I was due to start a job in Australia, I'd sold my furniture and given notice and then covid-19 hit. Consequently, I lost my job, was sleeping on the floor and suddenly had no income. Unfortunately, I had to go on Universal Credit which barely covered rent. I was behind by a month and have been since. Every person I spoke to at Beales treated me inhumane and treated me like it was my fault when quite clearly covid was affecting a lot of people. I spoke to around 4 different people and although some worse than others, I received little understanding.Then I had issues with the bathroom where I couldn't use it for around 6 weeks. During this time, I was speaking with a lady named Maxine Faulkner. She restored my faith in your business. Not only helping with the situation, which proved to be tricky conversing with several external plumbers etc. She took time to communicate with me on a human level with common decency. She bought up my circumstances and said she completely understood and I needn't worry. She offered her support in whatever way I needed.It is such a shame, that in a time when the world needs a little more human care, that not everyone in Beales was able to do so. However, Maxine is the sole reason I gave a high review.

Beals letting and management

From managing my rental each month through to selling the property Beals have been so helpful. I've used their financial services with Tracy arranging buy to let mortgages and renewals, Alex arranging insurance (and doing so whilst he was on holiday for me). Oliver looking after any issues I've had through to using recommend solicitors. Beals have helped me navigate the intricacies of month to month issues and very notably navigated me through ending the tenancy and selling my property. I cannot recommend highly enough how professional throughout the team at Beals has been.

It's been a long time since I had any dealings with Estate Agents and I was dreading it. I needn't have worried. Katie at Beals has been absolutely fantastic. She couldn't have been more helpful and I felt that I could trust her completely. She's an asset to Beals (I hope they realise) and I don't hesitate in recommending her. We found our experience with Beals excellent and stress free.Jade Goulding showed us around the flat. She was very careful to keep the social distancing at this difficult times. She was very polite helpful answering any questions we asked. She spoke to the landlord and asked a few questions we had. She helped us through every step in completing the necessary paperwork as this was the first time we have rented. She kept us informed as things progressed either by phone, email, or text.On the day of signing the contracts she went through everything to make sure we understood it all. Beals amazing team, Dan and Darren especially

Dan and Darren have worked wonders during the last 7 weeks. We were let down by a previous landlord 1 week before being due to move in and managed to get an offer accepted on a new house with beals the same day, the day of lockdown. We had massive issue with Honelet but Dan managed to get things sorted for us and was a pleasure to deal with. We are now 7 weeks later ready to pick up our keys and move in after they pulled a rabbit when it turned out 3 carpets were missing 5 days before move in day! Dan, Darren and the team at beals were a pleasure to deal with all the way through and always kept us updated....i really dont think we would of been able to move without them!! 5*

Incredibly bad

I’ve had an offer on my house since November. First they told me the buyer was a cash buyer. Presumably to get the deal. Then when this ‘cash buyer’ took out a mortgage, the sale ground to a halt. When I asked them to speed things up, they tried to pin the delay on me. They also asked me for £500 for the buyer to compensate him for the delay - unbelievable! Their nominated solicitors are also incompetent. Asking for the same information over and over again. When I seek updates, neither Beales or their solicitors respond to calls & emails. I had to threaten to pull the house off the market just to get someone to call me. There was a bit of activity as a result. After that, silence again. My experience with Beales is that of sitting in an information vacuum for almost 5 months, being duped into a sale to a ‘cash buyer’ (who wasn’t at all), and suffering both their and their solicitor’s incredible incompetence, including repeated requests for the same documents. And still, no sign at all of a date for exchange of contracts, let alone completion.
