Good customer service - snagging issues get resolved

Bought an Avant property straight off plan at City Fields, Wakefield. Been in my home coming up to 20 months now. Couple of snagging issues as to be expected with a new build, largely around the bi-fold doors (which are a great feature to the home but weren’t installed correctly) It took 3 separate occasions to sort but I’ve found the customer service team to be very responsive, in particular Shelby who is attentive and has always arranged for the appropriate work to be done .You hear a lot of horror stories about new build homes across all the developers but I honestly think some people’s expectations are far too unrealistic. All in all love my home.

Shelton Village Experience

Myself and my partner just bought a new build at Shelton Village and have had an overall positive experience so far! The sales experience was great, we dealt with Rob who was really amazing at keeping us up to date and helping with any queries we had.The house overall has not had any major issues/snags, and snags can only be expected for a man made house! We did feel like when we moved in a few things were missed that we raised in the home demo so they could get us in quicker, however both the site manager and Zara the customer rep have been really quick to get any snags we have raised so far sorted. Still a few things to do and some chasing required, but we have only been in a few weeks. Everyone I have dealt with has been really lovely.

Fantastic customer service

My husband and I recently visited Sarah at Greenlock Place to discuss what properties were available to us and to view their show home. Sarah was great at explaining all the options to available to us, and advise us of realistic timescales. I currently have pregnancy brain and she definitely took the time to make sure I understood everything!! (Patience of a saint - thank you)When we left our meeting I knew we wanted to proceed with buying a house with Avant, and Sarah made us genuinely excited to do so.

Summerville, Vicki, Stockton Avant Homes

Me and my partner just reserved our home in stockton (summerville). We booked an appointment for the early afternoon but unfortunately due to work commitments we were late, however Vicki who waited an extra 45 minutes for us to arrive which was nice as we were desperate to view the property, she was very polite and informative when it came to the property and explained in detail the process, the plans, when the work would be finished, explained if there was any issues to let her know, reassured us if any problems who to contact regarding if any issues were found or if we were not happy, so far a very welcoming and informative process for what for a lot of people when buying their first home can be a daunting time in buying their first home

A big part thank you to Lewis who showed us around the Greenlock Place show homes in Leeds. He gave us a really nice warm welcome and provided us with all the information we needed to know about this location. He showed us around a few different options and did an amazing job at letting us know our options and what future plans were up and coming for this development. What could have been a potentially overwhelming experience turned into a lovely experience and we left feeling excited and at ease (and less overwhelmed)! Great job Lewis!

What an absolute shower of a company

What an absolute shower of a company, our new house was flooded due to avants shoddy contractors putting a wrong part on the mains water - then they've left us 7 months without rectifying. Customer service ignore you, liaison officers complete muppets that talk the talk but carry no clout at all. Do not buy from these cowboys - seriously!!!! Looking like Christmas in a shack as they're still not helping us, only been in 18 months and 7 of those spent living like a refugee because avant just ignore. Please take note people

Great Sales experience but poor after care

Unfortunately our experience with customer care following moving in has overshadowed the excellent service provided by Louise in Sales at Radford's Meadows, along with site managers Mark, Steve, Brett and Matt. They are genuinely lovely people who have gone above and beyond to help us settle into our home, and resolve what issues they can.However, we have reported over 20 snags since moving in. Every single one has gone beyond the 30 days to be resolved stipulated by the NHQB with no explanation. We still have around 10 snags to resolve which are also beyond 30 days. I have made a complaint to Avant on 18/09/24 due to lack of communication from customer care, unresolved snags, and the ongoing stress and impact this has had on myself and my family, and have had a pathway to resolution (also outside the time frame stated on the website) but no full response to this, with no explanation as to why. Despite it stating on the Avant website I should've have had a full response and resolution within 30 days.

Great Customer Service from Jaqueline and the team at Jackton Green!

My wife and I recently visited the Avant Homes development in Jackton Green to view one of the showhomes there. The staff were fantastic with us, very patient, and allowed us to view the home multiple times. They explained the options available to us, which was a big factor in our decision to proceed with buying the home. Jacqueline was brilliant, and had us both in stitches laughing. Very Happy at Fitzwilliam Grange

After a chance 'drive-by' viewing in September at the Fitzwilliam Grange site, I have had great service from Lynsey and Lucy from sales, all the way to completion 5 months later. There were some complications along the way but they and the 2 site Managers, Steve and Ashley, were helpful and seemed to have genuine care for me as a customer. New team of efficient staff

This review relates to the complaints department, and in particular Matthew, Caroline and Laura. We love our house and having bought a new build before we knew that you get issues and snags within the first couple of years. While Avant were still on site they were fairly good at sorting out little bits, but once they left it was rare to see them about. I had raised an issue a while ago and heard nothing so logged a complaint, and within 24 hours Matthew had got back to me and booked a site visit for the same week with Laura and Caroline. The ladies have been this afternoon and they were very helpful, Laura sorted a couple of minor bits while she was here and Caroline made detailed notes about our concerns. I have every confidence that they will remedy our issues and have been really pleased with how our complaint has been dealt with. Thank you.I would add that we have lived in our Avant home for nearly two years and we absolutely love it. The layout is fantastic for a young family and we have not been plagued with issues like others have reported.

Customer Care Home Visit

Today, I was visited by Caroline and Laura. I have been dealing with Caroline for the last few months and she has been fantastic in pushing to get the snag list completed on our property. It was such a breath of fresh air to have a face to face visit from the customer care team today and Laura was able to complete a few jobs whilst here, going above and beyond to make sure that I was happy and that what she did was to a very high standard. I can’t express enough what a difference it makes to have a home visit, so thank you. We had a few very minor snags that were rectified quickly and efficiently, nothing was too much trouble and the communication from them was (and still is) excellent. Laura is excellent at her job at Avant Homes. Her workmanship is of top quality and no job is too small. Laura is lovely, kind, easy to get along with whilst still being professional. Laura will do anything to help. She has completed numerous snagging issues for us and over the last 12 months and she has really changed my perception of Avant. Caroline at customer services has also been amazing. She has been out to our house with Laura on a couple of occasions and she works so hard to get any issues sorted as soon as possible. So delighted that we choose to visit Jackton Green

So delighted that we decided to visit the site and reserve our plot back in October. We had the best support throughout and that continues now that we are in. The process was made easy and everyone at Avant that we have met and spoke to have been amazing! Special mention to Jacqueline who has been fantastic. Always at the other end of the phone giving support and taking away any worries we had. It’s great that we can still see her on site for a while longer! We moved in days before Christmas, with the team doing everything to get us into our new home. The finish of the home is great and finished to a high standard. We have been booked in to go over any snagging, which is minimal. The development itself is lovely and already meeting new neighbours. We are extremely happy with our Avant home and would highly recommend Jackton Green.

Brompton Mews Purchase

We have recently purchased and moved into our potential forever home with Avant at Brompton Mews. After having a new build in the past with a different company, I was skeptical, but I had no reason to be.Right from the very beginning, our sales advisor Peter has been fantastic and still is. He goes above and beyond to assist in every aspect of our house buying journey from last minute changes to general concerns and enquires. No task seems to phase him and we are always greeted with a smile. I left the review for a short period after moving in to my new property to assess the standard of the aftercare, due to other reviews. I can say that even after the sale we are having a positive experience with Avant and hopefully it continues whilst we finalise our minor snags from an overall well built property.
