GoogleAfter having had one property fall through with another estate agent, it was refreshing for David Brittons to take the property off the market as soon as our offer was agreed. Contrary to other reviews, we found David Brittons to be very responsive to calls and emails, and no question was too much to answer for their fantastic sales team. Special thanks to Hayden Wilson and Brendan Foley, who communicated with us around our offer being accepted. Straightforward process from start to finish (8 weeks). Thank you 😊

GoogleWorst estate agents I’ve dealt with. Put me up in bid wars a few months ago for which I lost out (this bit I believe is fair enough). The house then came back on the market last month. They told me initially it had “fallen through due to personal circumstances” only for me to find out from the new prospective buyer the sale has actually gone through, I then called up and confirmed this. They continued to offer a chance to view. Turns out they were just using my interest in buying a first home to push their buyer to move faster. Complete waste of our time. *Updated since the owners response below: The reason I’m leaving this review is simply because we were lied to, smoke and mirror sales tactics unfortunately didn’t go unseen this time. The owner has clearly taken it personally rather than feeding it back to their team. All above statements are based on fact and if they would like to reach out so I can clarify anything I’d welcome it.

It always feels bad being the underbidder and sometimes getting a nod from the agent that a property could come back to the market is good estate agency and when requested by our vendor, essential. This property HAD NOT gone through but was on the edge of breakdown. If the agent didn’t even inform you I am sure the review would be the same. I am sure you won’t require us in the future, so happy house hunting and we really hope you find something soon. Nothing like your first home but very easy for too much emotion to cloud your understanding of the situation.

GoogleThe lady valuer from David Britton valued our property in Askham , Cumbria ( after going away to consult) at £450k, we eventually achieved £555,000 with another agent ….. unbelievable I appreciate this is two years ago but it is something than still rankles with us ….. and I have just read a similar review so thought I would add my opinion , what relevance is the timescale ?? And the fact that David Britton have the audacity to contradict me makes me more confident that I wouldn’t use them again!!

2 years after you sold you leave a negative review? In the most price crazy market that Cumbria had ever seen, with price fluctuations weekly and properties going into bidding wars everyday for hundreds of thousands over asking price. but you didn’t put this remark then but now, how strange!

GoogleDavid Britton Estates have marketed 3 houses for us. The first sold within a week. The second sold within a week. The third house was a listed building and frankly I was worried about selling it and feeling very negative. The team from David Britton were brilliant and David himself came along and talked us through it and it was sold in a matter of weeks! They were helpful professional and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of selling. Thank you team Britton.

GoogleThe knowledge the team has on selling our property in cumbria was excellent. The sale strategy was perfect and we sold the property very quickly. The only area we did get a little bit frustrated was initial feedback after a viewing which was in our view a bit delayed but maybe we were too impatient! I would definitely recommend them …

David - as you said from the outset you wanted to complete our story and you certainly achieved that. FacebookThe service has been fantastic from start to finish. The team were quick to come out to view the house, with marketing starting almost straight away. They vet potential buyers to make sure they're not time wasters. We had plenty of interest and in under 2 months from marketing had exchanged contracts. DBE has a dedicated team to ensure the sale progresses. We managed to exchange contracts in just five weeks.I can't rate DBE enough. I would never consider going anywhere else. All the buyers that viewed our house all said how good DBE were.Thank you so much to the DBE team!

GoogleFrom being unable to erect a For Sale board in a timely and secure manner; incorrectly locating our property on the online map; failing to respond to telephone calls and e-mails asking for advice; posting that the EPC certificate had not been provided (it had); broken promises regarding communication with us; adverse publicity in the press using none of the updated photographs we had provided...In short, at no stage did we have the impression that David Britton Estates were doing any work on our behalf. They were disinterested and incompetent throughout. After 5 months, and one viewing, we had had enough. A phone call from Mr Britton to acknowledge this abject lack of professionalism and to apologise for it was appreciated, but frankly, too little too late.

GoogleFrom start to finish, including viewings of properties through to exchange of contracts, David Britton Estates was completely professional and most importantly, incredibly friendly. Having driven over 350 miles to view properties, it was so welcoming to be greeted by such a friendly and knowledgeable agent. Following successfully placing an offer on a property, the after sales was exceptional. We were kept informed of all updates throughout the entire process. We feel they went above and beyond as we were also given advice on local schools for enrolment of our children following relocation. In summary, we feel so fortunate to have purchased our new home through David Britton Estates and would highly recommend them.
