GoogleI would never use Clubley''s again and I advise anyone looking to rent a property to avoid them like the plague. When my wife and I first moved to pocklington we were looking for a house to rent. We found a very nice house in pocklington through Clubley's. We applied for the house but made it crystal clear that we both had poor credit history, so rather than pay the fee's and risk getting knocked back we wanted to know our chances of been accepted. We were basically told that we had been accepted so our poor credit history wasn't an issue. So we filled out the application form and paid the fee's. A couple of days later Clubley's phoned to say the landlord had changed his mind and not happy to accept us due to out bad credit, which we made clear BEFORE we applied. Clubley's then refused to give back our fee's. Had Clubley's been honest with us and said there is a chance you won't be accepted but we will still keep your fee then we would have never applied. Last week my sister-in-law applied for a house through them and exactly the same scenario. My sister-in-law told Clubley's she had terrible credit but could provide an excellent gaurantor. Clubley's took the fee for the application under the pretence she had already been accepted by the landlord. A few days later my sister-in-law received a call saying the landlord won't accept her or her guarantor because of her poor credit. Yet again Clubley's refused to refund the fee. Come on Clubley's........I'm sure you make enough money already without having to rip off hard working people. I advise people to avoid them at all costs. We have used RM English and sweet move, both of whom are much more open and honest.
