Insanely bad agency AVOID at all costs. When me and my partner viewed the property the lady maddie showing us around made all sorts of promises. There were holes in the doors and damage all over the carpets, stupidly we decided to proceed with the LET as she explained that the landlord was planning to replace the doors and carpets before we moved in, this was never done. Throughout the time we lived there the property had many issues with mould, burst pipes, shower loosing all pressure etc. when we raised the issues to leaders more often than not we were told the landlord is not prepared to fix it due to costs or we were regularly ignored. Whenever we would phoned the branch they would always say “ your property manager is on another call she will call you right back. She never did… it got to the point where we were phoning three times a week for months on end with no reply. When we emailed we would also almost always get ignored, they wouldn’t even bother to replying to emails as seen below. We eventually had to give up and move out as the mould was seriously effecting our health only upon us given notice they decided on starting to fix the issues. The mould issue was seriously effecting the structure of the property making it weak to the core, and now leaders are trying to charge us to fix it, I cannot wait until they try and take us to court and we present our evidence against them

We recently had the pleasure of dealing with Megan who was responsible for finding new tenants for our property, which was remarketed at the beginning of December. Megan kept us up-to-date with all viewings and moved fast to secure the new tenants once they made an offer. I had a few questions with regard to the No-Deposit-Scheme and she didn't hesitate in calling me to go through it in detail. Been with Leaders for nearly a year, mixed experience, but the last few months have been poor. Reported a mould issue around six months ago. It took repeated chasing before anyone came out, but to their credit, once the work started it was done properly. The problem is what's happened since. The scaffolding from that job is still up, months later, meaning I haven't been able to park on my own driveway. I've raised tickets through their tenant portal and sent multiple follow-up emails. No response to any of them. I finally called today and was told my account manager is on holiday, the builders are on holiday, and nobody is covering her accounts in the meantime. The agent I spoke to couldn't explain why the portal tickets or emails had gone unanswered for weeks. It's not the original issue that's the problem, things break, repairs take time, that's fair enough. It's the complete lack of communication and the fact that a managed tenancy apparently has no cover when one person is away. If you're considering Leaders to manage your property or your tenancy, I'd think carefully about what happens when something goes wrong and your point of contact is unavailable.
