with 500 other people and never heard about an experience that was so bad with a renting agency

Was not told there was a primary school right next to my studio, and there's screaming non stop from 9am-4pm Mondays to Fridays. Been trying to talk to my agent about it, but he's ignored me for the past two weeks. Great service. Still not sure how to get this sorted.Edit: I was liasing with Cosmo, and he finally responded after two weeks, saying there's nothing he can do because he does not manage the property. He also said that the only way I can leave is if I pay the rent up until the break clause.

My experience with Akikur, was excellent and professional, it was a seamless experience as a first time landlords, Akikur provided absolute confidence from start to finish while maintaining efficient communication between ourselves, the service has been incredibly smooth, Akikur viewed my flat before the renovation was finished and brought prospective tenants round the following weekend. They were all referenced and ready to move in as soon as the flat was ready only 3 weeks later so no need for marketing on this occasion, very impressed.
