I wish I could give 0 stars for this company. We were shown a property to let. We told her we love the property and would like to secure it. She advised us to send her an email as she wasn’t going back to the office until Monday. We did exactly what she advised and followed it with a telephone call. Her colleague told us she was busy and she would call when she’s done. She never called. Called again, same message from her colleague. The day ended with no call back. Called the following day and was told she was off work. Called the Wednesday and was told again that she was busy and would call back. I called back later, please note she had not acknowledged the email we sent on Saturday at this point. When I called, I was told she is on her lunch break. At this point I asked what was going on and her colleague told me that the property has been let to someone else. I suspect we didn’t get it because of our ethnicity. I couldn’t think of no other reason because she told us on the day we viewed, that no interest has been expressed. If you are from a minority group avoid Beals Estate Agents.

Head office didn’t complete my check out for 19 days. No contact…then told me they were taking money off for carpets (with one stain on apparently and the whole thing needed to be replaced) I even asked for proof of when the carpets were put in as they weren’t new when I moved in…and was completely ignored. They to date have not returned any part of my deposit…so far have sent me 2 invoices for things that didn’t need doing and I asked for proof of and this wasn’t supplied…they have refused to realise the undisputed amount…or even give me a figure of what the disputed amount is. We are nearly 6 weeks after handing back the keys. When we called we were told we weren’t allowed to speak to a manager and wasn’t even allowed a managers email address. This is not with the TDS (as Beals hold the deposit but it is protected) which so far after 10 days they have ignored them also. Tenants AVOID

FacebookThese people are all out for the landlord. Beals took months to sort out a broken shower and left me and my seven year old son with raw sewage floating past the only entrance to the property over Christmas, I had to call out southern water. On moving out they are trying to take all my deposit to redecorate a place that needed a paint job when I moved in, they are also trying to charge me for cleaning- fortunately I documented everything and emailed it to them where I have clearly stated property not clean. After liaising with a Hayley from head office who so obviously didn’t give a toss and couldn’t wait to get me off the phone I knew they were going to be no help. If you are a tenant avoid this company they are crooks.

We are sorry to see this post which is not indicative of our feedback. We have had a quick look, and the matter is to do with your deposit with you coming to the end of your tenancy.
Like all deposits, the good news is that your deposit is protected under the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS), an independent and government-backed body to adjudicate any deposit disputes based on both tenants and landlords evidence.
It is not a case of us taking any money as an agent. We do not take anything from tenants.
Also, the landlord will have to justify any claim of which you can defend.
I am glad to see you have documented the evidence and please submit this to support your claim with the TDS, which I understand you haven't done yet.

I do not know from where to start. If only I could give this agency 0 stars..If you will see ‘’this person does not rent from us’’ this mean that agency has put it on but I do rent from agency.We moved here In June 2020 during the first lockdown and it already started with lies - walls are freshly painted, property is clean and ready to move as it was video tours at the time because of the pandemic.On the day of getting our keys we have sign our contract and it was too late.I have started to clean the property and after 6 hours spendng in the bathroom my hands went down and I lost hope for cleaning, because mould was everywhere!! Everything I’ve touched was falling down! And then we called agency..We tought they will fix everything so we we caried on with making feel this flat like home because to find another property during the lockdown was nearly impossible.We have cleaned the mould from the windows and re-painted them. We have re-painted the walls which meant to be freshly painted before we moved as the agent told us.After a loooong 4 months spent in the flat they’ve send someone in to check on mould and fixed just a little part of it while we were away(Came back after a week and found toilet full of workers dump and not flushed! They ‘fixed’ mould just back of the cupboards but left all shelfs mouldy so we still could not use it and after 7 months of living in the property and paying full rent we kept all our kitchenware in the boxes!Wardrobe in the bedroom same as kitchen stinked so badly that we could not use it to keep our clothing in there and from the second bedroom had to make a closet.I could say more and more but I won’t beacause this agency is not worth more words from me!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS AGENCY!!
