I have recently brought a property through Miles and Barr and overall my experience with them was brilliant. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was due to a lack of communication at the very beginning. Once the progressor Louise took over our sale, I really had nothing to complain about. People know how stressful buying a house can be but with Louise only a phone call away the stress was eased. She communicated with me regularly and no question was a silly question. I really appreciate all her help and advice she provided us with.

I have just completed on my lovely new home in Ramsgate, with a seaview, thanks largely to the quick thinking of Chelsea at Miles & Barr. I had seen the house on Rightmove before but it had been snapped up already. I was viewing another property with Chelsea and happened to mention the house, she said that the house may come back on the market and fitted me in for a quick dash round (after we spent about 15 minutes trying to unlock the door). The outcome was that I got my dream house! Then came the nightmare solicitor charade, but Suzanne at M&B helped through the whole process, always at the end of the phone and a delight to deal with. Thanks to all at Miles & Barr and I would happily recommend them to any house hunters out there. Good luck.

We unfortunately didn’t use Miles and Barr to sell our home, but had the pleasure of purchasing our next home through them.Throughout our experience of moving home, they demonstrated how the process should be handled, unlike our agents selling our home.In our opinion they went above and beyond. With a team, very well led by Hollie-Anna, we received weekly phone calls, giving us regular updates on what we needed to do and what we were waiting on from other parties involved.They were always on the other end of the phone, willing to speak and explain various processes and always more than willing to assist in anyway they could.

Was told I was the first person to enquire about a home. It was our dream home and we were desperate to move; wanted to move quickly on it. Was told they would send me a form to fill out. Waited a few hours for the form but didn't arrive in my inbox. Called back to check on the form and was told the property had already been given to someone else. Awful practise. Have since been trying to call them to organise other viewings and rarely get an answer from reception. Shocking business, no idea why they have such a monopoly.

Overall the experience was OK, I wasn't as well informed about progress as I would have liked but I understand the pressures agents are working under given the current pandemic. I also found there to be some confusion with updates with some professors saying one thing and then my solicitor or other progressor saying another. Louise daly I must say was brilliant and although not my sales progressor, have me updates when I asked for them in the absence of Becky White.

I have recently placed my property on the market with Miles and Barr and I cannot emphasise how easy and stress free the whole process has been. I have dealt with 4 or 5 members of staff all of whom have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable! I had initial concerns that I would be forgotten about as they do seem to have a lot of properties and staff members, however this was not the case and is a credit to the management and organisational skills of the office! If you are considering putting a property on the market I would definitely recommend giving these guys a call!

On moving day communication was very poor which resulted in me paying additional costs to removal men as the store closed 3-6pm I was not told this was the case when calling for updates regarding collecting keys to new property .
