A Breath of Fresh Air

Jackson-Stops went above and beyond my expectations and were a breath of fresh air in this highly competitive business. Mandy in the Cranbrook office was an absolute joy to deal with extremely professional, honest and the most helpful agent I have dealt with over a long period of searching for a new home. Sadly the house we are now trying to purchase is on with another agent who are far below par! I would not hesitate in selling a property through Jackson-Stops in the future. Just wish all estate agents were as pleasurable to deal with!!

Would have been nice to actually view the property!

We sat outside the property for 40 minutes waiting for the agent to show up, which she never did. When we finally got through to the office on the phone the agent who was meant to be showing us the property simply told us she had forgotten about us, with no apology offered - just a 'Can we do it another time, I can't leave the office now anyway.' A complete disregard for our time! Wholly unprofessional, and we aren't surprised that the landlords have been struggling to rent the property if the agent can't actually be bothered to turn up to viewings! We will be avoiding Jackson-Stops like the plague - and would advise any landlords to think twice before using their services!

What a bunch of unprofessional individuals.......cheated out of a purchase by being bamboozled with a £10 thousand pound non refundable fee to open an " offer".....which according to one director was "normal" and Richard Addington as "never had any before....."....AVOID THIS FRANCHISE AT ALL COSTS....

Poor Leadership = Poor results

Philip Ribon in the Bridport office is extremely difficult and unpleasant to deal with and we reccomend you use any other estate agency than this one. He writes rude emails when he hasn't followed things up, blames the client and is ineffective in selling houses.

Through what was a fairly tough market they managed to achieve a great price for our property far exceeding the valuation provided by other local agents that we enquired with. Throughout the process the team were extremely professional and easily approachable and we feel they put their full effort into selling our property. We were continuously updated about potential buyers and their position, and even provided with metrics about the online viewing rate and activity related to our property. Pushy and rude

Apart from being 45 minutes late (they had forgotten about me) to a viewing I had arranged the day before. The follow up phonecall from a lady was awful. She was so pushy and arsey in trying to get me to make an offer, and was really rude when I wouldn’t give her personal details she was asking for. She kept saying she was old fashioned and thinks certain things should be done in a certain way, but if you ask me she should be saying she’s out of date. Complete lack of customer service. I was still keeping the house as an option if we changed our minds, however I have binned the brochure and will definitely not be making an offer thanks to this woman completely putting me off. It just confirmed even further that anything to do with this house is just hassle!

The big move!

This was my first time moving out from home so it was a momentous occasion for all involved. Our estate agent, Jon Sowton, was excellent and made sure everything ran smoothly and has kept in regular contact since to make sure we are ok. When I decided to sell my house in May 2017 I was always going to use Crow Watkin in Reigate but they had just closed down and Jackson-Stops were taking over their office. But my disappointment was short lived as Pip and Tim at Jackson-Stops were professional, efficient, responsive, proactive and an absolute pleasure to deal with. They monitored my sale to the nth degree and even chased my very slow solicitors and on occasion together we even managed to bypass them to speed up the whole process. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of selling to contact them. They gave a very realistic valuation and although I didn't achieve the original asking price they judged that my buyer was sound and the whole process was made so much less stressful knowing that they were on my side and were committed to a successful sale. On top of all that they are just very nice guys! Heartfelt thanks.

Unprofessional Conduct

This is a complaint with a solid foundation. My partner and I wasted over a week negotiating to rent a property and the Associate Director with whom we were dealing with, never once returned our calls or called back when he said he would.We spent over 6 hours travelling to and from where we live to do viewings and on the final viewing we even took my step - daughter and step son to show them this is where we are going to live!The Associate Director told us on our final call with him he would call us back by the end of the day (Friday 10thFebruary or Monday morning 13th Feb) When we didn't hear from him, my partner called the office and was told, he is out of the office for a week on holiday! So he had no intention of calling back, this is so unporfessional and for this reason it is indivduals like this, that get estate agents a bad name!
