Take photos of everything before you move in!

Rented from let right in trefforest in my last year at university, had to pay £200 deposit at the start which is absolutely fine but what isn’t fine is keeping £80 of the deposit for things that weren’t my fault, when i moved into the property it wasn’t up to a clean standard, carpet needed hoovering and it was obvious it hadn’t had a deep clean. There were numerous marks on the walls and the mattress was stained on the sides (hidden by a mattress cover so i didn’t see this until i removed it when moving out). I wish i took photos of everything to prove it was not my fault as i am now being charged for it and i can guarantee the things said won’t even be corrected for the new tenants. I understand there is a stereotype with students but that doesn’t allow for us to be mugged off so landlords can make even more money!

Have had my deposit withheld by let…

Have had my deposit withheld by let right unfairly as they have claimed damages to the property that had already existed before I began my tenancy. I have photo evidence of said damages and they have not responded to my emails since I have disputed and have completely ghosted my emails and will not provide me the details I need to contact the deposit protection scheme regarding the deposit.

For god sake do not have a property with these people, I had a bedsit with this letting agency and trust me when I say I shared a floor with a bunch of animals, hygiene went out of the window, one of them did his washing in the shower and the other one would not clean the kitchen after him and would not put a toilet brush around the toilet, I left the flat in a better condition than when I took it on, and one of the other guys that moved out would piss in the shower. And by the way the office staff can't do simple maths, I put £230:00 bond down,, after charges of £136:00 I got back £51:00 so there was a hidden charge of £43:00 which I was not informed of. Dont go with these people.

5 Stars - Excellent Experience with Letright I lived in a property managed by Letright for two years and had a genuinely positive experience. Despite the negative reviews some letting agents receive, I found Letright to be exceptional. Upon moving in, both my room and the communal areas were spotlessly clean. Throughout my tenancy, Letright's communication was excellent. They kept me well-informed about all matters concerning the property and its surroundings. One of their strongest points was their responsiveness to concerns. Whenever I raised an issue, it was resolved swiftly - often on the same day, or at the latest, by the next day. This level of service was truly impressive. The property offered good value for money, which is crucial for students. I only moved out because I'm no longer a student, but I would have happily stayed if circumstances allowed. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Letright to other renters, especially students. They proved to be reliable, efficient, and genuinely cared about providing a good service to their tenants.

I cannot recommend Barry and the team more highly. I have used them to manage my properties for over 15 years which speaks volumes in itself. We have the unfortunate issue where a tenant has refused to pay and we have as a last resort had to go legal, as you can imagine this could have been really stressful, however Let Right have taken full control and taken ownership of the situation which as you can imagine is a legal minefield. Previously I have managed my own properties, but keeping up with continued changes to legislation lead me to find a reputable letting agent. LetRight took care of everything. They were efficient at photographing, marketing and ultimately securing an excellent tenant. Rent has been collected and paid to me on time every time. I rented a house in February this year through this agency. Everything was fine. Today I just wanted to pay the rent to my landlord but I made a mistake and I sent the money to the bank account of Let Right. After confirming the transaction with my bank, I sent an email to Let Right Properties explaining the situation and asking them to transfer me the money back. They answer me a couple hours later and informed me the money was sent back to my account. This was amazing! Usually I am carefully when I am doing online transactions, but today I was very stressed and tired. At the end of the day everything was solved and I could take a rest.

Bullies that just care about money

I rented with these a few years ago and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences of our lives. The house had a basement and was full of rubbish when we moved in but they just boarded it up so we didn’t have access, even though the house was advertised with it. There was a fire previously in the property and they just painted over the smoke damage, the linoleum in the kitchen was torn, the floors weren’t straight all the walls needed reappearing because the paper was torn, the boiler was faulty, the shower was barely working, there were rats nests and spiders nests everywhere.We were desperate to find somewhere to live at the time and we just had to move. Initially, they came quickly to sort out some of the problems but they refused to do some of the repairs and I warned them of the state of one of the cupboards falling apart and they refused so eventually the cupboard fell apart, I had to re-paper all of the walls throughout the house, I had to clean dried paint from the carpets, I had to buy more pain and I was paying £500 a month for this house but the actual agency were nothing but bullies and called me an idiot several times on the phone. Just before, my partner had moved into student accommodation and they refused to move him when he asked because he was being viciously bullied and gaslighted by his house mates because of his sexuality and the agent just shrugged his shoulders and said “That’s your problem.”Please don’t allow these horrible people to capitalise on your misery.Oh, and at the end of it all and I had enough, they accused me of leaving the property in a state and bullied my partner into giving them £300 for the repairs. We were only 19 at the time so you can imagine the anxiety it caused.And so they can identify me, I lived I. Phillip Street in Pontypridd. Even all of our neighbours and the landlord’s brother said how dangerously built the house was

Bad Attitude Towards customer

After having many issues with the property when we first moved in, I spoke to Vicki who was very helpful and was sorting everything out for us. I had a phone call from the owner of let right about and an issue which occurred in the late evening. When speaking to her, she seemed to have an attitude with me and was rude. I wouldn’t really expect that sort of attitude Towards anyone let alone a customer. Such a shame.

Thank you so much to Josh at sell right. Very professional, always on hand with queries and to help especially with our sale not being so straightforward. We decided to go with sell right due to the amount of signs we saw near our house with sold on them and knew we had made the right choice from when we first spoke with Josh. He wasn't pushy like others, happy to listen and answer questions. He was full of information and the pack with statistics were very accurate as the time we took from going on the market to sale was fast and relatively easy. Took amazing photos and got us over the line. When our first buyer pulled out he was confident we could sell again and within 2 weeks we did. When we thought it would all fall apart he kept our heads up and got us where we needed to be. He worked so hard and we are so grateful. We are finally in our new home and sold ours. Pestered, encouraged gazumping, dumped sign

In the end this company did what it was supposed to, but not before it went beyond its remit and continually pestered us (the buyers) to see why things weren't progressing as fast as they wanted. (That is what solicitors etc. are for). In the end, they got fed up and put the house back on the market even though we were just a week or two away from completing the sale, thus encouraging gazumping. Thank goodness the housing market here was slow. They also couldn't be bothered to take away their "sold" sign but dumped it down a side alley. Not very responsible. Sadly, this company let some personal relationships get in the way of a professional service. Not recommended.
