Jane deserves a top 5/5 rating as she was excellent for both myself and the buyer. Very understanding, thorough and always available even though she works part-time. However Gregg (the director) was the complete opposite. You could ask him any question and 5 minutes later he would still be talking and you don't have an answer. You got sound bites not answers and this was extremely frustrating. I think hard when giving negative feedback as it can sometimes be 'emotional, not factual'. Not in this case I'm afraid. Ask for Jane and you will be very happy

We have just sold our property with Clarkson and Holden and couldn’t fault their service. They have a friendly approach and are very knowledgeable. Before choosing them, we spoke to a few other estate agents, but Clarkson and Holden suggested a much higher valuation than the others, who felt we wouldn’t achieve that price. However, our property had multiple viewings and sold within the first week at the higher value, proving their strong knowledge of the current market and effective marketing approach. The staff were always professional and approachable. Jane, in particular, was regularly in contact and excellent at chasing updates to ensure the best outcome for us as customers.

I found that working together with Gregg was effortless as his knowledge of the current market is impressive. He listened to my requirements, showed me options that were realistic and offered to negotiate on my behalf. If you are looking for straight to the point information as well as flexible viewing hours (I work into the evening) then I highly recommend.

What really stood out for me was how they remembered my name. I popped in on a Tuesday to ask a quick question about the process, and when I came back a week later, Jane at the front desk greeted me with, 'Hello Mark, good to see you again.' As a result of being totally unhappy with our previous estate agents we approached Clarkson Holden after receiving a marketing flyer. The decision to change estate agents to Clarkson Holden resulted in a property that had been on the market for 7 months with a previous competitor to being SOLD in less than a week of advertising. I was really pleased with the service I received. I engaged Clarkson Holden after being dissatisfied with the agents whom I had engaged six months earlier. The difference in approach was stunning. With Clarkson Holden I had a lot of viewings and I was always informed about them beforehand, via text and email. When the viewers provided feedback it was always sent to me quickly. I was also kept up to date and able to discuss the property by phone. The team were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The property was 'quirky' and not easy to sell but they got me a buyer and worked really hard. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Booked a viewing to a vacant property (round the corner from their office), received the confirmation text and email, then a reminder text on the day. Turned up but no one from the agency was there. Phoned up and a lady took my details and said she would investigate. 10 minutes later (waiting outside the property), a guy phones me up and said that due to a technical error the booking didn’t show up on their end, and that unfortunately all agents are out at other viewings so no one can come to the house. Utterly ridiculous! He was not apologetic at all and said it was just one of those things. I pointed out that we had taken the time out of our day and got a bus to view the property. This guy’s attitude was so cocky and unprofessional, not offering any sort of solution. I texted him after the call asking for his name; he replied with just the office email address and then clearly blocked my number. Utterly spineless. Don’t waste your time with these cowboys. Oh, and I still got the generic “What did you think of the property you viewed?” email later the same day! RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM AGENCY: I only swore at the incompetent person on the phone at the very end before I hung up. Their attitude was antagonistic, hence why I ended up swearing. You have written “as such, your viewing was cancelled” which is utterly ludicrous. You didn’t turn up to the viewing! So what on earth are you trying to say you cancelled?! No one turned up to the viewing and the guy on the phone said all your staff were out at other properties. So please don’t try and flip it as if you made a decision not to show me this property. You have not replied to my email complaint so this will now be passed on to the Property Redress Scheme. You can try and gaslight me all you want, but you are clearly spineless and run an incompetent estate agency. Pathetic.

Worked for this company six weeks, had to hand my immediate notice in and was told he was suing me for breach of contract.. I had to chase both of my wages up, I have text evidence of everything I will state here. Was told he will pay me when he was ready and not to pester as it will delay payment further.. Asked a day off for a funeral and was told no because I’d already had half a day sick and that “didn’t look good.” Came in early, worked late, had no dinner and still weren’t enough. Verbally abusive culture. Master manipulator. Avoid at all costs. Contractors aren’t paid on time or sometimes at all. Will ring you after a week telling you to reduce your home. Avoid like Covid. Rest of the reviews look fake
