My new home purchase journey

My wife passed away in the early part of 2022 following a short undiagnosed illness leaving me totally devastated. As a consequence I found it extremely difficult to stay in my existing home and decided to sell up and make a fresh start in a new area. I originally started the purchase process with another house builder in St Helens, who shall remain nameless, as they became a nightmare with delay after delay, putting the sale of my home at risk, eventually I aborted the purchase.I looked online and found the Eccleston Homes Lords Fold development and came along to look. After speaking with Yvonne, she explained the stages of the development and the house location that I was interested in (The Clitheroe). Unfortunately, it would not be completed until September 2023 and there was no show home. However, Yvonne very kindly arranged a viewing at a home already occupied by a young family on the development to give me a better idea and feel for the house.I can honestly say Yvonne has been a great help to me, giving me advice and guidance throughout my house purchase journey. She has been a Consummate Professional, often when I have been quite tearful, as I am still grieving.I completed the purchase 15.09.23 and I am very happy with my new house, which I am turning into a home.There were a couple of minor snags, which is to be expected from a new build house being kick started into action with full occupation and use. I feel it's appropriate to mention Dave (Site Manager) and all his guys who have been amazing, actioning issues promptly with a sense of urgency.Just like to say well done to everyone at Ecceleston Homes and thank youBest wishes Warm regards Mr Stephen Coogan (Steve)

The early signs are good...

We’re only in the early stages of our purchase journey but we’ve been really impressed with the sales team at Eccleston Homes. It’s clear they employ a certain ‘type’ of salesperson and Anne Newman is a chip off the old block. Since recently taking over at Viscount Green, she has been a joy to deal with; she’s extremely personable, welcoming and helpful. We’re excited for the next steps of our (potential) journey and we’re glad we’ll be able to share our experience with Anne who genuinely seems to have our best interests at heart.

Aftercare once moved in at Walton-le-Dale siteMoved in June at Walton-le-Dale House is of a very high standard, few small issues but have been sorted by Eccleston team. We want to give a big shout out to Rosie Khan and Craig the site manager, any noticeable issues were sorted immediately by them and always checked in afterwards to make sure we were happy. We had Rosie during the whole process who again was outstanding during the purchase, unfortunately she has moved to different site and working ay Hyde site, Craig and Rosie always put the customer frist

Martin and Michelle - very helpful sales agents

We recently visited the new site in Horwich, Bolton (Viscount Green) and we were assisted by Michelle. We found her to be ever so helpful and as this site is new with no show homes built yet, she advised us of a show home we could visit at the Scholars Place site in Scarisbrick. We visited that site just to view the size of the show homes so that we could make an informed decision about the house type we would then look at on the Viscount Green development. Martin assisted us at the Scholars Place site and even though he knew we would not be purchasing any properties on his site, he was the most helpful sales person we have ever dealt with, going the extra mile to give us details and helping us with measurements of the room sizes etc. Even though he would not receive any commission if we went ahead and purchased a property on the Viscount Green site, he still went above and beyond to help us and we would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting the Scarisbrick site. We would also recommend Michelle to any visiting the Viscount Green site.

Excellent First Home!

Me and my partner just bought our first house with Ecclestone Homes @ Lords Fold and we have had a brilliant experience and we are really happy with our house! The sales advisor Yvonne was really helpful during our buying process and never failed to assist us wherever we needed it! She made sure was was happy with everything given it was our first time and was very transparent on matters we wasn’t sure about. Dave and Steve the site managers did a fantastic job on making our home to a really high standard and we are really happy with the finish we have. Throughout the process they kept us well informed of where was up to and upon moving in they immediately turned attention to fixing any snags or problems we had to a really good standard. Overall we are really happy with our first home and we thank all the team for the efforts that have been made!

Moved in January at the lords fold site in Rainford St.Helens. House is of a very high standard. Few small issues but have be sorted by Eccleston homes. I want to give a big shout out to Dave Turner. He gave us our induction of our new house, very professional and knowledgeable. He even supported us while moving in, ensuring we had everything we needed. Any noticable issues were sorted immediately by Dave and always checked in afterwards to make sure we were happy! Credit to the company is Dave and one of the reasons we are so happy! We had Yvonne during the whole process who again was outstanding during the purchase. After care team big shout on professional and always on hand to help. Anne Newman - Viscount Green

We have had such a lovely experience with Anne Newman at Viscount Green in Horwich. Anne is professional but also incredibly approachable, making the whole process of choosing what will be our ‘forever home’ as stress free as possible. We are still in the early days of our purchase but feel confident about everything so far given her infectious positivity every time we’ve seen her. Nothing is too much trouble, she never rushes any appointment and has so far made what is generally an intense experience really lovely! Amazing Home Buying Experience

Our house hunting experience has probably been like many other people recently. You find a house you like and someone pays a lot more and raises the price. You find a development you like but all houses are sold. House prices keep going up month after month until they are out of reach. It’s all very frustrating. Eccleston homes has been the best experience out of the many developers we visited. This is mainly because instead of telling us to keep refreshing the website for releases, Eccleston will take our names and work off a list. This works so well because you don’t have to worry about missing a release - not everyone has time to sit in front of a computer refreshing the website. The list system was massively appreciated!Dawn at the Christy Brow development of Eccleston Homes has been exceptional. She assured us that she knew the house type we wanted and would contact us if it was our turn on the list.Eventually, Dawn emailed us about a house that was available so of course we took it. Throughout the buying process Dawn kept in touch with us and updated us on even minor things. She is polite, friendly and would be happy to answer any questions I had. Overall this has been a very enjoyable home buying experience, thank you Dawn and Eccleston Homes!

My Eccleston Journey

My journey so far in purchasing a home from Eccleston homes has been nothing but outstanding from both Martin and the lovely Dawn. I must have asked and pestered Dawn so much but her patience and advice has been so valuable and useful. This funnels down from the top of the hierarchy right down to the people at the front desk. I say this due to issues with my mortgage at the beginning of the process and they were very patient and really put me at ease with no pressure. I would also recommend using their mortgage advisors, another brilliant company and it really helps if any issues do arise with any part of the process as the communication is very speedy. Its name is not as big as your well known developers, which I like as the care seems to be much more bespoke and the houses don’t seem to be thrown up. Hoping to complete in winter and I am very happy with the service so far. So don’t hesitate when thinking of a new build with these guys you won’t go wrong. So far so good and a big thanks to Dawn.,

We have just bought a Hartford on Lords Fold. From day one, Yvonne the sales consultant was first class. The calm in a very stressful situation (as moving always is). She reassured us, helped us, advised us and was very friendly along the way. The house was delayed- massively disappointing along the way but to be expected with covid and brexit etc. Prior to completion we met Ian, the site manager. Top guy- showed us round. Pointed out the odd snag we hadn’t seen and told us how it was all underway. Those who say their shouldn’t be snags don’t live in the real world. There will always be snags. Two weeks down the line most have been sorted and Ian is well onto the ones that haven’t. Nothing is too much trouble. Also their is Steve-The Other site manager. Again- nothing is too much issue. They have helped along the way and fixed any issues we have raised. Cannot fault the staff. Like any developers they are sometimesLet down by lazy trades- but they quickly put it right. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again and the staff really do make the developers. Massive thanks to the three mentioned above and they really doMake Eccleston homes. The house is amazing and the finish and quality is very high.

Really happy with the purchase and service received

Having purchased a number of new built properties from 5 star builders I was anxious as didn't hear about Eccleston Homes before. Chris from Sales @ Garrett Manor was very professional and aporoachable throughout the whole purchase process. We moved in 3 months ago and still are enjoying our beautiful house. We didn't have many issues and site management are great! All 3 site managers Dave, Matt and Lee are very knowlegeable, approachable and responsive. Excellent service provided by Dawn White from start to finish. I was lucky to reserve one of the last plots available at Eccleston and Dawn helped and supported me massively purchasing not only my first, but my dream home, which I am incredibly grateful for. Any questions I had (lots!) she answered, without any issues. Updates were given along the whole purchase and building process.
