Joyce Clarke is hands down, the best organisation we have ever dealt with, they are true experts. We contacted Joyce Clarke after they were recommended by a family member who had gone through a difficult personal time. Libby and John from Joyce Clarke had gone above and beyond helping them navigate their (complex) sale and it was from this, we knew our own house sale would be in experienced hands. When things don't go to plan (as is common with selling), you want to know it's going to be handled well. This was our first time selling a house and we didn't know much about the process. From the valuation with Libby to the sale completion with John, at every single stage, we were given all the information we needed and kept informed along the way. John, who handled the sale process is one of the most honest and professional people we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. John was like the glue that held the whole chain together and went above and beyond to ensure everything was aligned for completion day. If anyone is reading this and is not familiar with the selling process, we learned that selling a house, getting to the 'sale agreed' stage is the easy part. You could probably do that yourself by showing people around your property and them saying 'yes I would like to buy this house'. It's getting your property to 'sale completed' which takes skill, knowledge, professionalism, and most importantly - good communication at every stage. We never had to wonder what was happening, John was always 10 steps ahead and was so responsive - always calling us back immediately if we had questions. Even though he was busy, he would always give us the time to have a chat. Moving house is one the most stressful things you can do in life but when you have the right agent, it will be a million times less stressful. I guarantee anyone reading this, to sell/buy through Joyce Clarke, we can't recommend them enough. Thanks so much to Libby, Sharon, Colin, and especially John for everything! We have just moved into our new home. Our agent was Colin Murphy and we have to say he was brilliant. When we looked at the ad for it I rang and got speaking to Colin who went above and beyond to accommodate our viewing and arranged it within a few hours. It helped that Colin knew everything about the house and the development and lives close to the area. He kept us updated frequently about the process and was always at the end of the phone. He also was brilliant in being the go between with us and the vendors and very quickly negotiated a further deal for some contents. He also went out of his way to let us go again for a second viewing and take some measurements. He was friendly and up beat and always encouraging us that things were on track. He never left it too long to return an answer to a query. From a sellers viewpoint- excellent estate agents. Very good communication and very much promoted our property to achieve the best outcome for us and our situation as a young family. We were also told by John 3 times that he never would have expected our home to reach the value it did- this was unprofessional. 2 stars unfortunately from a buyer’s perspective. Strongly advised from our solicitor to not pursue a new build that JC were selling, as although there was an “interested parties” list for 4 new build properties they would potentially put on the open market which is very poor form when we had sold our home through JC. Met with builder on a number of occasions who was keen to enable us to book one of the homes. However, JC would not allow. Both JC and builder on very different wavelengths. Different conversations and builder unaware of message JC were promoting in relation to these homes i.e was not even aware of “list” Repeatedly, we had been advised to get in the best position possible- sale agreed on our home, moved into temporary accommodation (with a 5 month old baby and 3yr old,) had secured a mortgage in principle. B Unfortunately we kept being told that some sort of bidding would be encouraged totally unsure of final price. Moreover, JC secured a booking fee from one of our family friends for one the sites we had had been interested in- the builder informed us of this by visiting our home as he knew our situation. W.Scott- very decent and appreciated always his guidance. JC definitely dropped the ball and demonstrated unconcern as they were very much aware of our situation and seeking affirmation whilst living in a temporary accommodation. For this reason, we have been disappointed by the devious behaviour. Messed about with a young family and absolute no concern about our worries. So pleased our solicitor advised us appropriately to meet our needs.
